Comment: I came in during lunch hour on Friday and it was quite busy. I was greeted by this young gentlemen at the front of the cashier and he guided me to the menu. I was quite confuse about the menu and he was very kind enough to guide me through every single bowl on the menu. What I was interested the most was the special (Kaisen Chirashi) that they had only for the spring/summer season. The cashier was very patient with me and explained what was in the special bowl which contains Lean tuna, toro tuna, hamachi, ikura, and my favorite Uni. I gave this bowl a try and surprisingly it was very fresh and delicious. The presentation is definitely Instagram worthy. Overall experience, i am very satisfied and will definitely come back.Food: 4.5/5Service: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5

Dole Whip is a pleasant respite from the sweatier days. though Dole Whip tastes best in Disney World, iyktykstaff is pretty curt

Couple of issues, the sauce is a bit overpowering so you cant really taste the fish too well. Also even though i like how they used a more environmentally friendly bowl, the sushi rice is very sticky and sticks to the bowl. They should probably put a thin layer of salad greens underneath so the rice doesnt stick.

Comment: Neat little addition to the poke scene! Good selection of poke bowls from the menu from the standard to some unique ones like smoked mackerel (special of the day). Nice, attentive and fast service at the counter. The food is a little on the pricier side for what you get (ordered a large which looked more like a regular), and I would have wished that more (vegetables) sides included. The dole whip dessert is worth coming for.

Comment: On the pricier side for poke bowls but their ingredients are high quality and the flavors they use are scrumptious! Sometimes they can add a bit too much salt and itll be too salty but at least you have the rice or salad to balance it out.I also like that you can go carb-free here making it a healthy, yummy lunch option. You can substitute the rice for salad, yay! You cant go wrong with any of the options on the menu. I usually have the salmon or tuna options!Unless youre really hungry, just get the regular portion, it is already very filling. They dont have many seats there so Id recommend getting it to go!

Comment: Poke is fresh, but way too pricey in general. They had a special poke bowl that was selling at $25?? Their normal poke bowls are around $14-$16, but the fish given wasnt that much. I would not come back, but I still give it a 4 star because in all fairness, the food is good.

Comment: Id say this place is much more of a upscale poke spot compared to others. Really quality ingredients but pricey, and theres no option to customize your bowl. I got the regular size (3oz fish portion) ponzu salmon which came with about 5 tiny pieces of salmon. Unfortunately this is typical of most other poke shops, where you always leave wanting a more even fish to rice ratio.Overall tasty and worth coming back, it just wouldnt be my first choice in a poke spot since I like to create my own bowl and load on the toppings. Theres also barely any seating, so would recommend you get an order to go.

Comment: Poke is one of those things that have been getting popular in the city, within good reason. Some great places have opened up and Chikarashi is one of them!Chikarashi has been on my list of poke spots to try for a while now, and when I realized they extended the hours to accommodate someone like me who would go there after work, it was a major plus and I then had to try it!An interesting twist they have here at Chikarashi is that they have some unconventional bowls here to provide variety, which includes cooked fish, a concept that is not poke at all. My friend and I got the Seared Toro Suji as the cooked dish and Sichuan Chili Salmon as the typical poke bowl. The Seared Toro Suji was good with a nice char taste to it. I have to say though that the star of the show was the Sichuan Chili Salmon! It was not too spicy (for my taste buds) and the salmon was prepared very well. It is one of the best poke bowls I have had so far in NYC. I need to come back here to try some of their other poke bowls and hopefully resist the temptation of having the Sichuan Chili Salmon.. even though it is so good!Ah, and what do they have here for dessert?!? Dole Whip!! I did have it.. but maybe I am spoiled to having it in California, it is good do not get me wrong.. but its not the same as when I had it on the west coast. Maybe I had just the okay batch that day who knows.Anyways, with their recently extended hours, make sure you take a trip here!

Comment: I was craving for poke for the last little while. I mean, Ive been to Wisefish Poké, and it was okay. Not the greatest. So I searched up poke again on Yelp, and this popped up! Luckily, I had a docs appointment today in Chinatown, so I ended up traipsing to Chikrashi for lunch.First off: The space is lovely. Its a little tucked away from the crazy Chinatown, and its so clean and minimalistic.The service was great -- the people that were helping me out at the cashier were very nice and approachable.I got myself the wasabi-goma tuna, because I was craving both avocado and wakame. The staff was right -- the regular was VERY filling (3 oz of fish). I wonder how full I wouldve been with the large! I brought the poke home, and devoured it quickly. I just wished they had more avocado in it. Ingredients were super fresh though.Apparently its still the soft opening right now (I hope they wont be TOO busy in the future, just for my own selfishness... Heh). They plan to open it for the evening hours as well, but that will be later in the future.BONUS: They carry Schweppes Cream Soda!!!! I havent had this since I was visiting Hong Kong.

Comment: Best poke bowl Ive had in a long time! Ingredients were fresh and produced big and bold flavors. The portions are a little on the smaller side, so getting the large is worth the extra cost. The lines can get long, but service is fast. Only knock, there is a weird smell that fills the small space. It took a little getting to used before it went away.

The chef has created several combinations meant to bring out the flavors of the fish. They sometimes offer specials using seasonal fish. Each bowl can be made gluten-free. Its a small space with only a few counter seats available, so plan accordingly. Try the fluke, its delicious!

Staff was very friendly and do a great job of explaining the items. They have about 7 food selections and 2 flavors of dole whip.Would recommend trying it if you are in Chinatown. Comment: I love their rice, its imported from Japan and made from scratch. I ask for extra rice every time they never charged me the owner is very kind. Fish is very fresh and delicious. Its a little expensive but worth every bite. Ive tried everything on there menu. My favorite is wasabi mayo tuna. They are relatively new and I see good things in the future for chikarashi. I recommend any sushi lover to tried them atleast once. :))

Comment: I came here after hearing this place had Dole Whip. Ive never found a place in NYC that sold it. Ive only had Dole Whip in Hawaii and in Disneyland/Disney World. When I came in, the staff greeted me and asked if I had questions about the menu which was helpful. I know they are relatively new but I appreciate the customer service. I ordered the Dole Whip and mango soft serve twist. Its not bad for $4 and they give you a generous portion. Its a bit creamier than the Dole Whip Ive had but tasty. The poke bowls look good, maybe a bit pricey but I would come back to try them. Sadly, I had already eaten before I came there.
