Comment: Came here in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday and the staff was so attentive and kind. We ordered the soft shell crab, shumai, unagidon, and sashimi lunch. All of it came out in a timely manner and everything was excellent. The sashimi and particular was so fresh and flavorful. Will definitely recommend and return.

Comment: Kaji has fantastic lunch specials! They have a variety of lunch special options at a very fair price. My favorite is the 2 sushi rolls ($11) and 3 sushi rolls ($14) which both come with soup and salad. Personally, I like to swap out the soup with an additional salad (the dressing is so good!) for a $1 up charge. I have tried the philly, boston, chicken tempura, shrimp tempura, and advocado salmon rolls all of which are excellent. Additionally, their alcohol is very fairly priced. Most cocktails are pretty large and strong for only $10. There is a good wine selection ranging $9-$12 per glass. I have been here multiple times with different people and everyone is always very happy with their lunch. I am 100% going back!

Comment: I’ve been going here for the past year or two and I will recommend it to everyone! They have the best sushi, and the take out is super fast if you do not want to eat in the restaurant. Their sashimi is amazing I would especially recommend the salmon if you’re going to try it!

Comment: This was a very nice place for Japanese food. I got the chicken hibachi (comes with a side of soup & salad), california roll and shrimp tempura roll. Side note: everyone at the table got the same thing except for the kids. It was fairly empty when I visited, which was a Sunday evening. I was surprised to see it no too full since it was dinner time. Overall the staff was nice, place was spacious, and the food was good

Service is good, staff always friendly, and the fish tastes fresh every time. They have cute outdoor seating in the back and not too pricey. Comment: Compared to other sushi lunch specials (Samurai Sushi, Sakaya Japanese, Tinbu Asian) Ive been getting, this was impressive. Rolls were thicker than any other Ive had. Big chunks of avocado. Soy sauce container was placed in a ziploc, napkins/spoon/mint in another ziploc. Even the disposable chopsticks are better quality than the others. To top it off, its also cheaper than the others. Will definitely be coming back.Do want to note that as is typical, spicy salmon or spicy yellowtail werent spicy. If you want a spicy roll, Samurai Sushi on Hillside Ave is the only place where the spicy tuna/salmon/yellowtail are actually spicy.

Comment: This is my favorite sushi spot in garden city - it is literally so delicious and i am so picky about sushi. The ingredients are super fresh, never fishy smelling or tasting. The sushi rolls are perfectly done ! I hate when sushi comes all dilapidated/huge and not possible to fit into your mouth in one bite - these sushi rolls are all so yummy and bite size. All the other menu items are also delicious ! I love the noodles and fried tofu.
