Comment: Went for some sushi and hibachi. It started off with the server not knowing the menu and how to get his manager to clarify couple items. I ordered Philadelphia roll and yellowtail. It tasted pretty good. Then went on to have hibachi with steak shrimp and chicken. The chef was no fond, and kept on, mumbling and singing to himself, as he was cooking the food like he was timing when the food is cooked. Overall, it was OK but I’m not sure if I’ll be back. The hibachi tasted great, but not enough veggies, mainly rice.

One of my friend has an allergy and it was specially mentioned to the server, however, the chef missed it. The food was excellent, and our hibachi grill chef did an amazing job entertaining us throughout the meal. I highly recommend this place for large gatherings as they can accommodate many people while still delivering fantastic entertainment and a delicious meal. A must-visit spot!

I have a weakness for the Hibachi experience but the volcano was sub par😔. The food was good though and my Hibachi chef tried to give the full experience. Comment: One of the few places in the Syracuse area that sell rock shrimp. I ordered online via their website, and the order was ready within 15 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. The shrimp were both plentiful and tasty, frankly I was a little bit surprised at how large the appetizer was. Very happy, and Ive dined there before. I will dine there again.

Your food is cooked freshly in front of you, while you sit back and enjoy the Chef dazzled you with his skills. Kids enjoyed their kids cocktails. We finished with fried ice cream. Ladies room was clean. There was a changing table, but it was a little dusty. I spent a little time cleaning it up before changing my kid. The changing table was outside of the restrooms. So the kid didnt really have much privacy if people happened to be waiting there.

Comment: I have always wanted to love Ramen. I could never become accustomed to the fish broth taste, until I met this Delicious MISO RAMEN! This is the best ramen I have ever had! Its such a beautiful unity of sweet and spicy! The pork belly was SO tender and utterly delicious! I could still taste the fish but it was much more palatable. I highly recommend that you give this a try! Also, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the service was quick.

I saw a sushi place in a mall food court and wrote it off, but a mall employee said it was good, and no other sushi place in Syracuse had indoor seating, so I gave it a try. I have eaten a lot of sushi in my life, and this place is among the best that I’ve had. Now, I’m not going to Jiro’s place and spending $300 at a time. I spent about $30, and it was the best $30 I’ve spent on sushi in a long time, maybe ever. Thanks to Ben, the manager. I think. Maybe he was the bartender. But he carried himself like the manager. Great spot.

The sushi is kind of on the small side for normal pricing, so happy hour/snack hour is a very welcome and appreciated deal. Eris has been my server these past several visits.. super sweet, attentive, and composed, no matter how busy the restaurant is.I have had an actual meal here a few times, as well, usually the Veggie Yaki Udon, which is usually fantastic, except the last time which was a bit too light on the sauce.. still delicious, though!Years ago, I believe my first time at koto, I was given Seafood instead of Veggie. I put up no real fuss, just asked for a replacement (octopus is not my thing,) and my meal was totally comped. I’ve been going ever since, and have had nothing but good food and great service.

I have dietary restrictions also, that they can accomodate. Great food, service, and cost. Communication from English speaking staff to the non-English speaking cooks is key. Still, I recommend Koto.

Comment: My daughter brought me out to this steakhouse and a nice outing and I really enjoyed myself the chef was funny and he was excellent very nice personality, the food was excellent but too bad I cant say the same about the waitress she was so so well her personality could be a little bit higher big not very much smiles but it seems like she be trying but she didnt want too..A professional hospitality and customer service goes a long way!

Comment: It is always hard to make everyone happy, especially during the holiday shopping season. So what I try to focus on is did I get a good meal? If I wanted a steak type meal I would go to some fine dining. With that said, you can always get a consistent same taste at Koto. I come to Destiny center often and try many of the foods. I can say that my last meal here was good and the food came out quick, which is what I want. Their takeout service is a great feature. Thanks.

Comment: This is a pretty standard hibachi grill restaurant, but everything was delicious. Alaska Roll and Sweet Potato roll were both very good, as was the hibachi. Our waitress did a fine job letting us know exactly what menu items contained dairy for a special dietary need. No complaints.

Comment: Sushi is good, hibachi is good but portions, especially of fried rice, are a bit small for this restaurant type. Taste-wise, the hibachi filet mignon and fried rice I ate were very good, about the level I would expect from a typical hibachi joint. Servers are usually friendly, but both sushi and hibachi can take a long time to be served.

Comment: The Koto is one of my favourite restaurants in the world. I love their food, the atmosphere, the staff, everything feels and tastes the way it should at a really great restaurant. It was where I ate sushi for the first time ever. The only slight downfall is that it can be a tiny bit pricey and you have to have a liking for Japanese food, but if you do and you’re wise with your ordering, it can be the perfect dining experience for any occasion.

Comment: As a restuarant Koto is a great experience with an entertaining show and great food, however my favorite feature of this particular restuarant is the food to go window in the food court! It offers a much cheaper alternative to the sit down restuarant food in a quick convenient manner. The food is great, though not the same as in the restaurant, the most notable difference being that the vegetables served with each meal consist purely of cabbage. I recommend the hibbachi steak with yum yum sauce!

Comment: I love this place great food. Great employees. I love their sushi I come all the way from Binghamton just to eat there. I suggest the King Kong roll, Ichi Roll and the Pink Panther. They all have tempura shrimp in the middle its very tasty.

Comment: The food is always good here, and the service is too. Prices are slightly higher as it is located in the mall, and sushi is always more expensive than traditional food, but the prices are reasonable for what is being offered. Koto offers some of the best sushi in the North Syracuse area. I was pleasantly surprised with the serving size of the belly tuna offered here as is was almost the size of a six piece roll. Would highly recommend.
