Comment: I walked in on the evening of Valentines Day and was very satisfied with the taste and service. The ingredients are also very fresh, but the price is a bit expensive. Its still acceptable to eat once in a while. For me, who has a big appetite, it would be about 6-7 minutes full.

Comment: We had a really special night in this intimate spot. I can definitely see this restaurant being a great restaurant to become a regular. Everything is very sourced and high quality. The delicate portions were perfect for us. Service was just enough but not too intrusive. Minimal look on the sushi counter. Very recommended to order a few dishes at a time and just enjoy slowly.

Comment: We made an appointment via email a few weeks prior since we wanted to make sure we could bring our kids (2 years old and 8 month baby) normally omesake doesn’t allowed kids . They were super accommodating and allowed us to sit at the bar ! Waitress was very sweet and friendly. Overall we were impressed by the appetizers course part of the omesake . Majority of the sushi were good. Some were average but I would still recommend this place overall. We will be back next time we visit nyc !

Comment: They call this a hidden gem and they are right! Tucked away in the basement, this isnt your everyday sushi joint. The menu doesnt offer 100 made up rolls to choose from. Only 4. California with real crab, king salmon, bluefin tuna, and veggie, to which you can add avocado and make spicy. The beauty lies in their main offerings. Starting with Japanese oysters, which were divine, then a tri - toro (tuna) jewelbox that has fatty tuna, chutoro (medium fatty tuna), and akami (regular bluefin tuna), with some salmon roe and a quail egg. Man oh man...so good!We had the different tunas as nigiri sushi, a salmon avocado spicy roll, a California roll, more fatty tuna, and a sea snail in the shell. All this with a large bottle of unfiltered sake from the well stocked sake bar. An amazing sushi experience like few others in the US.

Comment: We went for early bird omakase which is $58. It comes with one appetizer and eight piece of Nigiri sushi. Sushi was good but the sushi rice was bit small for me. The portion was not enough for me so I had to order some more roll and nigiri. Food quality is all good but the price is a little bit high. We paid $130 per person.

Comment: We were pleasantly surprised by this Japanese tapas shop in Flushing. To be honest we didnt have too high expectations. We were just seeking for some sushi and it was cold outside.Oh my god we were blown away by the effort the chefs made. Many fresh fish presented in artistic and chic manner. They are definitely going for some degree of fusion tapas bar and we downed a bottle of expensive sake. Not cheap. But definitely we left having had a great time. I guess similar presentation can be much more expensive in Manhattan and some of the non-mainstream chefs efforts have rough edges. But this was definitely a 5 star experience. Well return.

Comment: Had the omakase, and it was great. However, the only complaint i have is that the sushi itself has some creativity, but falls just short of the perfect amount. King salmon and fatty tuna were amazing, and loved all the appetizers and desserts.

Comment: Ive always wanted to try Omakase. Its the type of meal where you leave everything up to the chef. Most restaurants that offer this type of service are situated in Manhattan, but I found a hidden gem right in Flushing to take my wife out to.The restaurant is located underground, when you enter, you have to go downstairs. When we got there, we were the only ones there, but a reservation could be handy, just in case.Between the omakase offerings, there were three tiers. I picked the top tier one, wanting to make most out of the experience. My wife and I also opted in for the sake tasting add on.Slowly, one by one, the chef gave us our order. From appetizer, to sushi, soup, and dessert. The experience of sitting at a sushi bar and witnessing the sushi come to life from start to finish was truly something else.Eating here gets really expensive, so prepare yourself. There is a low tier omakase that they offer, but only if youre there early.

Comment: Its a sushi bar, but they do not understand Japanese language. The menu, OMAKASE would be recommended for the 1st comer. It means todays special course.Early birds course before 6 pm costs you $58, while regular course after 6 pm arrival is $85 above. And premium course goes above $130.Good place for business executives supper or 1st time date. No parking.

Comment: Really good quality sushi and sashimi, but that is what anyone would expect at their price. Service was good as well. Their gimmicky hot sake serve bottle is exactly that gimmicky and for looks only. Didnt work and even at the pace we were drinking, the sake was luke warm at best at the end of the bottle.

Comment: This is where I came to New York to watch SKCT and went to have dinner in the evening. There is a clear difference between inland and coastal sushi restaurants, so I wanted to check them out. I ordered omakase and dessert. The dessert was a bit disappointing, but the omakase was really fresh and delicious. I was very satisfied with the generous amount provided. Of course, it is expensive, but I am confident that it is worth the money.

Comment: This really isn’t a casual sushi restaurant, come here for omakase, which is similar to a tasting menu. Omakase means: I’ll leave it up to you [chef]. I had the sakura omakase ($98 per person) and my wife ordered al carte. There was a yellowfin piece that sent me to another world and had no choice but to order three additional pieces. After a while came the uni-topped otoro...ordered 3 more on top. A truffle mushroom soup was served that was out of this world. Waygu was perfect, phyllo shrimp was very interesting. The included miso soup was delightful and the red bean dessert was an excellent light finish to an amazing meal. Fish was VERY fresh, not sure about that other review here.Service was spectacular and the sushi chef was very friendly. The owner was very cool and told us about each piece of fish and gave us a few piece on the house. I’m looking forward to eating here again.

Comment: I can honestly say that this is the best Japanese food I have ever eaten. Each portion is full of depth of cooking. For me, the price seemed a bit expensive at first. But after eating it, I was really surprised. For such a thing, the price is a great value for money. Every bite subverted my stereotype of Japanese food. I will start to fall in love with Japanese food, really because of their food. The most touching thing is that even the desserts that are usually used for perfunctory are carefully prepared by the masters hands. Every time you take a bite, you can feel: wow! This food is alive! I will definitely come with my friends again👍I really like it, thank you
