Comment: Stopped by Bread & Butter on a busy Saturday for a late night dinner. From the outside this place looks more like a convenience store. The full menu was not available given the time of day but there were still a lot of options to choose from. The food was made-to-order, the service was quick, and the portions were large. Comment: Lovely experience every day during my stay. The hotel I stayed at recommended I go for dinner on Thanksgiving when everything was closed- sure enough, they were open and had plenty of options. I even got a great breakfast for the next morning! The staff here are patient and helpful, making this tourist feel at ease. I went 3 days in a row and was never disappointed. I had breakfasts, dinners, desserts, drinks, and snacks here. All very affordable and delicious. Ill be sure to come back when Im in the area again 🙂

Comment: Hit the hot food bar buffet for lunch today. $12.99/lb. Awesome roasted pork, marinated steak, fried shrimp and chicken & broccoli. Calamari was overcooked, salmon under seasoned, potato was dry and the meatballs definitely came from a frozen bag. This and a can of soda ran me $16.17. Overall though, the place has a little bit of everything. Pizza station, hot & cold food bar, chopped salad station, smoothies and juices, sushi area, desserts and more.

Comment: I was pleasantly taken back by how fresh foods were one Friday night when neighbouring, some Michelin-starred eateries were not available for an hour or so. We had stir-fried rice with chicken, Sun-du-bu stew (soft tofu soup, one of the regular K-meal fav) and bibimbap. All freshly made right in front of your eyes, generous portions and amazingly delicious! Seasoned perfectly and all full of fresh Veges and other ingredients. Hands down my fav shop!

Comment: This place has everything you want.. I did it for breakfast. Classic short order place, I asked for a western omelette with extra cheese and bacon. Everything was fresh... Did I mention bacon 🥓🥓. I also grabbed a panini to go for lunch after at the airport. This was at least 100 times better than any I could get at the airport. And at the fair price... Cream cheese was in limited quantity and good . Not overflowing, like they do in some places . Coffee was average . It was surely fresh but a bit watery . Should try other things like panini, wraps etc sometime . Loved this shop overall 👍👍👍 priced ok . Bagel costed about 3.50 and coffee about. 3$ .. good service and fast billing

Comment: This place was like finding gold at 3am after a concert at The Garden followed by socializing until most everywhere was closed for the night. We were pleased to find a bounty of options ranging from healthy to junky, fresh to processed, hot and cold, breakfast lunch and dinner + juices and smoothies. Something for everyone! They have hot and cold bars during the day that are closed late night, for obvious reasons, but we still had more than enough options. We have returned repeatedly and all of the employees have been super nice and down to earth with a family vibe. Everything seems clean in the food areas and everything has been tasty plus fairly priced for the city. We’ve told all of our friends who are up for shows at the Garden regularly, usually staying at the Stewart hotel, and are known to get hungry late night. Very pleased to have found this place!

Comment: We stayed at the Arlo down the street, and ran into this place alot. Absolutely brilliant. its 24 hours, so in the late hours theres not as many options as during the day. We went back the next day around 10am and WOW. talk about everything you could want. From acai stuff, to sushi, to Asian buffet, to egg sandwiches, bagels, turkey sandwiches... it had everything. Single beers, chocolate, coffee. Just go there and you wont be dissapointed. We stopped in every day and night we were there, because the halal carts were the only other option at late night and those were awful. Go to this place and you will not be dissapointed. Brilliant

There was a buffet where you can serve yourself whatever kind of foods. Then there are also different counters with different types of food. It’s open 24/7 so you can come In here and get healthy food at any time of day or night! 😳 I personally really like salads, and soups. you can get them here fresh 24/7. There salads are way bigger filling then just salad, or subway & they have a lot of healthy options for toppings. Vegan options. 😋 for 10$ and some change. I was like num num num. 😀 I got the tossed salad option w 7 toppings, instead of the serve yourself salad bar buffet that’s 10$ and some change per lb because I know I’d go crazy on that one with all the healthy options they have there. I just wish they had fresh lemon for the salads too. I didn’t see any. They also have a public bathroom but for customers only.

Comment: We visited the city the weekend before Christmas, being not from the area we found this place within an hour of arriving to the city!! We had almost every meal at the W 31st location. Everyone here is so helpful and variety of food is out of this world. Prices are beyond resonable. Everything from drinks, snacks, dinners and dessert. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone!! Comment: Ugh its sooo good, and reasonably priced! Thats a real unicorn in NY. They have plentiful seating both upstairs and downstairs, good staff and a wide variety. The soup is a great bargain and the boba tea is v tasty. Highly recommended for a meal for one, or with friends. Only real downside is that it can be a bit confusing with the pay per pound method, and a bit intimidating the first time, but it ok.

Comment: Breakfast here every day of our stay! Good quality food and service unbelievably quick. The breakfast sandwiches were cooked to order and boy are these guys quick. Self service lunch looked good too but we already had lunch plans so didnt actually eat lunch there. Write a few tables at the back to eat in with a few standalone fans to give some respite from the heat! Definitely worth a visit.

Comment: Make sure you visit the Bread and Butter cafe! We made the mistake of not stopping in until our last evening in the Big Apple and Loved it! They have a hot bar with many delicious specialty items that are purchased by the pound. They make awesome sandwiches and more, along with many mouth watering bakery items. We had the best carrot cake weve ever tasted.There isalso an area upstairs where you can enjoy your food purchases, or take out if you prefer. The only draw back is its a bit pricey, but what else is new in nyc right? 🙃

Theres so great variety of food that you can eat something different every day: from sushi and Japanese dumpligns, seafood, meats, salads, to fruits and huge sandwiches. I love them, although they have a problem with my credit card, so I suppouse its ok to have some cash with you in case of card issues. Last but not least: everything is fresh and delicious :)

Comment: Bread and butter is a culinary gem. Their food and serving practices are consistent with environmentally sustainable and higher quality cooking and meal offering practices. Not only do they offer your standard deli food, but they also offer a variety of Asian foods, burgers, and quite an extended salad bar thats quite tasty. Some of the prices are quite reasonable for being near the empire State building, while others are pricey. They offer free lemon water and provide ample seating. The meal orders are done quickly and the lines to pay are not long, thanks to the efficient and pleasant natured cashiers. The only two downsides are that they dont have alot of outlets to charge their phones and a code is required to use the bathroom. Its only given to those who purchase something. Aside from that, this place is a gem. Definitely give it a try.

Guys working the tills werent too friendly but the guys cooking the food were really nice. At first thought it was a bit expensive but then realised they were just New York prices. Comment: This place is a great place to meet to collaborate on things at all hours. They have a massive variety of food, mostly buffet style. Its standard Manhattan pricing. 8-9 dollars for a sandwich, 9 to 11 dollars for a salad, and around 9 dollars per pound for buffet food, which usually looks really appetizing and relatively fresh, as opposed to the places where it seems like the food has been chafing for weeks the staff is a bit gruff--dont expect smiles and a friendly hello from most of them, and the bathrooms are just a step up from Porto-potties a lot of the time. But aside from those two issues, i highly recommend it.

Comment: This is a great place to stop by and grab a quick breakfast or lunch to go. The service is very quick, even during the rush times. They have a wide selection to choose from--youll definitely find something you like.Most importantly, the ladies at the front are super friendly and kind, and so are the rest of the staff working food and prep. I go here almost every day because of the customer service. Its difficult to be both efficient and polite, but they pull it off! Amazing!
