Our only issue which I detracted one star for is they never have dessert.:( Fried green tea or red bean ice cream would be such a perfect ending to the great sushi dinner at Masago. Hopefully they will start serving it soon.

Comment: This place has good food and the inside is nice. I ordered an avocado salad many times from here and I notice that the pieces of lettuce are huge! I don’t think they cut the lettuce whatsoever. I felt like a slob eating it because the lettuce was so big I couldn’t fit it into my mouth. Also a few times the avocado has been rotten in my rolls and salads. Also there is two waitresses I believe. They are friendly but when it’s busy there is only two of them so you are kept waiting for a while. As you are talking to them they rush away mid sentence because there are so many people they have to get to!

I always find it strange when a place has a printed menu with prices, and then lists a permanent discount on those prices to make it seem like you’re getting a deal, when in actuality they should just have the menu printed with the actual prices and not inflated prices that then get discounted. Besides that very small technicality, we had a great time. The food was fresh and delicious—just they way you want sushi to be:) The udon soup and chicken katsu were also very good. The katsu was enough to share or take leftovers home for lunch the next day. The place got a little busy at 7pm, but the food came out pretty quick.

That being said nearly every time I call for a delivery the experience is akin to being 10 years old and having to call my annoyed mom while shes at work to ask her if she can get McDonalds on her way home and she reluctantly agrees; angrily answers the phone as if Im waisting her time (doesnt even mention the name of the restaurant just says hello angrily), what do you want and what else in a frustrated tone. Im always half expecting the woman on the phone to reprimand me in the most stereotypical, frustrated, mom voice/tone by saying No Im not getting you thats all you ever eat or No thats it you wont be able to eat all that food. Even the way she says thank you at the end reminds me of when my mom was angry at me but still I love you even though shes thinking about killing me or putting me up for adoption. Im always shocked by just how bad of an attitude this woman has, at least my mom could fake being courteous like picking up a phone call while she is in the middle of yelling at my sister and I and going from Youre both grounded! to HI!!! How are you? So happy that you called! in a Stepford Wives type tone. Besides this one womans unprofessional and just generally off-putting attitude Masago is great.

Comment: This place is awesome and good prices sushi. One thing inspired me to write a review: A stupid customer on the phone at 9pm on Valentines day complaining that something they got wasnt crispy enough. Youre a joke and probably eating your food single on Valentines day and I never heard such a stupid complaint. The food here is great and a great price considering. Ive gotten sushi from here for two years now and not once can I complain. I feel someone can have a bad review or complaint here or there but if you have delivery complaints then why not get up and pick it up yourself or work in delivery service for a week. Its not like anyone can run a business themselves but this spot deserves good praise and today on Valentines day its packed and I ordered in advance like a smart person. 5 stars well deserved and the angry person complaining about stupid minor things should try not eating for a day so they can appreciate food in general.

Comment: The food is delicious. The dinner box is a great pick. Food is half off after a certain time. Waiter took forever to come take the order and get us the bill. Besides that the food didnt take long to come out and everything was delicious.

Comment: Its the first place I ate at in Great Neck, and its still my favorite. The sushi is great, and I specifically like their tum yum soup. Its 50% off all items on the sushi bar and 30% off entrees and soups and things if you pay with cash! A little sketchy, but the decor is very nice (recently redone) and the building is really unique. Delivery is also free, which is great because I cant leave very often. VERY CONVIENENT!
