Comment: Sofa king good. Wish i could eat here every day but the sushi rolls are $17-$22 each now. Big tasty special rolls named after former customers - one of the longest list of special rolls i have ever seen - they make each one perfectly every time. I recommend the Christmas Tree roll if you like rainbow roll and seaweed salad. Kani salad edamame and gyoza are all very good here. Ate hibachi last time, chose filet mignon and shrimp and was not disappointed. They really know what they’re doing here. Full bar here. Lots of TVs with sports on. Always a party in the hibachi table room. Big and spacious. You can also sit at the sushi bar. Deserts are good. Have had tempura fried fried cheesecake here and tempura fried Oreos with ice cream.

Comment: The hibachi sushi ya is located in a nice location there are plenty of parking with the hugh lots. There is a large supermarket. This place is located at Jericho turnpike. There are ACE hardware store next to it.The sushi ya restaurant is nice and spacious.they have a bar when you walk in and the sushi bar is in the back. They also have three hibachi grill in the room different than the regular dining room so that the smoke does not get all over.The food here are broken down to 3 groupSushi: the offer plenty of selection. There are plenty of fresh fish all the time.Kitchen: crispy beef are to die for. They stir fry noodles are great along with all the soup noodle.Hibachi:They offer a great show and plenty of fun. It a great place to bring family.Have to take time to try all the item on the menu.

Comment: Overall the atmosphere is very nice. For appetizers we ordered the fried calamari, something with chicken curry and pancake, and shrimp tempura. The fried calamari was just delicious, as well as the chicken curry with the pancake. For the main course I order to the Tomy boy ( comes in a carved-out pineapple with chicken, shrimp and pineapple chunks). I would definitely recommend that to anyone that goes in there. I also order the Moana role and I enjoyed that as well. The Moana role is a little big in terms of circumference.

The other roll was something stuffed inside a squid tentacle. Interesting for the ascetics, but not quite as tasty. This is one of our regular sushi spots and worth the drive from Northwell homebase. Comment: A fantastic place to have a meal. A nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Of course the food is well worth it. Have both hibachi, dinner tables, and sushi bar. Plenty of delicious meals for everyone to pick. Highly recommend for the every day meal out to party occasions. Kids love the hibachi shows and their chefs are the best. A very family friendly restaurant to be in. They even celebrate your birthday by taking a picture of you and place it on their walls.If you or someone else is trying Japanese cuisine for the first time, then this is the restaurant to go to. You will not be disappointed and will want to come back for more.

Comment: Took my family here for hibachi one weekend night when I could not get a reservation at Benihana, and it was great- I actually thought the food, service, and ambiance (it was less noisy) were better than Benihaha. Also the combo selection was better, for example they have hibachi duck and tuna, in addition to the usual chicken/shrimp/steak dishes. The hibachi performance and progression was pretty much identical to Benihana. I also ordered the cajun salmon sushi which was fantastic. I didnt at all get the sense that this was greasy generic food. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. The prices were about the same as Benihana. Inside it was clean, well lit, and average looking inside (i.e. there no japanese achitectural pretense like Benihaha). From the outside, the place looks generic, being in the middle of a strip mall next to a grocery store, but as a plus, theres plenty of parking. If youre looking for a pleasant and enjoyable Hibachi, I would highly recommend this restaurant.PROS- Great food, atmosphere, and serviceCONS- Uninspiring facade, average Hibachi prices. BY THE WAY- THIS PLACE DOES EXIST! (theres a post below that says otherwise)

Comment: EXCELLENT FOOD & GREAT SERVICEI have seen this place a million times when going to the supermarket and never thought to stop in as it doesnt look like anything special from the outside.The waiter was so friendly and other members of the staff stopped by frequently to ensure everything was perfect.The food was great and far different from your typical Chinese food takeout. (This is a Japanese place but also serves items you would find in a typical Chinese takeout place)They filet fresh chicken and toss it in the sauce. None of the meat is similar to that you find in typical takeout places (i.e. mystery meat). The cutlets are so thin and well cooked. I never had Chinese food like this.Spicy Pineapple Chicken - fantastic.General Tso Chicken - perfect.Shrimp Tempura - fresh.Small green salad - pretty good. the lettuce was a bit wet. (but at least that means they wash it)Almond flavored hot Sake - delicious.Seating -- the tables have a good amount of space between them. It is much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside.I look forward to going back here.

Comment: We tried a couple of different rolls and appetizers to start with and all were great. We then went into the hibachi area and had filet mignon and shrimp, which was very good. The staff and owner were exceptionally friendly. Would definitely go back.
