Comment: Overall this place is amazing food is great and staff is friendly. My only gripe (insert first world problems) is the price. 2 people sharing 3 common sushi rolls and a dinner of fried rice and shrimp for $100 is expensive and seems a little high. That being said I dont know the current cost of ingredients and Im definitely going back. The food is always tasty and a welcome treat just cant eat here all the time without breaking the bank. But a recommended place to go for sure.

Comment: Can never go wrong with Mitsuba! Hubby and I got take out for everyone yesterday, I was craving Katsudon and they are the only place I know that makes it. We sat at the bar and ordered that way we could enjoy a drink while we waited. I got the Japanese old fashion and it was amazing. I watched the bartender Ivy (I think that was her name) make it and the care and percussion she used made for a perfect drink. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. We ordered several sushi rolls, Katsudon, and chicken udon soup. Everything came out rather quickly and very nicely packaged. I didnt get any pictures of the food before we ate most of it. We couldnt wait the food smelled and looked great. Everything was so tasty and fresh as usual. We will continue to come back especially if Ivy is there to make my drink.

I had to take some to go because they gave so much. Comment: My husband and I ate here on Mothers Day before catching a movie across the parking lot at Movie Tavern. The food was great. When we arrived there was a door propped open to clear out some smoke. We could feel a cool draft as it was windy and chilly that day. My husband got the attention of the hostess and asked that either we be moved to another table or the door be closed. She cheerfully shut the door, saying she was also feeling cold. We had made a reservation, but the restaurant was not packed with people in the early afternoon.

Comment: You can tell theyre struggling with having enough staff. Staff that is working, is busting their butt though! I was a little annoyed BUT because I know theyre looking for help I tried to not hold it to them. For instance, I had to ask for silverware, chop sticks, napkins etc. These are things I feel like we as customers shouldnt have to ask for. Especially when your food is sitting in front of you with nothing to eat with lol. But, that being said it was a good place with a variety menu

The sheer quality of the fresh ingredients, the presentation, and the artistry of the cook staff delights me every time we pay a visit. My husband and I have come here a number of times now and every time the sushi specialty rolls have been delicious. We got chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki dinners. While waiting for our entrees we had some commentary hot tea and a complementary appetizer (was some tempura seaweed rice thing with a nice sauce. Was delicious. The dinner was pleantyful and tasty. We ordered a desert to share that was also good. The check came with an orange that was cut to eat with toothpics(a cute touch). Comment: Very good food although we ran into trouble when we ordered through the app. The meal we selected did not prompt us to select a soup/salad or the type of protein on the meal (meat, seafood, tofu) so when I arrived for my scheduled pick-up time, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. I shared my concerns with the hostess and she apologized and said they were supposed to call me to get that information but got busy and forgot. They ended up giving us a coupon for our next visit to try to make it right. Despite the issues, I truly appreciated their professionalism and the great sushi.

Comment: Best sushi spot I have ever been to! Even compared to expensive spots in Manhattan. The sushi was amazing, our waiter was so nice you could tell she was smiling even with the mask. Although it’s a very simple appetizer, even the Edamame had the perfect ratio of salt. Can’t wait to go back.Final thought: Lady in the “unacceptable table manners” review seems like she doesn’t care her waiter is working their dumplings off while wearing a mask during an epidemic.

Comment: Excellent Japanese food, excellent bento boxes, they do have fresh sushi as well as a hibachi option. Unlike the other mitsuba location, this is an elegant sit-down type restaurant and they do not offer ramen noodles here. Highly recommended. I also highly recommend the Mets Uber location that does ramen noodles, but that is a totally different dining experience.

Restaurant also offered a hibachi option. Got seated quickly for the kitchen service option. 3 stars for food. Server Jessica made this a 4 star. Super friendly and attentive. Checked in several times. Food was average. Needed more depth in flavors. Poke bowl special could have had addl ingredients to add more umami. Best dish was the salmon teriyaki. Chicken katsu really crispy but a tad dry. Will come back to try the hibachi.

Comment: I recommend Mitsuba if you like a sushi / hibachi style restaurant.I would travel 10 to 15 miles out of my to visit the restaurant and I would go again if with a group that wanted to go.Mitsuba is fairly new being located in township 5. Clean and well designed although I did notice that the chairs could use some attention as a fyi for the manager if reading this.I was in a party of 7 adults and 2 children that enjoyed the chefs show while making our meals. The price point seemed a little high and they messed up our order a littleand a key reason why only 4 stars.Everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Oneida roll and the hibachi shrimp with noodles. The roll came out late and was good not great as the tuna was bland... I could not tell it was tuna.... and I had to ask for soy sauce to add some flavor. The hibachi shrimp was very good, the vegetables ok, and the noodles good....again not great.

Comment: I went there for lunch and got the hibachi chicken and shrimp. The food was pretty tasty and it was nice even at lunch time and only 3 people we still got a show. If you have celiac disease I would avoid getting the hibachi grill, there is just to much chance of cross contamination. The sushi is able to be prepared gluten free and was good as well. If you are looking for some sushi and Asian food then I would check this place out.

We both will be returning with friends as not only was the food, drinks and service excellent but Chef Mao and waitress Isabelle were the best of the best! They made our experience memorable. We had Hibachi dinner combos - chicken/shrimp and chicken/steak. We asked for noodles with both meals and had to pay a couple $$’s extra for that. I would rather have the overall dinner price increased to absorb the cost of white rice, fried rice or noodles vs being told noodles were extra. I had mentioned to Isabelle when we first sat down that it was my girlfriend’s birthday and we were pleasantly surprised to have the staff sing Happy Birthday and treat us to a delicious fried ice cream, with a candle, at the conclusion of our meal. We will absolutely return.

Comment: This place is the very best Hibachi in Syracuse. While Ichiban has gone downhill in both service and quality, Mitsuba is serving food that outshines the competition. Today we had the most entertaining Chef I heave ever had in my 30 years of visiting Hibachi restaurants. And it was for lunch! The guy worked harder for only my wide and I at the table than any Ive seen at a full table for dinner service. And it is two stores down from Branching Out bottle shop;)

Comment: Have gone to Mitsuba (parsley in Japanese) a handful of times for hibatchi and sushi. A small bar area, spacious seating for over 270 people and nice atmosphere. There are 5,6 hibatchi grille stations where youll be entertained by skilled chefs. Beef, chicken and seafood entrees are prepared in front of you whether youre a party of 1 or 12. Your party can order sushi too. Hibatchi entrees are $14-$18. Sushi platters, at least 8 pieces, $10-$12. You can order a la carte as well. Away from the grille its regular resteraunt seating. Portions are plentiful.Plenty of beer, wine, alcohol to choose from. Tell the hostess someone in your party is having a birthday. Itll be worthwhile. Mitsuba is clean and family friendly. Appetizer, soup/ salad, entree or sushi, drinks, dessert for 2, 20% tip = $65+-, party of 8 = $260+-.

They bring a complimentary sushi roll to your table, much like Tullys brings you popcorn, and things just got better from there. I have been there four times and each time has been excellent.The food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Plus it is open for lunch! Each time the owner has been on premise and was right there in the dining area making sure everything ran smoothly. The wait staff and the hibachi chefs are wonderful. Fresh, high quality ingredients are the highlight of the meal.We have tried all of the hibachi combinations and were pleased.
