Comment: Came here on a Thursday for lunch, we were seated promptly and each of us ordered the lunch roll special. The sides listed on the menu are not what come with it (i was expecting to have a choice of edamame and another appetizer, plus a choice of soup or salad, what i got was soup and salad with no other choices). I ordered the spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll, rather than being sushi with spicy sauce on top the fish was minced in with ???. Seemed like filler and not like alot of fish. The rolls were also smaller. For the price it was a good value but I think next time Ill try sashimi so I can get real (not minced or mixed) fish! The speed we were served means im definitely willing to give this place another try!

Comment: My server was so nice. I went there for my husbands birthday they surprise him with a tempura ice cream (which meant a lot to me since he never had it and I really wanted him to try it. Im a vegetarian and they had so many option for me too. Everything was so delicious, my husband said it sushi was one of the tastiest he has ever had; food was fast to arrive at the table and the whole staff was so friendly and nice.Highly recommended everyone to try this place

Comment: We loved our dinner! After a long day visiting at the hospital, we came in just before closing and the staff and crew were very gracious with us. Our food came quickly and we enjoyed our bento boxes. I’m the variety was perfect and even my “beginner” friend found something she enjoyed. I love how they focus on Japanese food only instead of branching out to other types of Asian cuisine like some places do (and end up getting lost in translation). I love their dinner bento boxes, their sushi, their oshinko, the Big Eye roll, and tempura. I always find something new to discover everytime I go. Their Stuyvesant Plaza location is very nicely appointed and perfect for dinner or get togethers. The staff is very nice and efficient also. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat.

Comment: As someone who has lived in Japan before, I have been very choosy in my search for authentic Japanese cuisine in the area. Out of all the restaurants that claim to serve real Japanese food, Mr. Fuji at Albany is the winner. I often come here for their tempura, negimaki and mango mochi ice cream. My only complaint is that the quality of their food can be inconsistent from day to day; sometimes the tempura is not so crispy, or the beef is not as tender as before. Nevertheless, I enjoy the clean, savory flavors of whatever I order at Mr. Fuji. Moreover, the wait staff are polite and attentive, especially Serena. I would definitely recommend Mr. Fuji to anyone looking for a real taste of Japan.

Mr. Fuji Sushi is one of our favorite restaurants to go to when we are looking for excellent food, quickly served meals, and a clearly devoted staff. Each time we go we are welcomed graciously and treated very respectfully throughout our meal. The staff is personable to the point where they can recall that we have dined there before and even what we have ordered in the past. We enjoy the elegant and spotless dining area with beautiful decor as we (hardly) wait for food that was made with much care and attentiveness.
