Comment: Went here for the first time for lunch. Great atmosphere. Wait staff was efficient, professional, and nice. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Enjoyed Gyoza and Crab Rangoon appetizers and Fried Rice dishes. Cocktails were great. Will definitely be returning!

Comment: Ive been to many an Hibachi steak houses and I have to say this is one of the best kept secrets . The prices are reasonable as far as Hibachi restaurants are concerned, the food choices are well numbered, but the portions are extremely generous. Ive never been so full after an Hibachi meal. The chef was excellent and entertaining. He was able to engage the whole table and keep us focused. If i had one minor complaint it would be the fried rice needed more ingredients in them. The rice tasted hibachi style nut maybe needed another egg or two. Otherwise it was a great experience.The atmosphere was very Japanese like. They even had a bridge built over a koi pond which was very cool. All in all Koto was a fantastic experience. Come hungry! Youll leave full and wanting to go back in the near future.

Comment: Delicious food cooked right in front of you! Chef was a lot of fun and very skilled. A little too much oil, but otherwise very good. Portions were very generous.Food allergy warning: They do use butter on the noodles, and then cook the veggies and meat after. If you have dairy allergies, make sure to specify so they can cook yours without butter and not cook your vegetables/meat nearby the buttered noodles.

Comment: Sat at the bar and had Lous as my bartender. He was great! Very friendly, didnt rush me and gave me suggestions on what to get. Food was excellent and came out in good time. If you get to this place sit at the bar and ask for Lous! Spicy seafood soup, salmon carpaccio and a sushi roll no rice.

Comment: This is a great place. I really recommend doing the whole hibachi thing. They are super nice there and the hibachi is awesome. I had the chicken and my wife had the scallops. I have to say, the scallops are well worth it - in both quality and the quantity. Our friends got the filet mignon, which they said was like butter and they loved it. Overall, really awesome and would totally go back!

Comment: We came here on a Saturday evening and had a phenomenal time. We were promptly seated and ordered a bottle of sake and then placed our appetizer and sushi orders. Our love boat for 2 came with salad, which was served promptly after we ordered. My husband, who is typically put off by too much ginger, enjoyed his salad (much to my dismay! I was hoping to double up on their delicious salad dressing). Next came the vegetable tempura we ordered as an appetizer. It was crispy and warm and served immediately after pur salads. Just as we finished it our sushi boat arrived. Not only was it stunning to behold, but as usual all of the sushi was delicious. Due to COVID times we hadnt been able to go out much, and Im overjoyed at the experience we had today. For dessert we tried the peanut butter cake and mochi ice cream. The serving size of the mochi ice cream was very small, but since everything else went so smoothly during our visit I am willing to overlook it. I cant wait to visit again.

It might be a bit overwhelming for younger kids. It definitely gets loud inside when the chefs are cooking, doing their thing. Absolutely a must try. Be warned, it can get expensive fast.

Comment: I love the first impression koto makes. Its so fancy with its subtle waterfall entrance, its koi pond and connected waterfall, and its delightful bridge over the koi pond. And the food is deliciously wonderful as well. Ive only ever had the hibachi here (btw, best hibachi Ive had in the area but also I have only been to a handful of places). They can seat up to 12. I would recommend making a reservation and ordering the salmon, the shrimp, or the steak. The calamari, shrimp, and chicken are also good.

We went for our sons 9th birthday dinner because it was across the street from the hotel we were staying in and I could not be happier we chose this restaurant. From beginning to end they made it a special experience for my son, the meal was definitely all about him and he had the best time! The chef took a lot of extra time and care to make everything birthday themed from the fried rice birthday cake with a lemon candle for him to blow out to the extra special crown he blew up for the birthday boy. The waitress was wonderful and very attentive to our needs and the hostess took a wonderful picture for us in a nice Koto frame to take home which was a cool surprise and I know he will cherish for a long time. 10 out of 10 would recommend, the food was great! My son devoured the entire order of tempura chicken and said they were the best chicken tenders he has ever had! Lol

The cook paid more attention to order details better than the waitress. Reservation was made online, but not needed. Paid $90 2 hibachi meals, 2 apps, 1 Rum, 1 Soda. Not TOO bad but definitely ain’t cheap xD

Comment: Good food, good service. packed Valentines day dinner. hibachi had a long wait but non-hibachi, regular sit down service had little to no wait. the fried chicken wings were very good but not Korean chicken wings. the new p Prince roll (Chilean sea bass, scallops and spicy mayo) sushi was very tasty. their aged tofu is breaded and fried. yummy-yummy sauce is served with the wings. their miso soup and hot tea was very good. area is very safe and parking lot has good lighting, good flow. parking is free. bathroom was clean. my meal came out backwards - appetizers came out last. for the hard core foodies: this restaurant is a Chinese Japanese.

Obviously this is all based on one visit but I wouldnt recommend it for entertainment, its more for a quiet dinner. This place has great potential. Comment: Took our 16 year old son here for Easter dinner. We chose Hibachi style instead of regular sit down and they bring food to your table. The food was excellent, everything was cooked amazingly! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the cook made it awkward a few times. They always go around the table and shoot the alcohol in peoples mouths. I declined but after him pushing I gave in. All 3 times he got to me, he would aim to shoot it at my chest initially instead of my mouth. It was awkward the 1st time but to do it 2 more times, get it on my shirt and chest each time and biggest part was that my son was with us! Even my husband said it was not appropriate. Other than that, everything was great and I would have given 5 stars if not for that incident.

Comment: I eat here quite often because it’s close to my job! I did visit a few years ago before my taste buds matured and I could really enjoy the taste of sushi. The Hibachi is fun, you can bring your family to enjoy the show and food. Be sure to mention any allergies before hand to prevent eating anything you’re allergic to as it all get mixed together. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the lamb chops (which were cooked to perfection)and a Manhattan roll. I didn’t think I would like eel but the Manhattan Roll is the perfect blend of eel, spicy tuna and salmon.

Comment: My first time here was just this last week. My fiance was suggested to check out this place since we absolutely love sushi. I gave them four stars and I will explain why. First they were extremely busy and we understand that. We were happen when our waiter forgot us and another staff member came to take our order. I thought we were going to get up and walk out. What was frustrating was seeing our waiter help the table next to us but rarely said a word to us. It would have been nice to know he wouldnt be our waiter anymore. However, we understand it was crowded busy so that is NOT the reason for the four stars. Just know not to come on a Friday or Saturday night between 5pm-8pm unless you have a reservation. Obviously it is like that anywhere in the Albany area. The miso soup was kind of bland, I would suggest it needed more salt or flavor. The shrimp shumai was delicious but was not warm when it came to the table. It had to be sitting wherever it was for awhile so that was a bummer. Every time we go anywhere the Boston rolls have mayo and theres do not. It didnt have enough flavor but when we go back we would ask for it in it.The four stars were for the lack of flavor in the miso soup, the cold shrimp shumai and the price of the green salad. I would recommend buying the Mango Tango & sweet potato roll with eel sauce on top. We will be back but it will never be a Friday or Saturday evening as the sound was way too loud and overwhelming but we will be back!
