Comment: Best Hibachi on the island! Food is so delicious and made very fast when ordering take out. I also must say the portion sizes are huge compared to some other similar restaurants. They seriously spoil you with the amount of chicken and steak they cram into these take out containers. This is the reason i prefer them to Tonys Sushi.

Comment: Always have a good meal when I come here. The hibachi steak and scallop combo is my favorite. The soup is good as is the salad. Do yourself a favor and get a roll before your meal. The service is good and the servers are always pleasant. Would strongly recommend. Overall great experience.

Comment: Mikado is one of the best if not the best hibachi and sushi in Eastern Suffolk if not all of Suffolk. Ive searched for a place that has excellent sushi chefs with always fresh fish. The sushi chefs are one of the main reasons I always go back. They are legit that good. The hibachi chefs are a mixed bag. Weve had standard ones and ones that werent that great, but as of recent their hibachi chef is at the top of the game. The mans fingers are like a family of eastern block gymnasts/ trapeez artists. High flying maneuvers with his spatula and fork, eggs tossed in the air with the greatest of ease. Really the whole family enjoys it so much, and the kids arent shy about telling us when they dont enjoy the show. Again this is the premier destination if youre looking for a show and amazing food.

Comment: We went here for my husbands birthday. We were seated at the hibachi in a small back private room. The hibachi entertainment was okay. Have been to shows where they were more entertaining and engaging but my son was scared of the fire so that could be the reason why they eased off of it. The food was really really delicious. I dont usually enjoy this style of cooking. We went here because my husband does. But I actually really enjoyed this.

Comment: Its been a while since I had teppanyaki dinner at the restaurant. Last time I went was at Benihana in the San Francisco bay area. Luckily Mikado is just around the corner and we decided to check it out.Our private room was at the back of the restaurant and the service was great. After 15 minutes, the chef came in and double-checked our orders.Hibachi shows some knife skills and pan skills as usual. After the salad and soup, came the fried rice, which was amazing. As for the shrimp and scallops, they were tender and juicy.All in all, we had a great time, the service was good, and it wasnt too expensive. Highly recommended.

The amount of food I received was amazing, and left absolutely no room in my stomach, and I payed the bill completely satisfied. Not the friendliest bunch, but they do their job well. The man on the phone is very direct and businesslike, but not rude in my opinion. He has never messed up an order, so that is to his credit. Prices are fair and right in line with other places, but the quality is where this place shines. Cali rolls are always fresh. My kids love the chicken tempura rolls too. Eat here, and enjoy. A+++

Was great to go at this time walked right in, still had one of the hibachi chefs he was average.Everything was great except pass on the spring rolls we both didnt like them. Ordered variety of items & had some to take home.I didnt think I would like the Seafood soup but surprised me it was different then others & pretty good.You can get shrimp tempore as appetizer excellent melt in mouth.He had California roll and eel w avocado rolls/sushi was good he said.Cheese wontons were awesome (2nd to only 1 other place which is a buffet) note: take home, put in toaster to be crunchy very good!Had dishes with chicken, shrimp, scallops. All good the scallops best melt in mouth.Unsweetened icetea. Place is really pretty.

Comment: I LOVE this place. All the staff are very nice and efficient. My absolute favorite dish is The Rock Shrimp Tempura. Honestly its the best I have ever had! I have tried it at several places, and Mikado wins hands down. If you havent tried it you are missing out! One of the best places on Long Island. Keep up the good work!

Our wiatress was very nice, but could barely speak any English. Little bit of a language barrier, but overall a very nice experience. My parents and I were happy with everything, and, we were the only ones there at 5:30 pm. The place was full by 7pm on a Wednesday night. They even gave my dad a $20.00 off card because he ordered bourbon on the rocks with a sprite, and only got a sprite. The waitress had no idea what he was asking for. She didnt realize that there is no hard alcohol. Beer and wine only. Standard beverages as well. Great food and portions though. I give it 4 stars.

One of my favorite sushi rolls to order is their Santa Claus House Roll - I think it might be the best sushi roll I have ever had. We also order their hibachi filet and its always cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!
