Comment: This is a Korean owned Japanese restaurant with dishes cooked by Korean chefs and it IS DELICIOUS! Ive tried a lot of noodle restaurants that have been fairly good, but none have been truly unique. However, Mazesoba is amazing and it will definitely be a regular stop when we drive over to the area.

Comment: Beat Mazesoba is a great new Japanese restaurant in this area, I’ve been here twice in the past month! I like that the menu isn’t too big while still having enough variety that I can come back here a few more times and still have different dishes to try out. The shoyu ramen is good but I definitely recommend the beat mazemen, it’s my first time having mazemen and it’s so good! The banh mi fries were good too but the main dishes are already so filling, I wasn’t able to finish it. The service here is also good, and the interior is very comfortable. Would love to stop by for happy hour someday. I highly recommend checking out this place if you’re in the area!

Comment: I had a delightful experience at Beat Mazesoba! The clean and airy ambiance, along with the thoughtful design, created a spacious and elegant setting. The white concrete walls and hanging pendant lights added a touch of modernized sophistication. My udon was not only delicious but also freshly made on site, ensuring great value for money. I only wish I could buy a pack of their noodles to take home. Definitely planning to return with friends!

Comment: Beat Mazesoba is the kind of restaurant that you can recommend to all your friends and theyll never be disappointed. While many people might go straight for their ramen dishes, I would encourage you to try their signature mazemen; its a very filling, well balanced dish.

Comment: The wait takes so long that your body will transition into conservation/starvation mode to preserve your fat, but once the food is out, it’s good. The dishes are yummy—great noodle texture and flavors. The beat mazemen is a little too yuzu citrusy/sweet for me so I stick with other more savory options but overall solid stuff. Maybe the long wait is their marketing tactic after all.

Comment: All of the many foods were so amazing! But my favorite out of the many dishes there was the veggie mazesoba. It tasted even better after mixing the veggie mazesoba with rice. The mazesoba had some spice with it but was also very sweet. All of the dishes especially the mazesoba tasted superb. There were also some ribs that tasted extremely good. All of the dishes that I tried were very flavorful. To add to all the amazing dishes, the customer service was amazing and the atmosphere was very enjoyable.Overall the beat mazesoba was an amazing experience.

Comment: It was amazing! I tried the okonoyaki and the udon salad. The okonoyaki was so good it melts in your mouth! It was sweet and salty but not to overpowering. The udon salad was so refreshing and had such an aroma! Everytime I ate a bite it felt like heaven. The atmosphere was great and the workers there were kind and patient. They talk well and have excellent manners. The service was quick and the food was hot and fresh. They never used lower than perfect ingredients.

Comment: The service was good and the waiter was friendly. Good atmosphere and interior, I liked the cozy atmosphere the restaurant gave. The food they served was also fantastic, and felt like a kind of a fancier comfort food I could enjoy any time. The udon salad was zesty and it was nice to have along with their signature maze sobas. My favorite was their salmon bowl. The salmon was very tender and chewy, you can tell that it is fresh and high quality. The portion was big, which is a plus. I highly recommend this place.

Comment: Great food and service on the Northern Boulevard!Came in with my friend for a quick lunch. Ordered two starters for sharing and one ramen each. The ribs are truly amazing, with amazing sweet and sour sauce on it. The fired chicken is not so juicy but still worth a try.The best part is the ramen. I had the one with a raw egg with it. Mixing the egg in the ramen adds more flavor in it, and neutralize the salty flavor from the ramen and pork. My friend orders the yuzu ramen and it really has a strong fresh yuzu flavor in it. We have tried more than 50 restaurants of Japanese ramen but this is the very first time to try the yuzu ramen. The dishes are normal Japanese ramen restaurant sizes and, as for a party of 2, 2 or 3 starters and one bowl ramen for each would be enough. Ordinary price but amazing taste! We received warm welcome from the restaurants and they refill our cups very often. Great experiences and would definitely come back.

