The food was well cooked and mostly enjoyable, could probably have used more sauce, spices, etc.The service was standard, not over the top nor bad.The price of the food feels overpriced, though, not to mention they stuck an 18% service charge on to my bill, and Im pretty sure the menu doesnt mention that, so it becomes a surprise charge, which is kind of slimey.

We were just starting to eat, and within 5 mins, the servers were bringing us take-out containers. They really need to stop doing this to patrons. I’m addition there was a suggested tip. We did ask why there was a service fee and we were told it was a tip. If I am already paying a service fee why should I pay a tip as well? Any extra fees should be transparent and not hidden in the fine print of a bill.

The quality n price is worth every penny. The rice used for sushi was warm and that makes them even better. Order some hot tea to enjoy each mouthful. There is always plenty of food. For those with allergies they will cook it in the back and bring it out to you. For the vegans out there they have tofu and veggie only options. Comment: I made a reservation, but I dont know why because we waited 50 minutes to be seated. Also, they wouldnt give a pager because our whole party wasnt there and even though they were 2 minutes away I had to wait in line again and more people went in front of us. The food and the show is amazing, but I felt they tried to trick us on the bill. We asked to split between 2 cards and they put the bill and the $45 included gratuity on my bill and just the blank $150 credit card slip in my brothers. He had already included a $30 tip on his bill as he didnt know I was already charged the 18% gratuity for the whole bill. Seemed shady...

Comment: Always a great time. Food is absolutely delicious. Margaritas are awesome. There can be a short wait on Friday or Saturday nights and they wont sit you until your entire party had arrived, so be aware of that.

Comment: This is a jewel. Pleasant atmosphere, courteous wait staff. The food was delicious, well presented and served without a lengthy wait. W were allowed to relax as we ate and all drinks were refilled regularly. Definitely will be a repeat customer.

Comment: I am gluten-free and it can be difficult to find a place to eat when travelling. They were fantastic here. They normally cook the hibachi meal for GF in the back to avoid contamination but I am not sensitive enough to require that. So they cooked it on the grill, keeping everything separate and using Tamari as flavouring. It was fantastic, more food than I could ever eat and a great price. I would definitely go back when in town again.

Comment: We had a 12 shot drink for my gf’s birthday. It was expensive ($24) but twelve shots might set you back a few dollars so it’s well worth it.Our waiter Harry spoke mostly broken English, but was hilarious. He put on a show and my girlfriend and I were more than entertained.Filet mignon and chicken were amazing and perfectly cooked. I caught 4/5 items the chef throws in my mouth and my girlfriend was 1/2My girlfriends birthday was that day so we got free fried ice cream,I clearly told them I would have a birthday this year, but they insisted i have a free one too. A+ say no more 🙏🏻☺️

Comment: This was an amazing place!!! They cook the food in front of you and a little entertainment at the same time. It is loud in there. if you dont like it loud, it wont he good for you. But it is a great place for some hibachi and sushi. I had the filet and chicken and it was great!!!

Comment: My kids love this place. Its fun, so Ive seen my picky eater eat/try things I dont think he would have at other places. Hibachi proteins and rice better than any of the a la carte things weve tried (like dumplings, sushi, etc.)

Comment: I seriously LOVE this place. The food is so good and the atmosphere is really neat. I love the hibachi and I enjoy taking my kids as well. Its just a really fun time for the whole family and the people are fun. However, I know some people get frustrated on a Friday or Saturday night when theyre super busy, I honestly opt to go any other night to avoid this, and my experiences have always been fantastic.

Comment: The food is worth the price. Highly recommend going to eat and having it made in front of you at the hibachi table. Its a great experience. Great for happy hour as well. Any reasonable size parties should be booked in advance.

Comment: My second time to Kyoto, first time on the hibachi side. What a fun experience! Youre given a wide variety of options. The servers and the chefs always double check your order which I found very professional and punctual. The chef we had was friendly and very funny!! You can tell he likes engaging with his audience! One thing that can be a hit or miss with Hibachi is after the cooking is done, some people feel rushed to eat. My friend and I were at the table for over 30 minutes eating and we did not feel rushed at all. Great atmosphere, great food, and good company! You cant go wrong eating here!!

Comment: I had my 30th Birthday dinner here with my mom and my husband. I love hibachi so much, and the little show they put on while making your meal is always a favorite. The food was great, and my drink was delicious! You may have to wait a few minutes or so to fill your table up a bit if you dont have that many people in your party. They will typically seat you with another family, or two.

Comment: Never a bad time at this restaurant. This is the first time where we sat at the booths instead of at the hibichi, but the service was still great. if you enjoy to watch your food cooked then this is a fun place to go. The cooks interact with the customers and everyone is friendly.

Comment: This was my first time having hibachi and I was not disappointed. I had the chicken with noodles and while everything tasted great, I especially loved the noodles. With the right amount of firmness and slightly charred from cooking it was excellent. They are my go to next time Im in town.

Comment: This was a fun experience, I have never been to a Hibachi before. Our waitress was absolutely delightful, and the chef very entertaining and engaging. They were accommodating of some special needs requests in our party. My only complaint was that the chicken was so overcooked, it was the texture and consistency of rubber. Despite that, I would return and try a different menu item less prone to overcooking.

Comment: I dropped here yesterday as I was in mood for Japanese food. We ordered California roll and shrimp teriyaki. The food was just amazing. We loved the complimentary soup which comes with the dinner meal and the shrimps were just yum. The reason for 4 rating is the service was not great. We asked for side of sauce which took forever to come. Our water was never refilled. We were not asked for dessert either. Compliments to chef!

Comment: The food and service here are consistently good. The prices are a little high, but typical for a restaurant like this. This is a favorite restaurant for my wife and I. The sushi is always super fresh and the hibachi is good also. Not typically busy during the weekdays, good place for a nice dinner or a business lunch. Typical meal for 2 is around $80.00 with a few alcoholic drinks.

Comment: A little nervous booking a party of 10 to celebrate a childs birthday after reading some reviews of disinterested chefs. However our experience was great! The chef was very personable, fun and entertaining. Food was excellent and all other staff were great. The two other chefs cooking at tables around us also seemed to be engaging. Will be going back!

Comment: Just what you would expect from an average Japanese restaurant. Beef teriyaki with a strong soy sauce, sushi thats slightly above average. Nothing gonna wow you, but still has decent flavor. Ok for a quick bite.
