Located in the heart of Riverdale along the commercial corridor this establishment serves up fresh sushi and other dishes.We ordered a range of sushi which was filling and very tasty. There is not ambient music of any kind so you can hear the conversations of others close by which isn’t fun while you’re having dinner and trying to have your own conversation.Soda refills aren’t free and dinner for two can cost anywhere between $55 to $60 without any alcoholic beverages.If you’re craving sushi and want to stay in the neighborhood try out Aoyu Sushi.We award this establishment four stars for the lack of ambient music which will allow patrons to enjoy the dining experience

Comment: My fiancé and I had a wonderfully scrumptious sushi/sashimi platter consisting of beautiful thick cut fresh assortment of fish. The fish was perfectly cool to the tongue and firm. The combination platter was served with miso soup as well as a salad. We washed down the exquisite platter by pairing the dish with an Asahi beer for me and a cool glass of chardonnay for her. The dining area consisted of a long stretched wall couch with tables and chairs to match and face the bench. Along the opposite wall were smartly matched tables for two. The quiet, conservative emporium made the dinner palatable and easy. I loved the asian art scattered along the wall to add to the artistic and classy ambiance. We both enjoyed our dinner and look forward to returning. The asian staff were remarkably soft and easy to engage with. Very polite, warm, and friendly. Until next time.

It has been consistently spectacular and I highly recommend it. I’ve ordered omakase and the service was particularly spectacular for that experience. Because I prefer just a few of the fishes due to my taste. I would stick with just The king salmon and otoro fatty tuna next time. They bring melt in your mouth to a new level. When ordering omakase style they made an a great effort to ask how our meal was and explain all the of the fish. This place is worth the high price

Was expecting something amazing but it was like a priced up version of the duck egg noodle soup you could get in BO KY nyc chinatown for around $10 and tasted 90% like it, duck and broth and everythin. Not sure if I want to give their tonkatsu a try.

Comment: Aoyu sushi has a high quality level of sushi for an affordable price that one would not think you could get in the Bronx. Normally, you would expect Manhattan or queens to have great sushi. But here, tucked away in Riverdale, I was served an amazing Omakase. The fish fell apart like butter, was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully dressed.The service itself was great, too. Albeit, I came in on a quiet night but they were very attentive to me. The miso soup was also wonderful - not too salty and didnt taste like the pre-packaged kind. I would definitely come here again!
