Comment: Fresh and delicious sushi but not a good value. The $33 chirashi had a very atypical presentation and looked like sashimi bento with over-vinegared rice. The sashimi smelled and tasted fresh. However, I wish the portion can be bigger.

Comment: There are 3 Sushi restaurants in Plainview including this one. This is the newest one. Now I know 1% of you are sushi freaks and KNOW the real deal. The fish here is very fresh and the staff are beyond nice!!!I ate hamachi kama, fish eggs in every color & Australian Oysters which were delicious but pricey @ $8 each.ENJOY!

Comment: Last night was our 4th time on Kinben sushi, which has now become our new local sushi spot. We usually have to travel 20 minutes for sushi so we are very excited to have a this local spot to go with our 2 young kids who love sushi! The sushi is super fresh and amazing. My 6 year old daughter loves the sushi nori tacos! The waitress heard it was her birthday, and went out of her way to make her tempura fried Oreos and get a a candle. They were amazing. I highly recommend this sushi spot!

Comment: This Sushi place is one of the best! We had beef Yakusoba, spicy grill roll and sashimi deluxe, all of which are super delicious. Sashimi is really fresh too. Customer service is excellent. I’ll definitely come back to this place with family and friends.

Comment: Small casual spot to sit, eat and drink. 20% off online orders is a nice perk although their website did give me some slight issues. Staff was nice and adjusted the pricing for me since I had issues on the site. Overall there is a wide selection of foods and I specifically ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen. The broth was thick and the noodles were firm but the overall flavor and toppings left it feeling a little lacking. Generally, the ramen costs $12. For this price, there are other spots about the same distance from my location that offer more for the buck (toppings, slices of pork) at a cheaper price point. Similarly, there are other Ramen spots that will be slightly more expensive but are well worth it for the amazing silky texture and flavor. If you are looking to get ramen at this location, I recommend ordering online to get it for just under $10 or during lunch special times for under $9 which is then worth the value.

Comment: My favorite sushi place on Long Island. Heikes staff are incredibly nice and accommodating, the sushi is always super fresh and superbly executed. My only complaint is that I dont go to Plainview as frequently as I used to because my game store moved so I have to travel to get there. Visit Heike. Youll be glad you did

Comment: Had the sushi roll lunch here. The rolls are pretty well made, large, with just the right amount of rice. Unfortunately, for $13, the roll selection is somewhat poor, dominated by rolls like Spicy Yellowtail, Spicy Tuna, Spicy White Tuna, and Spicy Salmon, which dont contain actual pieces of fish, but a paste like substance. My friend had a roll that contained pieces of salmon, and the fish did not look very fresh. The Salmon skin roll that I had was pretty good, but thats not raw fish. So if youre coming here for the sushi, youll probably enjoy it more if you stick to the ones without raw fish.Otherwise, the place is clean, the service is quick and polite, theres plenty of parking.