Comment: My husband and I, along with our 1 year old daughter, came here on Valentines Day. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too busy, we went in at around 7pm.E x c e l l e n t S e r v i c e !!It was a one-woman show. Having waitressed in the past, I know how stressful it can be doing it all alone. Cleaning up tables, setting them up, greeting and seating customers, serving customers, etc.Even though I brought all of the utensils and the water bottle my daughter needed, the waitress still provided water, an extra bowl and plastic ware for her in the very beginning 🙌🏼 She was moving non-stop but still kept a friendly attitude. The food was very delicious and came on a timely manner.Def recommend this place. Even if you have a baby/ toddler 😄

Comment: Excellent service, friendly staff, and delicious food. Theres only municipal street parking, no parking lot, but its on a side street, off Northern Blvd, so parking was not difficult to find. We ordered the Sweet Sticky Pork Ribs, Karaage, Chicken & Pork Bao Buns, and Banh Mi fries - none of which I could complain about; all highly recommended. The Shoyu Mazemen was exquisite, but it does tend to get on the salty side towards the end. I tried my friends Beat Mazemen and it will be what I try next time. Contrary to other places, they are generous when it comes to garlic in the Mazemen, so make sure your date is eating it too. 10/10 would visit again.

Comment: We had dinner last week right across the street of Beat Mazesoba and were appealed by its exterior design. Hence, we came to give it a try this week. The option on the menu wasn’t in a great variety and focuses on Mazeman & Raman. We got a Mussel Deluxe Pot and Beat Mazeman to share with a group of two. The portion was great enough with a reasonable price.Everything was amazingly delicious and delicate. We were impressed by their Mazeman, which could be tasted in three ways, no add-on, with vinegar & with rice. Each way had a different flavor and we really enjoyed it.Our favorite ingredient in the noodles was the braised pork belly, which was soft, tender and extremely tasty. The seafood in the mussel was fresh and cooked properly.

Comment: Upon walking in, my eyes are immediately drawn to the huge Seigaiha print in the bar area. This theme of blue waves continues on in their dishware and tokkuri. Aesthetics yall.Mazemen, also known as abura soba, is a soup-less ramen dish served with various toppings and sauce. Definitely try the beat mazemen which is a combination of the shoyu and yuzu shio mazemens. By themselves, theyre like little rays of sunshine in the middle of a rainy spring day. Together, they meld into the scorching beam of the sun in the midst of an icy winter afternoon. It really is that much more satisfying.Unfortunately my friend, having just returned from Japan, was not impressed with the ramen. Another miss was the hanger steak. It was oily and underseasoned. Stick with the appetizers and mazemens. One thing to note is the tenderness of the meats. The pork bellies and the steak were soft and succulent and the wings were moist and juicy. Major props to the girl working the night we went. She was the only one in the front of the house and was helpful and friendly despite being busy.

Comment: This place is one of my top Grub Hub go tos. Today I decided to eat in house, as usual everything was amazing but it tasted even more special since I was eating immediately in situ.I had my usual Beat Metzoba which is the brothless soba noodle ramon with pork belly, in house you can get a miso soup for a $1 extra if you wish, being my favorite dish from here, always a beautiful eyeful and just as delicious an experience. My start was Karr-Aged chicken bites which are Japanese fried chicken pieces, they were quite crisp on the exterior but moist and tender upon your first bite. The spicy mayo sauce and lemon were the perfect addition, I ate it all myself and was craving more, the portion is big enough to share for two. The main dish I had was Chasu Don which was a pork belly dish with a fried egg and other delicacies, alas it was too much for me to finish in one sitting so I had it packed to go. They packaged it very tenderly like an original to go order, how thoughtful!!The hangor steak is a regular favorite of mine as well and so are the Bao Sandwiches and the Blistered Shishido Peppers. I honestly dont think you can order badly here. The place has a really kool vibe as well with a wonderful modern minimalist style and cool contemporary tunes in the background to set the mood. They are covid compliant with sanitizing gel on every table and all staff wear masks. You are required as by the law to be vaccinated to enjoy indoor dining and it is courteously enforced. In more favorable conditions outdoor dining in the back patio is also available.Im glad I came the staff were welcoming and professional and I will definitely visit again as time allows.

We were a table of 12 people, and the servers did a great job with taking each order and any extra things we requested (side condiments, additional orders, etc.). They allowed us to put our belongings on an extra chair so we could sit comfortably. The beat ramen is not a traditional ramen and does not come with soup, but is smothered in a delicious sauce. It comes with a mini portion of rice to mix with the sauce. The bahn mi fries were fire, too. Yumm!

