Comment: We went here Saturday on a bright sunny spring day. Our order was fulfilled quickly and we received our appetizers first. Three of our party had ramen; two others had donburi, along with a couple of sodas, boba tea and beer. Great meal and I took 1/2 my ramen home. The dining area was clean and brightly lit; we just happened to be the only customers dining in that evening.

Comment: The food is always good but tonight the waitress went above and beyond to make sure my son had a nice night out. He (3 year old) really wanted his sushi in a boat (he only got one roll), I asked assuming the answer would be no, and initially the waitress did say no (totally understandable) but when his roll came out it was on a boat and he loved it. She also took some time to chat with him and give him some extra attention. Definitely went above and beyond and anyone with a kid will understand the appreciation for that. Definitely come here and check the place out. Great sushi, huge poke bowls.

Comment: Such a great restaurant! I ordered Hawaiian tuna poke over mixed greens. The photo was taken when I was half way done.....sorry, but it was delicious. This place has the best poke in the capital region! Kuma Ani is very clean & follows Covid protocols. Great for a date night or a family meal. There are so many choices on the menu. Definitely will be back. Parking is a bit tricky, but theres a parking lot behind the restaurant.

Comment: Went on Valentines Day (which landed on a Friday) about an hour and a half before close - you could tell they just had tons of reservations and table but it had quieted down. Even though the staff was obviously wiped out from the Valentines Day rush, they were super accommodating (and helpful when choosing the perfect sake). Me and my date shared some dumplings (amazing), takoyaki (perfect), and a bunch of different rolls. We didnt feel rushed or stressed, and the chef even made us a specialty Valentines Day roll since we were the nights last table. Amazing experience, could not have asked for a better dinner (or Valentines Day) out!

Comment: This should be a 5 star place. The first time I went there,. It was all you can eat sushi. The second time I went there It wasnt and the hours of operations changed. The third and final time i went there, the store hours where wrong compared to the internet the door hours and the actual time the place opened. Great place to eat the first time I was ever there. I was not the only one disappointed. The remaining two times. Another guest were complaining as well. When you drive 2 hours and the place is closed and no opening time in site,. It is disappointing. I could have called, but I had other things to do in the area so no biggy.

The price is great if you are into eating a ton of sushi. They do charge you for food not eaten and I think thats a good idea and encourages you not to waste. The service was quick and friendly. I would certainly recommend this resteraunt if your hungry!

They had to put them on 3 plates instead of boats. The wait staff was very nice while we waited. When the sushi came out, the sushi was super beautiful, especially the single salmon pieces. I think Ive only seen salmon that nicely cut on single order places. The only thing that was missing were maybe peanut avocado rolls and red clam sushi, but its understandable if they didnt have them. Regardless, I would definitely recommend.

Most the other places you only go to for the all you can eat aspect, the quality of sushi here is something youd be willing to pay for by roll. The presentation in the sushi boats too really just makes the experience even better

The wait times can be lengthy if you dont call ahead but the food is well worth it. They have good all you can eat deals for lunch and dinner (as long as you finish what you order!). I cant rave enough about the quality of the sushi here, blows all other spots in the tri city area out of the water.

I have a higher calorie day each week and this is definitely my go to when I get to indulge myself so I dont eat too poorly (it keeps me away from the brownie sundaes 😂).

My favorite are snow white (with coconut milk topping) and Monkey roll (with shrimp tempura). Their buffet may be more expensive than order through menus if you already know what roll you want to get. Sushi is very filling. :)

Comment: Being from downstate, I was worried Id never find a good sushi place up in Albany, let alone a good all you can eat place. Kuma Ani took care of that concern. They arent overpriced like some of the other restaurants in the area, and their all-you-can-eat option is awesome! The kitchen service (meaning any non sushi you order) for the all-you-can-eat definitely lags behind the sushi service, which is atypical of sushi places but is still worth it. They do not server beer here (no sapporo for you) and the all-you-can-eat doesnt do any ice cream. Overall for the quality of sushi you get and roll choices, this is a great option to get your sushi fix!

The all-you-can eat pieces are small, so have patience and dont over-order. The hamachi collar is fabulous, the tempura is as it should be: light and not oily but crispy. I had the lobster mango salad to try something a little extravagant and it was a good balance of flavors. Each time the food has bee professionally prepared with all the details correctly done.

Comment: Ive been here about 4 times now, and I have to say that the fish itself is hands down the best Ive had in the capital region. There have been areas which needed improvement the first couple of times I was here. This included topics that have been mentioned in other reviews such as the tea being in a bag and then they just poured more water in (fixed now!), the miso soup being bland (Fixed as of today), and the service being poor with a moderate customer load (getting better!). But again, the actual sushi is among the best Ive had, and I am consistently amazed at the freshness of their fish compared to the other sushi joints around town. This is an incredible business that deserves more patronage. Definitely check this place out if you want quality sushi and sashimi. Their all-you-can-eat deal sounded a little low-quality at first, but I quickly began to feel guilty at the amount I got for 21 dollars.

Comment: Unbelievable experience. Friendly warm and inviting. The food was amazing. They have an all you can eat sushi special. Usually when you see that it is low quality sushi. Not the case. I loved the look of the place and the cleanliness and most importantly how the chef was so focused that I figured Id try all you can eat. Absolutely amazing. Such a higher quality and freshness than even places where I spend twice as much. Honestly I dont ever write reviews but everyone needs to know about this place.
