Even there are many Japanese place nearby, but my friend still picks KanaHashi to be the place we order for delivery. Fish is good quality and time delivery time is fast.10/26/21 Im glad my friend and I come to KanaHashi. I already tried most of Japanese restaurants in GreenPoint and this place is one of my favorite now. Service and quality of food are great.We start with pork gyoza, Uni and fatty tuna sushi, sashimi entree then hibachi filet Mignon. We didnt get a dessert but were super full. The filet Mignon cooked perfectly and I really like Uni and fatty tuna.I have friend who lives near by so I will invite her to join us if we come to this restaurant again next time.

Comment: If youre in the mood for a quick sushi dinner at affordable prices, then KanaHashi is your place. Started off with the pork gyoza and takoyaki. The gyoza was nicely fried and delicious. The batter and Octopus in the takoyaki was savory with the right amount of chewiness expected from the Octopus. The only reason the food got a 4 star was because of the rolls. I ordered the spicy tuna, California and spider roll. The rolls were good but I expected and anticipated more. The rolls tasted like every other sushi spot and nothing ks wrong with that but just wanting a little more after each bite. I would recommend a try and you be your own judge if in the area. I must say though the service was super amazing and the staff very attentive ans friendly.

The octopus balls are a little bit different from what I usually have, the octopus inside was a little too big for my taste but the flavors were amazing. The sushi was perfect, both the traditional and the signature flavors seemed very fresh and well made. I also had a cocktail which was good and my husband had a beer. The best thing for me, though, was the tuna: best I ever had. Definitely will come back for more! Not the cheapest place for sushi, but worth it!

Comment: They just started Omakase a couple weeks ago and it’s fantastic. Andy the sushi chef (doesn’t work on Tuesdays FYI) started us with a bite of spicy tuna on crispy rice with an avocado on top and that set the stage for what came next. We got:- a 10 piece sashimi and sushi platter which was decent, standard fair—followed by- the black cod, which was incredibly soft and buttery, and paired perfectly with the miso glaze paste. This was a highlight and my only regret is not taking a photo before devouring it to bits. Reminded me of butterfish in Hawaii. Finally, we got- the Omakase. This was the main act of the night. 5 perfectly prepped pieces of perfection, starting (from bottom to top) with tuna topped with crispy onion, salmon topped with tomato and caviar, yellow tail topped with jalapeño and fried anchovies, salmon belly topped with mushroom and green tobiko (by far our favorite), and seared scallop with a smokey sauce.I think the move here is to go for entrees outside of your strike zone, versus the typical go-to rolls. Get the black cod, get the omakase, and go home satisfied.Spreading the good word about this (not so) hidden gem in Greenpoint. Ask for Andy.

Now to the food, my sons not big on sushi so he got the salmon teriyaki combo box and he loved it! I tried it and it was excellent and it comes with a lot of food (rice,soup,salad,California roll). I got regular philly roll, eel cucumber and eel avocado and all of them are amazing! We were also a little adventurous and tried the Godzilla roll which has tuna avocado and cream cheese and its lightly fried and is so freaking good! Were already planning our next trip here, that shows how good it really is. Enjoy!!

I just move to Greenpoint and I absolutely love salmon sushi, and salmon skin salad.Their salmon skin salad —- is absolutely to die for and I am very specific about my salmon skin salads ... and they are balanced and perfectly crisp.As well as the salmon wasabi crisps and salmon tartar. The fish tastes so fresh based on price point . Comment: Ive never been to this spot but I get lunch delivered from here almost once a week! They have the best veg rolls (cucumber and jalapeno, and roasted peanut and avocado!) AND unlike some other sushi spots on Manhattan Ave and Nassau Ave... They dont cross contaminate. Nothing is worse than tasting fish when you havent ordered anything with fish, ugh. Thank you kanahashi! Hopefully Ill stop by the actual spot for dinner sometime!

Pretty affordable sushi with a huge speciality roll selection. Definitely wont get the best quality of fish here, but itll do for a cheap sushi place.

Comment: Lunch box sushi deals are excellent! $14 dollar out the door with tip and you get a huge portion, I live across the street so I will definitely be a frequent visitor here. Im happy they filled the space with something like this and the place was built creatively with craft. The miso soup tasted awesome and the shrimp teriyaki with spicy tuna rolls were prepared very nice. Good portions and complimentary green tea. If your in Greenpoint come check it out, for $10.99 you can’t beat it for the area. 5 stars all day.

Comment: I had given up on getting sushi in Greenpoint. Ive been living here almost 2 years and every time Ive tried a place in Greenpoint Ive been dissapointed. Dissapointed enough actually to give up on getting one of my favorite cuisines locally. Not any more! KanaHashi is the real deal. High quality fresh fish, great rolls and a la carte selecion, amazing presentation, and the place is beautiful. Cant remember exactly what I ordered but every signature roll was fantastic, the fish was fresh and you could really taste each individual ingredient coming through, which is such a relief going off the room temperature mush I previously thought was the best Greenpoint had to offer. On top of all that, prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. If youre feeling sushi, good give this place a go. Really hope the dont leave the neighborhood.

Comment: We were visiting my niece in Brooklyn and she mentioned that a new Japanese restaurant had just opened in her neighborhood. We decided to try it and weren’t disappointed. Everyone had the sushi special except for me and were amazed by the quality and the quantity of the sushi. Everything was very fresh and the presentation was beautiful! I has the Dijon salmon and it was the best salmon I ever had. The asparagus were firm but tender and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The mango miso sauce was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and know that my niece will be a regular.

Comment: Im a true Brooklyner. Ive lived here all my life and ever since the gentrification in Greenpoint i have seen stores and restaurants come and go but this place definitely cannot go. I have been here three times since the grand opening. Their food taste so fresh. The duck is delicious. The sushi super fresh. The fish crispy yet melts in your mouth I will continue to come here until this place disappears. The staff is so welcoming and warning as well

Comment: This location definitely needed a sushi place and this place did not disappoint. So far they waiting for a hard liquor, so if you want to drink then have to call in and make sure they have it. As for pricing, surprisingly lower than I expect.
