Comment: Very enjoyable sushi restaurant. I went here for a good dinner and was able to try a good spread of sushi for a reasonable cost.We started with the pork gyoza, which was nice and pan-fried with a side of the classic ginger sauce. For rolls, we tried the Philly roll, atlantic beach roll, pink panther roll, and million dollar roll. All fresh and tasty, but nothing really stood out above the rest.I would recommend this place for some good choices of sushi.

Comment: Best sushi in Long Beach! Whether youre dining in or taking out Himawari will satisfy at every point. Quality ingredients are used throughout each of their menu items. Ownership is present and amicable with every familiar face he sees. The staff is extremely hard working and on top of their responsibilities even on the busiest of nights.

Comment: Been going here for years. Sushi is top notch, fresh, well made and prices are better than other places in town. The owner Jimmy is the man, he remembers everyone and is often the delivery driver. They are always open, great for a quiet lunch or dinner or take out. Lunch specials are awesome, any 2 classic rolls, soup and a salad for under $11. Theres a selection of sake and beers, staff is always great. Hot entrees and apps are great too.

The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is the lack of the hardcore sashimi eater items like Spanish mackerel, red snapper etc...

Comment: My favorite sushi restaurant on Long Island. I love it here and having worked in a Asian Fusion restaurant for years this place is on point. I recommend the Himawai salad for appetizer if you like sashimi. They also make an excellent futomaki roll. My friend is a fan of the salmon teriyaki the seafood udon soup.
