Comment: Definitely a regular haunt of mine in LES! A very small and cute counter spot run by two nice Japanese guys. It really feels like youre in a small hole in the wall Japanese spot. Though a bit of a warning that this place only has seating for 5-6.With lots of tasty and unique dishes:- Millefeuille katsu sando (patty is layers of pork slices)- Black sesame cold noodles- A5 wagyu sando

Comment: Is it a small market in NYC or an izakaya in Japan? No one knows but you’re lucky to stumble upon it. The counter service is impeccable. The duck ramen is perfection. Not too salty but with so much flavor.

Comment: Truly feels like I tumbled from Delancey St into a casual izakaya in Japan. The onigiri (rice balls) were perfect and the karaage was juicy. Couldn’t recommend more!!

Comment: This is a very special spot where it’s the original spot where Cocoron first started. It’s a perfect cozy humble space that seats about 8 people and i felt like I got transported to Japan. The vibe was very warm and the staff were incredibly friendly.Cocoron market now is like their own test kitchen and they offer new dishes almost every week depending on the season or their interesting to try something new. Their main focus is elevating home-style dishes but turned up a notch by using really great quality ingredients, which you can really taste the thoughtfulness and love that goes into making all the food. We had the Wagyu beef Katsu sando, chicken karage, slow roasted duck ramen, and A5 Wagyu hamburger bento. All the dishes hit the spot and we walked away feeling so content.Thank you Cocoron market for your hospitality, all the incredibly delicious food, and for the memorable dinner experience! We’ll be back again soon to try more dishes!

Comment: Ordered A5 wagyu bento a month ago and I loved it but it seems to be closed. I tried to order from there for the past two weeks but its never been open. Went to their instagram to see if there are any updates and it said coming back in September but no postings about it.Cocoron website really should update that information.

Comment: Cocoron Market is a small Japanese comfort food takeout/delivery restaurant that sells some grocery items like spices as well as dishes and teapots. the space is very small, no seats, well organized, and has that small shop charm that is necessary to become a neighborhood gem. Cocoron Market has only been open a few weeks and hopefully it thrives in the Lower East Side. the menu consists of a number of savory bento boxes as well as side dishes.stopped by and got the Karaage Bento—consists of an ample amount of Japanese rice, a small amount of vegetable side items like Cucumber Sunomono etc., a handful of juicy marinated Japanese fried chicken pieces aka Karaage plus flavored mayo. the rice was cooked well—sticky, firm, and touch of sweetness. the Karaage was flavorful and savory. this is a good amount that hits the spot when you want crispy fried protein, plus carbs that will fill you up. the Karaage is fried fresh as I waited for my takeout order. can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Karaage Bento box, $11 + tax + tipthe staff is really friendly, kind, and enthusiastic.
