Comment: I loved dining at this place! By far my favorite restaurant that serves Asian food! There was a large selection of sushi special rolls that were each uniquely different from each other. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant and the servers were super polite. Food arrived fast as well! The experience was amazing, definitely coming back!

Comment: These guys are stellar. A driver accidentally forgot a miso soup my girlfriend ordered, and they called me 6 TIMES, and left 3 voicemail. Eventually I heard the voice of a chef delivering 2 miso soups, more sushi, a Thai iced tea and a iced tea to my door. All because we didnt get one miso soup.Amazing customer service is an understatement.

We usually only get sushi from there but I tried a chicken hibachi with fried rice. Blew me away I had to leave a review.

Comment: I started ordering sushi from here because they are on Groupon. Simply the convenience was enough for me to give it a try. Needless to say I was not at all disappointed. The food here was absolutely wonderful. I have had both the sushi and the hibachi and they were made with care. I was specifically impressed with the way the hibachi was made. Considering I ordered it as delivery, it was in a compartmentalized container (not quite a bento box). It was great and I really appreciate the small attention to detail. I do have a special event coming up. I am looking forward to my first in restaurant dining experience. Can’t wait.

Comment: Was in Port Jeff visiting family and went to the local popular lobster restaurant. We did not want to wait 90 mins for a table so we went to Hokkaido due to good Yelp ratings. In short, it was excellent food and friendly service. Habachi plates were enjoyed by kids and adults alike. They serve each plate in a tasty marinade suiting the meat choice. It was so flavorful you really dont need as much yum-yum sauce added. Several in my party had other dishes (a big noodle dish and Chinese dish) and were thoroughly enjoyed. Dont be fooled by the stripmall location or empty seats, the food and service here were great!

Comment: Hidden gem in a strip mall. A friend suggested it and I tried it for the first time. I have been very disappointed by sushi houses in the past so I was a bit skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety when you order a sushi roll it’s all fish with a sprinkle of rice and a variation of mouth weathering sauses giving you bursts of sweet sour and spicy flavors with different textures. I have very discerning taste and usually left disappointed but this place is a slice of heaven. From now on this is my go to Asian fusion house. I would also like to add that the staff is very friendly and made me feel like I was having dinner at a friends house.

We tried the special of the day sashimi mackerel and it was to die for! The owner is SO nice and accommodating! Definitely try the special sushi rolls, she’ll even customize it to your liking if you don’t like some too spicy. The entrees are all delicious, we tried the mango chicken most recently and it was very good. She has a frequent guest card that after a certain amount of stamps for dining in, you receive a $50 gift card towards dinner. Great atmosphere, I highly recommend!If you’re a desserts lover, try the pistachio concoction it’s melt in your mouth pistachio gelato.

Comment: Decided to try out this newly open Japanese and Asian Fusion featured in Newsday in Mt Sinai with our family. We were greeted by by lovely management and the server team.The decoration and setup was extremely impressive, we can see the details and passion that was put into Hakkaido restaurant.The food was amazing, very fresh and beautifully presentable. (Especially the sashimi platter). Food was very reasonably priced and prepared.Was greeted by the management team few times to ensure our food and service was good. Manager explained the core value of their restaurant and their passion to the new location.Will definitely make this a regular and heading back to try everything on the menu.
