Comment: Dao is the absolute best Japanese hibachi restaurant around. The other ones are good but Dao is the best! Generous portions, great tasting food, excellent service, and the chefs are fantastic and sure to put a smile on your face.I recommend the filet mignon hibachi!

Comment: Always a great time at the Hibachi, but we sat at a normal table this time. I recommend the Volcano Roll for sure but all their Sushi is delicious. Plenty of food too if you order the combo Hibachi, rice and noodles included. Service was great too, very friendly and always kept our drink cups filled.

Comment: Kids took us for our birthday and Mothers Day. The food was good but a little oily and salty. I guess you have to let them know not to much oil and salt. Rice was a little hard, the vegetables were not cut smaller(guess you have to let them know to cut it smaller also). There was 6 of us and the portion of food was a little disappointing. The cook at the Hibachi was friendly too

Comment: After trying the competition a week ago we went to this place near the 5 corners in Orchard Park. I like the fact that theyre not wearing cowboy hats and theyre not acting completely like kids all the time. Our chef seemed more professional than what we had at the other place, He still did the same stuff about you know, like throw food in your mouth and squirt the saki but as a whole I thought the quality of food was a little better and the routine went much quicker. I enjoyed myself although one note...... I didnt want rice everybody that ordered food accordingly got rice and noodles I asked for double noodles no rice he offered me one partial scoop of rice but then when I got my noodles I didnt get anything extra I wanted 2 full servings of noodles whatever that may entail then when he brought me the make up noodles that was already prepared in the back after I complained but it still wasnt a full order of noodles. If i ordered 2 orders of noodles THAT should mean 2 full orders of noodles just because Im paying full price and its not cheap to eat out anymore. Thats my only complaint. I do recommend this place over its competition.

Comment: Sorry for the blurry photos but its the best i could do while everyone was in motion. Hibachi is good or bad based on the chef cooking for you. I said what I said, and ours was the ABSOLUTE best man for the job. He talked with us and did the sake thing and made it so much fun for everyone that went. we had a group of 13 and he was attentive to everyone it was wonderful. The food was fantastic, I will die on the hill that fried rice is the worlds best food and Dao didnt disappoint. The bartenders we slammed but were incredibly pleasant and had fun with the crowd at the bar, drinks came quickly and correctly . After all this the tab for 13 was incredibly affordable and i was super surprised. Here is my only warning...since they squirt sake at people, it makes the floor an ice skating rink, it is SLIPPERY everywhere. So go and have fun, but watch your step, and maybe wear clothing you dont mind soaked in japanese rice wine, because it will be.

Comment: I consider myself to be extremely well versed when it comes to Japanese style food including Sushi and Hibachi. Let me first say this.... it was my girlfriends first experience, as well as the group of young ladies who took their friend out for her birthday. Dao is top notch across the board. We had an absolute blast (and it appeared the birthday group did as well) Chef Joe!!!!!! Not quite sure the hype lives up to how incredibly charismatic and entertaining Joes service was. This place is now in my Top 5 for restaurants in Western NY... o BTW not one person in our group was able to finish there meal. Prices were very reasonable, food was first class. I do not have many 5 star reviews.... this one is a no brainer... cant wait to enjoy the Dao Hibachi experience again.Go Chef Joe and his team!!!!!!

Comment: Hibachi is hibachi. But Dao is on another level. It’s super consistent, and delicious. But, what REALLY sets Dao apart from other places in WNY (such as Kyoto) is the staff. They’re always SO friendly and even remember you when you come in the next time. The chefs are engaging, and the atmosphere isn’t one where you feel stressed just going here.Best of all, they take reservations. (Also, unlike Kyoto) which makes coming here with a large party easy and stress-free.

Comment: This is one of my favorite restaurants in Orchard Park. I can’t say enough great things about this place! We go here for just about every family birthday party and it’s the perfect place to celebrate with a large group. It’s family owned and they are some of the nicest people I’ve met since moving here.The portion sizes are generous so it’s an incredible value that won’t break the bank when you’re taking out the family. The drinks are strong and there’s a great selection of sake along with a full bar. Definitely call ahead for reservations though because this place gets really busy.

Dropped his tools a few times, wasnt as energetic as the other chef serving the other half of our little island and just didnt seem with it.

Comment: Took my 4 yr old twins for bday dinner. They loved it! Werent scared of hibachi flames, or volcano. They liked trying to catch the veggies in their mouth & the baby saki. Plus, the staff brought out the big drum with ice cream & 2 candles & sang happy birthday 🎂. Service is fast, food always fresh and delicious. I really like all of the veggies they use. Great big portions for the money. Definitely some place I crave going quite a bit.

Comment: Had the Brochette of scallops (already ate 1 before I took the pic...so it comes with 7) with black rice (sweet and delicious!) and coconut shrimp roll (back ground)...both amazing! Also had passion roll, California and Boston rolls...again, delicious! Then Chilean sea bass to go along with 3 bento boxes and a Dao deluxe hibachi and a couple apps...no complaints! Highly recommended. 👍👍👍