The sticky rib is crsipy and tender. I think its just try. Mazeme is a brothless thick noodle. I order the beat mazemen. It comes with chasho and minced pork. Its a bit salty. It also serves with a small bowl of rice rice. If eats with that, it will taste better. The chicken skew is just so so, not so impressed. Overall its worth for a try. I will come back next time for the YYuzu cheesecake.

Comment: Veggie Mazemen is an incredibly delicious dish!!! The noodles are tender and soft, greens have nuts and a pleasant aroma, and the fried tofu on top takes you into space without Space X’s help. Fried fish tacos are the best tacos I have ever eaten. Mexicans need to come here to taste the real tacos. The fried wings turned out to be very homemade, delicious and perfectly cooked! There is no restaurant in New York that tastes better, serving tacos, fried wings and mazemen. I highly recommend!

The ribs could have use a bit more sauce but was still good. Their signature beat mazemen was on point. And order the mussels.

Comment: One of the best Japanese Restaurants that serves unique Izakaya and Ramen.Beat Mazesoba is not your typical Japanese restaurant. They serve a variety of Izakaya or appetizers that you won’t see in other Japanese restaurant. I encourage you to get the yakitori, tuna tacos and chicken wings.Perhaps the most unique ramen experience I got was their mazemen. Its a broth-less ramen with amazing flavors. It is mind-blowingly good. I’ve never had Japanese food like this before. When you are in Northern boulevard Queens, go and visit this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Comment: Great atmosphere, simple decor and open design. They have large tables for large groups. The food was great and good portion. Had a miso ramen, the soup is rich in flavor and the meat are really tender. My wife had a Should Mazemen, which I also tried. I actually like the Mazemen better, the flavor of the meat and gravy is more intense. Street parking only.

Comment: Unique experience of eating ramen without the broth that tastes delicious. Also had the burger (which was cooked perfectly and incredibly juicy) which we upgraded to have fries on the side for just two dollars. The dessert (a slightly citrus-y cheesecake) was admittedly a bit pricey, but good enough that I didnt regret spending money on it. Definitely planning on coming back and introducing a whole bunch of people to this place. As an added bonus, if youre Korean and not comfortable with english, the owner is Korean, so dont worry about the language barrier.

Comment: ***This review was based upon a visit when indoor dining was still an option.Even during a pandemic, new and exciting places open up. Beat Mazesoba is certainly one to talk about. They are a Japanese fusion restaurant in a popular area in Flushing that is less than year old. I had first heard about them when indoor dining was allowed and made it a point to visit as soon as possible. The capacity allowance in NYC at that time for indoor was 25%. The actual size of the dining area was quite spacious. The employees all were wearing masks and using gloves when handling food. The hostess took my temperature and I had to fill out the contact information sheet. The spacing was very good in between the other guests and I chose the seat right near the entrance. As you walk toward the interior there is a large bar area and a kitchen behind. My server was a very courteous and cute. The other employees who helped in between were very courteous and polite. Unfortunately I was not able to get her name or any other employee give proper recognition in this review. She was very helpful with ordering and at one point I had made an error ordering. The chicken skewers come two in an order and I said I wanted two skewers which sounded like I requested two orders. She repeated the order back to me to confirm and I really thought I was ordering just two skewers. They fixed the bill and I wholeheartedly apologized to my server for any confusion. For my appetizers I ordered the KIMCHEE BOAS (chinese gua bao with pork and kimchee), Salmon Tartar and the CHICKEN YAKITORI (the subject of my apology to the server). This particular establishment specializes in ramen. And not just any ramen...MAZEMEN is quite different from the usual that people are accustomed to. Previously, I have not really seen any other restaurants offer this. It may even be more rare than dipping ramen in my opinion. Mazemen is a dry version of the noodles were it comes in a bowl with all the toppings and you mix it all together (similar to the Chinese dandan noodles). The directions for eating are to first mix, then taste, then add vinegar and then mix leftovers with rice. This particular dish itself is quite a hardy meal on its own! Their signature ramen (called the Beat Mazemen naturally) contains pork saboro, scallions, chives, garlic, onions, arugula and is a combo of their Shoyu and Yuzu Shio dishes respectively. They also have a Curry and Veggie version for different options. If you want the more traditional ramen they do offer that as well in different varieties but all using fish broth.Of course I had to save room for dessert. On each table they advertise a Yuzu Cheesecake (which was a collaboration with a Brooklyn based dessert company called Kitbsy. You have option for a scoop of ice cream and my server recommended the Uji-Cha swirl flavor. Most definitely a great recommendation and unique dessert.I ordered a lot of food and it was all so delicious. Normally it is not an issue but I had to eat quick because of the curfew imposed on restaurants at the time of my visit. All the food came to the table fairly quickly...almost too quickly which was both good and bad as I was trying to savor the previous dishes and my ice cream was starting to melt a bit.But overall this restaurant is highly recommended. Food and service are on point and the ambience is perfect to bring a friend / date. They offer outdoor heated dining until indoor is allowed again and there are of course take out and delivery options.

