Comment: The food here is amazing! It is seriously the best sushi I have ever had! All of the food was super fresh, like it was just caught! And normally im not a fan of miso soup, but their miso soup was seriously awesome. The customer service is amazing! Our server was so personable, and she is truly a gem! The head chef is also so nice, I saw him mingling with customers and such. Furthermore, one of the staff helped an elderly woman to her car. It was truly so nice to see the amazing customer service. The actual place itself is so cozy and not too small or too large, so the food comes out pretty fast! I truly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy, affordable sushi place.

Comment: Having shellfish allergies is difficult when trying to find good health food. Haiku has always made it easy and safe to enjoy the best sushi on the island. Extremely friendly staff and comfortable surroundings.easy to get to and from. Fast and delicious food.

Comment: Excellent experience at this Sushi restaurant.Warm service,order taken to perfection.The food was served hot and fresh.We loved everything we ordered.The tempura fry was awesome,the spicy chilli chicken was excellent! Overall so happy we tried this place after a visit to the Long Island Aquarium.

Comment: My first experience at this amazing sushi place was more than I expected. I was playing a show next door at the Suffolk Theatre. Thought this would be the perfect place to grab some sushi. I love the little building with the overgrown ivy and plant life - very quaint and inviting - makes me feel like Im visiting somewhere authentic...and it definitely was! I highly recommend the Panko Crusted Tuna Rolls and the Green Tea Mochi. An absolute delight! I will definitely visit again next time I return to Riverhead!

Comment: First time visiting here and my experience was more than pleasant. The waitress Maryanne went above and beyond on her service. Her pleasant personality, authentic smile, and genuine desire to serve was evident. The meal was delicious. I eat it all Im surprised my stomach didnt explode. Unfortunately, I was able to have desert. Although, Im lactose intolerant, I will be returning to try the fried cheesecake.Well I visited again to try the fried cheesecake. I gotta say the presentation was very appealing and so was the taste.

Comment: I like the chirashi and sashimi here. Especially the salmon which is cut perfectly and tasted delicious and fresh. The restaurant entrance is at an ally. The feeling is so quiet with a bit exciting. Finding the entrance is fun and discovering. I like the whole experience.

Comment: What does a farm cow and Haiku Sushi have in common? They’re both outstanding in their field. The food was excellent, portion sizes were healthy, and there was plenty of variety. Mary Anne, one of the owners, gave us personalized service by name and also offered her recommendations on what to order. The atmosphere is pretty authentic for a village sushi house, with vaulted timber ceiling beams and small lanterns and candles. I travel for work and get a wide variety of sushi all over the country. Haiku has some of the best around, and the prices are reasonable. Top notch!

Comment: I had an amazing experience today at Haiku. I’ve recently started eating raw/cooked sushi and I must say that it was amazing. Maryann, the owner was so sweet and helpful by making recommendations of her own about her favorite rolls and I must say they are all fabulous! Everything was so fresh and well made. Being a local and having this place near me is definitely a plus! Also many recommend them for their sushi!!!

Comment: So wonderful! We were going to dine outdoors because we had our dog with us. It was raining so we just decided on take out. It did NOT disappoint. Ken was so nice and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the sushi and sashimi for 2. And if you think you need more food then that, you are probably wrong. It is SO much food (and so fresh and yummy). We also got another roll and the rock shrimp which were really really good but we could not finish everything it was so filling. Thank you Haiku we will be back!!!

Comment: Went for the lunch special, which was a great deal. About $10 for miso soup, and two rolls. Everything was pretty good. The resturant itself isnt too big, but its nicely decorated and very clean.Note it shares a building with Taco Bout It next door. Theres clear signing to find the correct entrance. Haiku is on Main Street side, but parking is in the back of the building

Comment: Ive ordered from Haiku quite a few times. Food is ALWAYS outstanding and fresh! I hadnt ever made small talk with the people there, but this time, I did and loved the husband and wife team. As a restaurant manager of a family restaurant, I just love seeing them work together. What a great dynamic they have! Love this place! I just wish I could get a spicy tuna roll without mayo, haha!
