Comment: We went for hibachi lunch. Ethan, our chef, was amazing. Although there were only the 2 of us, he didnt hold back on the entertainment. He accommodated me company with a low salt option and showed us a wonderful time. Our waitress was pleasant. Drinks are also good.. 🍸

Comment: 3.5For some odd reason, there are 6 sushi places on or off Jericho Trpk between Elwood Rd and Commack Rd. Thats gotta be some sort of per Capita record. And they are all decent.This one is good. We went on an off night, so the half that is Hibachi was empty - we did not have to endure the noise and perpetual birthday gongs.Sushi was good.

Comment: Lunch service was really fast, which is great for a quick bite. Started with the Gyoza and the Filet mignon Cappacio both were really good. I got a dragon roll and my wife had the Alaska roll. Sushi was fresh and not skimpy on the meat which is a plus. Would def recommend!

Comment: I’ve been here about 4 times now and I’ve never been let down! Everything was delicious and the entertainment made my whole family smile. I would recommend getting a fruit punch as a drink and the steak. I would come back any day!

Comment: Service is always fast! Order Hibachi food from a regular sitdown table instead of the hibachi grill tables.. food comes out SOO much better tasting and 5x quicker!! Sushi is always delicious but a tad pricey.

Comment: We decided to try this restaurant because we happened to be in the neighborhood. Its conveniently located next to a small shopping area with plenty of parking. The front of the restaurant is an interesting blend of Asian, neon lighting, and nightclub vibe. They have a bar area and lots of darkened booths. Located on the other end of the restaurant was the hibachi area which was surprisingly very plain and bland in comparison to the front of the restaurant.Like most hibachi restaurants, you end up sharing the table with other diners. The chef cooks everyones food on the flat top grill. Most of them will perform a couple of tricks like throwing pieces of food into a diners mouth or creating a volcano out of the cut up onions. So you end up getting dinner and a show.The menu is pretty large. They offer a very good selection of lunch options which included hibachi lunch plates. The lunch options are affordably priced and offered Monday through Saturday. If you tell them its your birthday you get a free bowl of ice cream. We ordered the chicken, steak and shrimp hibachi options. They all came with the usual grilled veggies and fried rice. While I found the food to be very good, I thought it wasnt as well executed as some of other hibachi places Ive been to. Yes, the steak was nice and tender and both the chicken and shrimp were grilled perfectly. But I noticed they put a lot of sauce in the fried rice and veggies. And all three of our dishes ended up tasting very similar.The people next to us also ordered sushi which looked wonderful. The food presentation was quite lovely and the sushi looked very fresh. I think if we were to ever come back I would try the sushi and skip the hibachi.

Comment: The sushi is very good and they have great lunch specials. The atmosphere is really nice in the front, theres lots of lights and cool architectural elements. The hibachi room is more plain. I got steak and scallops and my steak was cooked perfectly. The scallops were a little off which surprised me. Very attentive wait staff but, no free refills on soft drinks which we didnt realize. Overall Izumi is great I would just recommend it for sushi over hibachi.

Comment: Always enjoy our meal here. Great Service and fresh food. I personally like the spicy handrolls which I typically order. This was a small takeout order tonight to have a little fun. Japanese Pop sodas are another treat. Live the decor and food consistency. Definitely worth a trip to enjoy a cocktail and food.
