Comment: This is my first good and thorough review on Google Maps, so you better believe this restaurant is worth it.Hands down the friendliest and honest servers Ive ever encountered. Most of their dishes are absolutely delicious. I highly highly recommend their Thai Style Fried Rice: the flavors are still stuck to my tongue.I wouldnt recommend their Drunken Noodles, however. But I would also recommend their spicy tuna: the sauce and fresh avocado that comes with it makes it the perfect appetizer.For my spicy girls, their food is not spicy. They give you this sauce which is just pepper flakes in oil and its not spicy, just has the taste of pepper. But the simple yet fresh flavors of their dishes are worth coming back for.I cant wait to try their sushi. Ive never encountered a restaurant with air filled with delectable sushi like theirs. The only reason, I havent tried it yet is because of how interesting their menu options were. Planning to try their sushi next time I go there.🤞🏼🍣

Not surprisingly, all our usual haunts were closed for the holiday, so we ventured over to Washington Heights. Im glad we did! Geisha Sushi is a gem!! The service was good, and the Sushi delicious. I had the Red Dragon Roll, which I will go back for again and again, and my buddy had the Sunset Blvd. roll, which was wrapped in pink nori (who knew??) tasted amazing, and was the loveliest piece of Sushi Id ever seen. The only complaints I have was about the scallion pancakes which were burned instead of crispy, and they were out of the white zinfandel I wanted. Two small inconveniences compared to how great the Sushi was.You should definitely go.

And of course Miguel’s delicious passion fruit margaritas. He makes a delicious margarita, so definitely stop by if you can and ask him to make you a drink. He is super charismatic, and pleasant, if you do not like margaritas let him know your drink of preference. I’m sure he’ll def hook you up with a yummy drink.

I got the Sushi Chef Special (basically the most affordable omakase Ive ever seen) and it was perfect, fresh, so good. The Tatsuka Age panko fried chicken was perfectly breaded and fried. Mugs of Sapporo on draft was a treat. Im a long time delivery customer and fan, whos now also impressed with their wait staff, service, and in-person experience.

Comment: This has been a local fave for the past few years but I stopped coming for a while. This timeC I went on Monday afternoon at around 5PM, right on time for the happy hour specials. As an appetizer I ordered steamed vegetable gyoza (dumplings). The taste was okay. Without the sauce on the side it would’ve tasted very bland. I also ordered the Yummy yummy roll which was amazing, filled with shrimp tempura, eel, cream cheese and topped with sweet plantain and spicy mayo. It sounds like a mess but it was delicious and flavorful. Overall, they have good food for reasonable prices and their customer service is decent!

Comment: The best Asian restaurant in the nabe. Cozy and unassuming, they take pride in the food they prepare. I lived in Japan for almost 4 yards courtesy of the U.S. Navy, these folks make some authentic Japanese cuisine. I like their Chinese food menu choices as well. Being a sushi shop they gotta keep it fresh, no refried or refrigerated fare. You can taste the difference and freshness. They are $1 or $2 more premium, but its well worth it to avoid the cat and dog!

And I must say there gave been great finds which has been refreshing to your standard Mickey Ds to local Chinese restaurant fare.So this establishment was next in life to embrace and what a great 1st impression. According to my mom they keep a steady flow of folks especially in the summer.We did takeout and while waited (which was a little bit), we noticed several things. There is great turnover whether dining in, for takeout or online/call-in orders. Also we found there were two private hibachi rooms in back.So needless to say the next trip will be to sit in 1st and foremost and to try the hibachi. We ordered......okay I ordered quite a bit (result of running in E from just a morning cup of tea).Either all ordered well at least what was immediately eaten was amazing and super fresh. So I anticipate that when I go back for the leftovers theyll be equally amazing.Order: fried oysters (good), coconut shrimp (😋😜🤗 #Delish and Oh My Word the sauce), Rainbow roll (standard supa fresh), Caribbean roll (delish), Angry Birds roll (#Yum), Alaskan Roll (Mom liked), Nabe Yaki Udon Noodle Soup Noodle (TO BE EATEN), and Thai ice tea (okay)So can you tell......one I was super hungry.......two we enjoyed the takeout. So suffice it to say this will be the spot outside of our obsession with Fumo. Pricey but worth it, fresh and great portions.Side note little pet peeve one of the sushi chefs didnt change gloves while making orders and touching the garage can to toss out debris and didnt rinse out the counter rag often enough between counter wipes.With that said the food was amazing.

Comment: Two words: Sushi Pizza. That is an order you will never regret. I lived next to this place for a year and I ate sushi pizza every other day. And every time I had visitors, the sushi pizza was on the must-do list ! They are heavenly.Also, this is the perfect place to start a night out on a Saturday because on Saturdays and Sundays they have $6 cocktails if I remember correctly. I would always start the night there with my friends before we went to party. All the cocktails are really really good (but super strong so be aware!! Haha). Sushi pizza + good cocktails —> killer combo!This is one of two places I miss the most after moving from NYC. Enjoy it if you are in the neighborhood!

Its like they took a course in customer service but are still practicing. The few dishes I have tried from the menu of Japanese restaurant standards have been solid. Sashimi is fresh and well prepared - but get ready for some over the top presentations. Panko crusted fried oyster starter is highly recommended. If you are in the mood for a silly cocktail, there are plenty to choose, along with fairly priced wines, sake and beer.

Comment: A friend ordered take out from them and said they were good. I went to check it out myself and was very presently surprised. I had the veggie maki combo. It was excellent. About 18 pieces with wasabi, dakon, and onion on the side. It was sublime. Ive eaten in some really high end Japanese sushi/sashimi restauranta but this tiny place has great food, and great service, despite my servers limited English. They also mix a good cocktail. I had the house saki which came heated properly to the right temperature; just hot enough to sip while releasing that subtle saki aroma. There was a couple next to me with a stroller and the male was new to sushi and chopsticks but he dug right in and even ordered more of the California roll. Geisha Sushi is so good it took a neophyte and made him a believer in the sushi revolution. He even liked the seaweed wrapper on his California roll. To top it off the prices are fair and on the low end & that along with the vast selection makes them a real gem.

My favorite appetizers: Peking Duck between pillowy dough, Fried Oysters (katsu sauce), Vegetable Tempura. The Lunch Specials are reasonably priced but if you are calling for Take Out, call with ample time. The Happy Hour Martinis are fantastic (Lychee or Mango #1) as well as their Mai Tai. Dinner is equally delicious. All and all a wonderful place to dine with restaurant quality food, beautiful setting and good service.