Comment: Review with my local guide account to make a better impact. This business deserves it.Havent reviewed a place in a while and Im glad I can do it for this spot. First of all value. Not only are the portions great, the food also taste amazing. Lets talk about the pork belly baos, delicious. The friend chicken? Juicy and crispy. Sadly they didnt have shisito peppers or edamame today. I didnt have time to take a picture of their signature noodle dishes, but it was absolutely declious. I also love that they give you rice to mix with the left over sauce. I wish there was more rice. The steak over rice was good, but the steak was a bit too burnt. So I would rec sticking to their signature noodle dishes and appetizers. 11/10 would come back for drinks and food. Great business great taste and great value.

Comment: Ive ordered delivery from here multiple times and every time the food is spot on and always warm or hot. The mazemen style of ramen is something I only discovered at this place and I am glad I did. Like anyone else, I love the standard tonkotsu fare that is most associated with ramen this side of the Pacific but mazemen (broth-less ramen) style is just as delicious and is a must try for any ramen lovers. It also has the extra perk of coming with a little bit of rice to soak up the left over sauce so you feel less foolish holding up a bowl to finish the broth. Ive had both the restaurants namesake - Beat Mazemen - as well as the curry version of their mazemen and both are wonderful. From other reviewers, I also decided to try their ribs and their karaage (fried chicken) and both are really tasty though I favor the ribs. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Comment: I started it off with their bahn mi french fries and it was well seasoned and had the right amount of sauce. It was a good choice. The mazemen was really good. The sauce and noodles were on point and the portion size feels just right. On mondays all mazemen are 11$. The pork chashu is a little underwhelming but if thats the only flaw you cannot go wrong. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. This place is relatively new but they have a bright future, I would definitely go again.

Comment: The pandemic food scene has been hit or miss in my hood but this spot had been on my list as it even opened during the pandemic. Hands down, excellent foodie spot for light eats, ramen or select Don Buri options. As it is a limited menu, not all items are available now during the pandemic (like their sushi stuff). However, the cooked food more than satisfies. My family and I tried items from each category. Must try: the Pork Tontoro (pork cheek), the Beef Sukiyaki Don and the Miso Ramen. The taste elements of these dishes really came out and was very memorable. I shall return to try their Mazemen (no broth ramen) in the warmer months. Given its still March and 32 degrees, we just wanted that hot and savory ramen.

Comment: Had indoor dining here for lunch. they follow COVID regulations. Felt safe. Ramen was good had the shoyu and miso dashi ramen, they use fish broth which is different from the usual pork broth. It tasted a little lighter but still very flavorful. They had a lot of other appetizers too which I will definitely come back to tried. The nanban chicken was very good they were nice enough to give us an sample. Will definitely recommend here for ramen.

Comment: Amazing new noodle spot. Perfect dinner for a chilly night especially since we have to dine outside. The spicy miso ramen is always my go to. Spicy umami broth with perfectly cooked noodles. The roast pork slices were huge and the char on the meat really takes it to another level. Also the runny WHOLE egg was a nice touch, instead of most places giving you half an egg... The kara age (fried chicken) was delicious, seasoned very well. As well as the tuna tartare served on a little fried piece of seaweed. All in all, a delightful dinner experience. I didn’t get to try the famous mazesoba, that will be on my next to eat list.
