Comment: Food here is spectacular. It seems a bit expensive but that may be the Ridgefield tax. It is worth it though, sushi is the best Ive had in all of CT. Its extremely fresh, along with the wasabi and ginger. Chinese dishes have great flavor and the noodles are cooked perfectly. Go here, you will not be disappointed.

Comment: I have been ordering Sushi and other assorted, delicious and beautiful plates from Mannen for years. The quality of food is spectacular, the Sushi is both aesthetically beautiful as it is delicious. The staff is very friendly and do their best to make sure their customers are happy. I have never been disappointed going there or ordering from them and they are always a place I recommend others to go.(This is my personal story below to expand on their great customer service.)I never utilized their free delivery and always opted to use DoorDash until I realized how much DoorDash takes away from the restaurant (The restaurant pays the dashers to have them deliver). I recently had a rogue DoorDash driver take off with my order. While the problem was rectified, I will never use DoorDash again. I strongly recommend the same to others, because It can happen to anyone. I will spare the details of how the order was not just for me, but my family as well and that was not a happy night for any of us.We ended up getting a hold of Mannen to see if they had seen the driver pick up my order/number, which he did. When we explained what had happened they were so apologetic and understanding. They then offered to make up the whole meal again for us --minutes before closing! Of course we refused politely explaining that no one else should have to take a loss tonight, however, If that is not great customer service I dont know what is! 5/5 stars.

Comment: We’ve been to so many Japanese restaurants between CT and Fla. None even come close to the quality and great taste of Mannen. Food is consistently delicious, fresh, flavorful and just awesome. Waitstaff is super nice. We love Mannen and look forward to eating there as soon as we come back to CT every summer and Christmas season. Don’t miss this place. It’s simply the best! Every time!

With no expectations, from the first second I walked in the door to the last last second saying goodbye the service was stellar and excellent. The food couldnt be any better in my opinion. I order some sushi that I normally order at my local sushi restaurant and let me tell you I will not be going back there anytime soon. The sushi was made some different type of way and I instantly fell in love with the new way they made it. If you are in the area and looking for a place that has it all with excellent service and dinning I definitely recommend.

Comment: This place is a great mixed bag. Solid menu, good service, good spirit -- all fine -- the one thing I found a bit different here is the actual chef-stations for the Hibachi cooks. There is no physical room for two chefs to cook simultaneously in the same physical space. Its as though they expect the chefs to ride piggy-back to serve multiple stations at the same time. Same goes for seating at the Hibachi Tables -- Im over 6ft tall, and the legroom is less than an economy airline seat. Zero legroom.Super uncomfortable. The quality of the food is totally fine, the service is good, the ambiance is no muss no fuss. Id definitely go again, Im just bumming for the chefs who are completely compromised in their personal space when trying to create an enjoyable experience. You can tell theyre uncomfortable, and so too is my legroom under the tables. The whole thing tastes great, but the Hibachi experience needs a renovation to allow more personal space to chefs and patrons.

My family continues to try sushi restaurants, but All roads lead back to Mannen. The sushi is fresh, then service is very good, the presentation is nice. They are flexible and will make you something special. They have tons of great special combo rolls. The Chinese food is EXCELLENT and the Hibachi is delicious and so much fun, they make it a great family experience!!! The service is VERY good. This is our GOTO spot for great food....

Comment: We order pickup or delivery from Mannen, so I cant comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The quality of the delivery food has always been for the most part ok, but the calamari and tempura dishes would usually come somewhat soggy- so we always have to pop them in the oven to crisp up again. Also, they always overcooked the salmon, so we just stopped ordering it. The sushi has never disappointed us, though, and we are very picky about our sushi. The delivery times are generally good, running about 30-45 min, and they package everything well. The usually only give us one set of chopsticks, which is annoying because we are obviously ordering for at least two people. We will keep ordering from them, because it is convenient and decent Japanese food that can be delivered.
