Comment: Stumbled across the small Japanese restaurant while en route to another destination. Outside appears clean and warm, and considering it was exceptionally cold out, that was all the invitation we needed. While inside, we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who gave us our choice of seating. The seating is mainly open with up-to-date wood decor. There are two individual restrooms that were clean and maintained. Again, the little things all add up to the full experience.The menus are clean and laminated. This may not sound like a big deal, but similar to a receptionist in a doctors office, first impressions such as greeting staff or menus can often set the tone for the rest of the experience. The menu had many selections that included sushi, sashimi, traditional Japanese lunch boxes, teriyaki, etc. The prices were reasonable, especially for being in theater district in midtown Manhattan.I ordered a Japanese lunch box and my wife ordered a three roll combination. The clear soup came quickly with plenty of pieces of mushrooms, fried onion, and cilantro. This is the first time Id experienced clear soup with cilantro and I really enjoyed it. Now Im going to be looking for this as I visit other Japanese restaurants. They also kept a supplied with hot green tea which was both warming and comforting.Both entrees came shortly after we finished our suit. Both on trays were large in volume and beautifully presented. Additionally, the quality of the food was as should be expected. The fish was fresh, the tempura was crispy, and the rice was perfectly sticky. After having a nice size bowl of their clear soup, the entrees were difficult to finish. We took the rest with us and surprised our daughter who also gave the quality of the food 5 stars.This accidental find made our afternoon and will be on our will visit again list.

Comment: You have to give this place a try!!!! Sushi is extremely fresh and amazing! They have very unique kitchen appetizers, I tried their Ika Yaki & Short Rib, they were absolutely delicious. I forgot to take some photos, but will do that next time when I come back. CAN’T WAIT!!

Comment: So happy to have found this place! The food was so so good. We were starving and ordered a bunch. The apps were really inventive and tasty. We had this unbelievable baby yellowtail dish with herbs and spice mixed tableside. I also loved the squid, rock shrimp, tofu apps. The sushi was gorgeous and the rolls were really creative. My teriyaki steak was cooked perfectly. And the desserts were awesome too! Will definitely return!

Prompt and courteous service, great presentation of dishes, fresh fish, quality ingredients, and overall a pleasant atmosphere.After shopping and sightseeing, it’s nice to retreat from the hustle & bustle and recharge with some yummy food. Even better when they still offer lunch specials on the weekend so you get to try a wider variety with nice size portions.Sit at the sushi counter for dining with a view ; )

Comment: Everything is 10/10. Service, food, vibes, music. VERY HUGE thanks to Jason the owner of this lovely restaurant for the beautiful service. We need this restaurant in Chicago. My boyfriend said hes never had fish meat that was fresher than here. All vegetarian rolls were amazing too!! We were staying close by, and loved the food so much that we decided to have our anniversary dinner here too. Thank you so much for 2 lovely wonderful nights.

Comment: As someone who loves Japanese food I can say that this place is amazing. Great interior, staff are super attentive, polite and friendly (owner too), and most importantly the food was delicious. It was so good the first time we went we went the night right after. Our favorite was the pork belly buns (highly recommend), but the scallops and karaage were also great. The sushi was also definitely great sushi! We also had their sparkling fruit teas and desserts, the perfect way to end the meal. Cant say enough about how awesome this place is. Im eager to try the rest of the menu :D.Next time we are in the city, this is THE spot!!!

Comment: Outstanding Japanese food with excellent service. Truly an undiscovered gem.We stumbled on this place when we were on our way to another restaurant and Im so glad we did. While the menu is 8-10 pages long, it all looks delicious. We had tempura, gyoza, and a black dragon roll. All were expertly prepared, and probably the best instances of those items that I have had in years. So good! I wish I were staying in New York longer so I could explore more of the menu. Service was attentive and courteous. A memorable meal worthy of New York City.

Comment: Okay, looks like Ive found the most delicious and freshest sushi and rolls in New York City. We decided on a simple dinner and stumbled into one of the nearest spots, and it turned out to be one of the best choices. Firstly, their miso soup took me back to my traveling days; the taste was spot on, just like before (I was almost brought to tears). The rolls were extremely tasty, flavorful, and fresh.There was a slight mix-up with our order, but they quickly rectified it.I highly recommend this place to everyone. Hope to return soon!

I fell in love with their shitaki clear soup, kept coming every night for it.I tried their sushi as well as other plates, presentation is on point. Sushi quality on par with those from Tokyo. Sashimi is absolutely delectable, it melts in your mouth.This is my top favorite, glad that I found it.They do not serve alcohol, but have lovely matcha and green tea. Service is very fast.

Comment: This place is such a a hidden gem! My first impression when i walked in was how pretty the interior of the restaurant was. The wood accents and the dim lighting were very nice. The service was good and the food was amazing.I ordered the grilled chicken rice bowl and it had this sauce in it that made the dish more flavorful and savory. Comment: I stopped to kill time while waiting to check into my hotel, and Im really glad I did. This place is great. The service was fast and attentive. My plan to have a small bite was forgotten when I saw the lunch box combo on the menu. The kara age chicken was fried to perfection - crisp and juicy. The potato salad was creamy and delicious. The spicy tuna roll was fresh with the right amount of spice. I couldnt find fault with anything. Its also extremely affordable. If I lived in NYC, Id be here on the regular.
