Comment: Good ambience and aesthetics. The service was great, the whole staff was on point. The food was delicious, I got the opportunity to try a little of everything. The spicy tuna sushi and fried shrimp were delicious starters. The hanger steak was cooked very well, a perfect medium rare and it came with a tasty miso pepper sauce.

Comment: Wonderful atmosphere for a nice date with the girlfriend. The waitress was exceptional, extremely attentive, very patient, and just wonderful all around. The food is high quality, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The Scallops with the Miso butter are incredible. They were cooked to perfection. They were not overcooked and chewy but sort of flaky and tender with an incredible flavor when the miss butter is added. The sushi & sashimi combination was excellent. Everything was incredible and so delicious. Yes, the pricing is high, but its absolutely worth it. You are most definitely paying for the quality of food and the excellent service provided. This is NOT like other sushi restaurants. They do not drown their sushi rolls in sweet sauces and mayo. Will be back again.

Comment: Came here with my long term partner who loves fish. We both got the yuzu lemonades to drink, and sadly they werent as good as we were expecting. For food, we got crispy rice, spicy tuna maki and spicy crab maki. Then we got the chocolate bruno for dessert.The crispy rice was delicious and well made. We loved the presentation! The maki was also very tasty. I didnt love the dessert, mainly because it just wasnt what I was expecting. The chocolate tart was extremely dense and heavy and the crust was hard to cut through. The green tea ice cream was lovely though.Overall the service was wonderful and it was a nice dining experience.

Comment: We had the crispy rice for appetizer, it’s something I’d never had at a sushi restaurant and it was really tasty. We had 2 maki rolls - Ebi Tempura and the Sakana Sanshu Roll. Both were great. We loved the Chocolate Bruno and Green tea for dessert. Everything was so fresh! And quick service. Would definitely come back.

Comment: Blue Ribbon Sushi is my go-to spot in FiDi. I usually stop in for dinner, but today was a lunch visit.What I appreciate about Blue Ribbon’s sashimi plate is that they include pickled cucumber, shredded daikon, kombu style seaweed, and ginger. I like how I can enjoy this with my sashimi.Now for the fish, it is a great value for its price point. Especially the tuna, it will melt in my mouth.Their tomago is a little on the sweeter side.I generally get their kani sushi as an add on. The rice is seasoned a little on the saltier side and there is only a hint of vinegar, which is what I prefer.If you are FiDi and are craving good quality sushi or sashimi, you should stop in.

Comment: I really enjoyed my dining experience at Blue Ribbon and would recommend you trying this place.Their interior is spacious, lowly dim, and well lit at the sushi chef kitchen. It’s a romantic, fun and busy restaurant with yummy sushi and food.We decided to try their:Miso Soup (9.5/10, it’s miso soup but DIY)Yaki sea scallop (9/10, wish it came with 4 pieces evenly)Cauliflower tempura (9/10, would like to see better sauce options)Lobster roll (8.5/10)Salmon avocado sushi (10/10)Lychee Martini (9/10, lady next to us enjoyed it and highly recommended us to try it)Chocolate Bruno with Green Tea ice cream (9/10 didn’t enjoy the water part of the chocolate Bruno )I would have given 5 stars, however one of the waiters was being weird when he was serving us. He randomly took away our specials and dessert menu without asking us if we were done with it. We didn’t get the chance to look at it yet. It would’ve been respectful to just ask us. The younger waiter serving us provided excellent customer service, and because of his customer service, it made the dining experience even more enjoyable. He seemed to be happy to be there which was refreshing and nice.Overall: I definitely recommend you to come here and enjoy the food. Great for date night or friend outing!

Comment: Popped in cause Manhatta was full and really glad we did. The atmosphere was great; fantastic service, low lights and dim music. Sushi was delicious and the cocktails were great too. If you like Japanese whiskey, try the Getsu which has Suntory Toki in it. The green tea creme brulee to finish was perfection.

What a fantastic place with freshest Sashimi I ever had, I also tried the chef special - fire fly squid as appetizer…. ! They were all delicious. Prices more to the higher ends, but if you are sushi/sashimi lovers, you will definitely need to give this one a try.Unfortunately the day I went, they were not serving hot food (except miso soup), but having amazing sushi & sashimi, who really needed the hot food items lol.Another note worth mentioning was that Staff were friendly & attentive & knowledgeable in what they are doing.Must try if you are around the area.

Comment: Not a surprise that these guys have nailed it again. By far the best sushi in the neighborhood and it was desperately needed. Very comfortable space with great service and Kazu one of the many great chefs is incredibly attentive and friendly. I’ve been three times already and he never disappoints . I even tried Omakase specifically tailored for my tastes and was wonderful. Seafood so fresh. It does put a dent in your wallet but you get what you pay for.

I had the 7 pieces assorted sushi and 1 roll ($34) plus a Lychee Martini ($16). I was asked about food preferences (spice level) and dietary restrictions. I really appreciated that. The wait wasnt long. The food and drink an absolute delight. A beautiful space. Highly recommend.

Comment: We really had a good time tonight at Blue Ribbon Sushi. We walked in and we were greeted right away. As we went to our chair the entire staff welcomed us. It made us feel happy to be there. They gave us a great seat right in front of the sushi chefs. I had a lot of questions about the menu but the server was very patient and explained everything for me. I ordered the sushi general, which is 7 pieces of sushi that they pick for you. My companion ordered two rolls. We also ordered the green tea creme brulee and the ginger bread for dessert. At one point during dinner we spilled a little water on the table. They came and wiped it up. That was nice of them. Everything was amazing. The food, the drinks, the dessert, the service, the atmosphere was great.As we left, everyone thanked us for coming. We spent about $160 for two. It was not cheap, but the fish was really good -- soft and fresh.
