Comment: We stopped here for lunch with a time crunch - the service was swift, food was delicious, and we made it out in 45min which was amazing. The most beef negimaki Ive ever been served. The back area has greenhouse vibes and it was a very nice ambiance. We would love to return and be able to enjoy it without any time constraints.*Edit: Weve returned a few more times and it is definitely a favorite in the area. Service is always great!

Comment: As soon as I entered I was greeted with a smile. I came in for lunch with my friends and we sat down in their back yard area. Very calm atmosphere with new renovations. We made sure to try their new refreshing drinks at their new bar. Very affordable prices in you are staying to eat out but at the same time save some money . :P

Comment: We gave this place a try and we did not regret it. All the other sushi restaurants in Williamsburgs are either hard to reserve, very expensive, require $50-75 no show fee deposit or closed on Mondays. We reserved for 7:30pm on a Monday night and upon arriving there were plenty of seats. The host asked us if we would like to sit in the back outdoor area and we said yes. It is beautifully decorated in the back, with lights, a mural, but you will be hearing the zapping of mosquitos and getting a few bites! We ordered a tray of sushi to share, some speciality rolls, an udon dish, gyu-don rice dish, and purple yam fried and karage. The appetizers came promptly and they were so good, the chicken was hot and fresh and came with sauce and a dipping salt. The purple yam fries were very interesting and I think it came with a matcha sauce. These two appetizers are really good and a must try. The sushi came and it was the typical rolls, not the best sushi quality but that is okay because it was still good and presentable, and this isn’t a $$$$ type of restaurant. The udon was good and so was the gyu-don beef over rice. We also ordered beers and cocktails which were good. Our party enjoyed our time here, it was quiet, soft, ambient, the food was good, and it is a great place to catch up with friends over a meal.

Comment: The best Sushi restaurant in the neighborhood. All the rolls are on point. The fish is always fresh. I highly recommend the the Crunchy Scallop roll.What I also like about Ako. is that all the staff treat you like a regular. They are always making sure that you are happy with the food and service.

Comment: Great discovery in Williamsburg. I happened to be visiting a friend in BK and he took me to Ako as its his favorite sushi place. I highly recommend the Four Seasons roll! Whenever Im back in BK Ill definitely be stopping in. Food and service were both amazing!!!

Comment: I came here after a tattoo once for a quick lunch and it was delicious! came here again after a concert with a friend after remembering this place around 9:30, we were seated in the back right away and the back garden seating was so cozy. it was covered but had heat lamps and hearing the rain patter on the roof was so comforting and nice. the food was DELICIOUS. the rock shrimp tempura had the most yummy honey mustard sauce and i could’ve had a whole second order. my friend and i loved the vibes of the restaurant. it was so great and i’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for delicious, fresh sushi.

Comment: We came here one rainy Sunday afternoon, thankfully their backyard area is covered with a transparent roof and we were able to hear and see the raindrops, we found it whimsical!Since I have not had a bento box in months, I ordered it to see what is their take on it. I selected salmon teriyaki bento. They first served a veggie salad with ginger dressing followed by miso soup.The bento box came with 4 pieces of California roll, 2 pieces of fried siomai, white rice, and salmon teriyaki on a bed of mixed greens. I thought the serving was generous for $13, and it didn’t compromise the quality nor the taste.On our way out, I told our server that we will come back next weekend. With great customer service and price points, who wouldn’t?!

The sushi was fantastic. We started with the tuna tataki and the edamame. Then some rolls. The rainbow roll was delicious. The staff was great !!

Comment: I was looking for a heated outdoor sushi place and again pops up Ako. I met with 2 of my friends who were in Manhattan and asked them to come to Williamsburg for better parking and food. They got to Ako before me. I found plenty of metered parking on the street and when I entered, all the chairs inside were stacked up. No indoor dining. Went all the way to the back and all sections back there were sectioned off. They do a good job separating everyone who wants to dine there. Since I have been here before, I ordered the Chicken Karaage....this is so fantastic. We loved it so much, we ordered 3 throughout the time we spent. Also had the same male waiter as I did last time. He takes care of us. He seemed to smile when we asked to do the Sake Bomb! We had 3 of those also!! My buddy ordered the big bowl of meat soup with noodles, and it hit the spot. They also give you a bottle of powdered hot pepper so you can add your own heat. The pan seared gyoza also hit the spot. The place started filling up but because of the dividers, its not easy to see the other people there. Its a good thing due to this covid. Ako is a good place to go with good prices and a friendly staff. I would return here without a problem.

Comment: I came here for sushi dinner I absolutely love this place. The restaurant is really large and beautiful. The back of the restaurant has an almost outdoor type seating area that’s very scenic. The sushi here is super fresh and delicious, and very reasonably price. Wine selection is also expensive and each class is only nine dollars. I highly recommend this place for date night or even a quiet dinner by yourself. The staff is also super friendly and helpful.
