Comment: Just wow!One of the best Japanese places we have ever been to. I don’t even know where to start. The oysters for starter were amazing! Sushi, sashimi, the salads .. everything super tasty! The staff was super friendly and we had a lot of green tea refills. The perfect experience was rounded up with fried icecream.We enjoyed our family evening and will definitely come back! 100% recommendation 🍱

Comment: Our favorite sushi restaurant. Its our neighborhood go to even though we drive 20 mins and there are lots of local sushi restaurants nearer to us. We come for the fried oysters as a starter. Always the fried oysters! We love them so much that we each get our own order. Crispy rice with tuna is excellent! All their apps are very good and their sushi and sashimi is delicious. Never had anything that we didnt like. Will be back very soon!

I am not a fan of oysters...I can take them or leave them in general. Ever since trying the oysters here...I have literal dreams about them. Comment: This moved into my Top 10 Favorite Dinners I’ve ever had in my life. As soon as my boyfriend and I walked in we were greeted with a welcoming smile. It wasn’t too busy but we also arrived about 30 mins after they open on Sundays. We quickly learned that about an hour into opening, the restaurant started to fill up. This is not an exaggeration, it is the BEST SUSHI I’ve ever had. The sashimi melted in your mouth. Rock shrimp for an app was amazing. I tried a slice of raw octopus, which I was apprehensive about and it wasn’t that bad. The eel was TO DIE FOR. Lychee martini HITS. We ordered the “Caterpillar Remix” roll which was eel, shrimp, tuna, tempura flakes, topped w/ avocado, tobiko, spicy mayo & our sweet sauce concoction *chefs kiss*Tempura Cheesecake was very good, loved the contrast of warmth from the batter and cold from the cheesecake. My boyfriend loves Green Tea ice cream so he ordered the Fried Green Tea which he enjoyed. I was elated the entire time we were eating. It was my first time there and I’m dying to go back. The service was amazing as well, our server was super nice and made suggestions during dinner and for when we return. Definitely a must when you’re in Babylon Village and looking for great food & service.

Comment: This is by far my favorite sushi place Ive been to. I usually get kotobuki for a special occasion because when I get food there I like to go big. The last few times Ive had it Ive gotten delivery which is a little pricey, but its well worth the money. I usually get the sushi and sashimi platter (the one pictured is the platter for 2). The only downside of getting it delivered is that that dont include their soup and salad or their amazing friend oysters :(When I have gone in person the staff is always incredibly nice and accomodating. Ive gone with my slightly picky parents and they usually leave very satisfied because they love the ramen they serve there.

Comment: Back again here for Valentines weekend on a Saturday. Place was packed, food was still as top notch as I always remember it (as described below). This time the wasabi was full strength and perfect. We ordered the same special for two and loved it! Still give this Kotobuki location an excellent rating!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This Babylon location is a favorite place of mine going back many years, although I havent been here in quite a while because I dont live nearby. We ordered the Sushi Sashimi Special Combo for 2, plus a Fire Island Roll and an Edamame appetizer. The waitress warned us that the special would be more than enough food for two without the extra roll and app, but we knew we were going to take some food home. The special combo also comes with 2 Salads and 2 Miso Soups.Everything was exceptionally good just like I remembered. I always relished the first bite where the food just seems to melt in your mouth with perfection. Both me and my friend had the same reaction, with an audible sound of delight.. ohmmm!! We also ordered a bottle of sake as well. And I love that they serve it with the sliced cucumber to add to your glass, very refreshing touch!My only criticism this time is that the miso soup was a bit too salty, but still very delicious. Both me and my friend also noticed that the wasabi wasnt as strong as were used to from other places. I dont remember if it was this weaker version of wasabi the last time I was there. Wasabi is the one heat that I really enjoy, so I just kept adding more and more to my soy sauce wondering why I wasnt feeling it!... LOL.Overall my friend and I both give this place an excellent rating. And we definitely will be back again sometime, hopefully soon!! Neither one of us live in the Babylon area, so its a special trip but always well worth it!!

Got some rock shrimp, chilean sea bass, and 4 different chef special rolls. They were all delicious but you absolutely have to make sure you get the caterpillar remix roll. You will thank me. Cant wait to go back. Love me some good sushi!

Comment: High end Japanese cuisine. No high chairs, so not for young kids. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. On the expensive side so bring your credit cards. Staff is nice. Food is good. Other locations in Hauppauge and Roslyn. We will most likely be going back.

Comment: Had a really great time at Kotobuki. The Shrimp Go! Go! App is outstanding, highly recommend. All of the sushi was delicious. The Banzais are great. If I had one criticism it would be give me another Gyoza. The Gyoza app which is, I believe, 7 bucks comes with five Gyoza, give me at least six. I know its silly and they were delicious, I just wanted more.

The food is just amazing, the restaurant is small and quaint. Absolutely perfect for a quick delicious lunch or a satisfying dinner! Comment: Our favorite Japanese restaurant. The dining area is small and intimate and the menu is extensive and can be checked online before you arrive. We have never had a bad meal here. Service is courteous and attentive and prices are reasonable. We usually go to the Babylon restaurant but there are Kotobuki restaurants in Hauppauge, Roslyn and Manhattan too. Be forewarned that this place is popular. It opens at 5:00 PM for dinner and fills up quickly.
