Comment: Unapologetically Japanese food indistinguishable from what youd get in Tokyo today, owned and operated by an enthusiastic young Japanese gentleman who you can tell really cares about taste and authenticity. A lot of these dishes are contemporary hits easy to find in Japan but really hard to find in NYC.

Comment: You know it’s good when you have to take a break from eating to review. Black curry comes with thick pieces of meat. Katsu is crunch and juicy. Gyudon is incredibly flavorful. Cannot recommend this place enough. Very authentic.

Comment: J’s Kitchen has been on my bucket list for a while and we finally got a chance to visit it.The decor is simple, bright and humble with cozy ambiance & limited seating. They serve dishes from 6+ popular restaurant brands in Japan.We got Roast Beef Don in regular size and Beef Cutlet Combo to share between us. Both orders were served warm and impressively delicious, especially the roast beef, which was tender & flavorful. Moreover, they also made rice and side salad perfectly.The price is extremely reasonable with its portion and delicateness. We highly recommend to give them a try.

Comment: One of my go to Japanese spots for lunch. I have had so many dishes from this little spot and they are all pretty good. It can take a bit to get your food(which means the food is freshly made to order) so either order online or come in when you are not pressed for time.My favorite dish is the chicken katsu don. I usually get pork from other spots but the chicken here is SO GOOD. This dish is closely followed by the black curry. I always get it when they have the special on the 2nd and 4th Monday~!I only dock a few points off because its pretty expensive. I mean its worth it but once in a while. I utilize the points card to work towards the very expensive dishes and get half off~.

Comment: I had a super good time at Js Kitchen! The staff was really kind and accommodating and the food was delicious too. When it came out it was super hot because it was straight from the kitchen which was so nice. I also really appreciated that the hamburger came with sides like fries and pickles :)It was definitely a new kind of Japanese food experience for me but the quality of everything was great. ++++ you also dont have to wait a long time to get it! Everything about this restaurant is very quick and organized. They definitely get your food to you quick and the interior is very neat and aesthetically pleasing.

Comment: If you want to try Japanese food, but dont want ramen or sushi, try Js. Its excellent. You can save money if you choose a special, or if youre really hungry, you will be totally filled up by the regular entrees. Every dish is cooked on the spot, and comes out of the kitchen hot and fresh. The food is really good. This restaurant has ties with a company in Japan, so their chefs are very well trained in regional specialties.

Comment: Ordered Kagura Pork Cutlet and Kuro Beko Beef Cutlet on separate occasions. Both were amazing!The pork cutlet had really wide cuts and overall the portion size was very satisfying. Sometimes when I order cutlet rice bowls (katsu dons) at other restaurants, the cutlet isnt crispy or is even soft because of excess moisture in the rice/bowl. Here, the katsu has a fresh crispy exterior and the rice has a perfect texture. If you order to-go, theyll put the cutlet and sauce in a separate container.The beef cutlet had an interesting color which I never had before (on the redder side in color) and it paired amazingly with a fresh wasabi sauce/paste. It was my first time eating beef with wasabi, but the flavors worked.Both dishes seemed to have high quality ingredients, and the staff at Js Kitchen are super friendly. I would highly recommend this location for unique, well-portioned, and tasty Japanese food!

Comment: They just opened and have 50% deals the rest of this week. Stopped in to grab the teriyaki torokero-wagyu burger for takeout and it was great! The burger itself was tasty though a bit messy with the sauce. It’s a little sweeter than I would have thought but otherwise loved how peppery it was. The caramelized onions on it were also a nice touch. The fries were super crispy and delicious too. Everyone working there was also super friendly and helpful, and everything was fresh!

Comment: I will say this is not a hang-out place, not fancy, food in disposable containers, but great spot when u r alone, on a meal break or just get off ur job. I tasted “REAL Japan” here!❤️🔥No high-level touch but a store like a family restaurant at the corner that I would go when traveling in Japan.The roasted beef on rice was so delicious! Soybean sauce mixing with half-raw egg, and you have a slice of beef dip in, eat with rice. This dish was cold tho, I do hope the rice could be warmer.I also had ✨takoyaki which the staff recommended and now I recommend. 5 pieces but 3 cubes of octopus in each piece! Crispy edge and melting filling. More the style from eastern Japan.The do have little details to improve but unique and real Japanese food as reasons to visit. I would like to try the black curry next time..!
