Comment: The scallops, shrimp and chicken on the hibachi grill were excellent. The veggies delicious too. The service was top - someone was always available and easy to get their attention. The bar was a busy place - people seemed to really enjoy their drinks. The mango shrimp was just okay - the sauce was a little too thick in my opinion. I’d definitely recommend and return for the sushi.

We had sushi this day while shopping in Middletown....kind of a late lunch, early dinner. The sushi was very fresh and well made. The miso soup was just right. The California roll was very tasty for some reason....better than other places. The seaweed salad is very fresh and some crunch, too. Not soggy like some places give you. Theres a Golden Mango Shrimp dinner that is big and awesome tasting. If you like eel sushi, try the Unagi (eel) Don. Its a dinner with lots of eel and rice. See the photos below.Weve been back a few times now.Right off of Rt 17 the Quickway exit for Rt 211 Middletown.EZ off/ EZ on the highway (Rt 17 The Quickway)if youre traveling upstate. Get off at the Rt 211 exit/Middletown Nice place to stop for lunch or dinner any time.This restaurant was originally recommended by a friend. Its worth the trip! Now I can recommend it too!

Comment: Came here after a few years for dinner with the family. Would definitely recommend the mango shrimp as well as the sushi boat. I think the sushi boat can comfortably feed 3 people. The sashimi is some of the best I’ve had in the area.

Comment: Great little place tucked back away in a shopping center. I split the “love boat” platter with my friend. It’s the perfect amount of sushi for two people. The servers are very attentive, and all the sushi is made right there in the sushi bar. I would suggest maki my reservations if you plan to go around dinner time though.

Comment: I really loved my experience here. It was my first time here, I came with my lovely girlfriend. We really enjoyed the options and variety that was offered. I’m definitely going to be visiting this place every time I get the chance. The sushi was very good in my opinion. The place aesthetic this is cool. There’s a bar on one side and a hibachi section on the other side. Which I’m looking forward in trying, next time I’m in the area. The waiter that took care of us was very helpful and funny. Which made the experience ten times better.

Comment: To be completely honest, we’ve only started eating sushi seven years ago. Don’t judge but I live with a picky eater. Then we discovered it one day and spicy mayo sauce and the rest was history. This place is the best for sushi! This is coming from two Queens New Yorkers. (We’ve tried a lot of places for sushi in NY city) When we moved upstate seven years ago we were desperate for a good place to eat. It took some time but we found it. Mr Sushi and Grill is always amazing and fresh! The food is priced right and service is fast.We’ve taken everyone that comes for a visit to this place at least once. I always try to order something new while my picky eater hubby likes to stick to regular rolls like shrimp tampura, spicy tuna, spicy shrimp and Boston roll. He also likes to get the hibachi rice without the veggies. 😹I love their Dream Roll and spicy tuna roll. I’ve also tried their giant drink. I’m not sure what we had but it was big and I probably didn’t finish it all.

Comment: I had a great time here. The specialty rolls are very good. We started with the chicken gyoza and the tuna “ravioli.” Well, it was the first thing we saw on the menu that may have hinted at the surprise we had when we saw all of the Italian desserts. The gyoza was mediocre at best. The “ravioli” was interesting. Almost too much mashed avocado surrounded by a thin layer of tuna. Wouldn’t order again. The specialty rolls were, however, definitely worth the visit. We had a Brazilian, spicy girl, New Orleans, and a mr sushi. Everything was very fresh tasting— really great sushi. I would definitely return. The desserts, like I mentioned, were all ITALIAN... I was not expecting it, but they were really delicious. Order the tiramisu.

Comment: I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and this place was off the charts man! So delicious...the drinks and the sushi were heaven! The table got a couple of the different flavored mojitos, a strawberry and a ginger one, both were tasty. Not at all watered down or too sugary. To eat I got some different sushi rolls. I think they were called Snow White and Spicy Girl. Really great and fresh. The plating was beautiful too! I was so excited to eat I forgot to take pictures. Also the service was really nice. Our waitress was really sweet and patient with us asking questions about different rolls. I highly recommend this place!
