Comment: My wife and I had the Yasai Shoyu Ramen (asked to remove tofu) and it was phenomenal!! Didn’t even miss the pork/chicken broth in traditional Shoyu ramen. My picture was half way through eating the ramen but there was a generous helping of arugula on the top. We came at 12:30pm on a Tuesday so we were there with only one other customer. The service was fast and our waitress was decent, nothing to write home about. The decor and ambient is also decent. In other words you come here just for the food. Prices are fair, we will be coming back.

Comment: Really good ramen.For herbivores: There’s three different ramen options to choose from, the kimchi ramen seemed to be the best one.For omnivores: Spicy Shoyu is where it’s at in this joint, really nicely prepared super tender pork. This is a spot for groups of two and for quick eaters. Nice for a quick talk but wouldn’t stay here for hours. (Just a preference, not the vibe.) Definitely recommend this spot, will keep coming. (Make sure you bring cash or a card to use the atm inside, if you use a virtual wallet you should know there’s no possible way you’ll be able to get cash in a five block radius.)

Comment: Yummy!! This place is good for a quick high quality lunch or dinner. Love the ambiance and decor. I plan on eating my way through all the ramens on the menu. My boyfriend is vegetarian and about half the menu is veggie broths, so it’s easy to order a veggie entree without meat. They even give you a free green tea creme brûlée for desert! Pro tip: ask for the chili oil and garlic. They also have a cute backyard with private booth seating. Unfortunately not wheelchair friendly though.

Comment: This is a lovely ramen restaurant! Cute place to dine for friends or family, even during COVID-19 (outdoor dining in the back). Went as a family and got to try a wide selection of ramens and dishes from their menu. Everything was really delicious, especially the mackerel and takowasa. Really appreciated that the soup wasn’t over salty allowing us to truly appreciate its flavor and finish the soup. Overall, a wonderful place in Brooklyn to get Japanese Ramen. You won’t be disappointed!

The two hostesses are so sweet! I can’t imagine trying any other ramen after Nana to be honest.Small menu (but everything tastes phenomenal)Cash only! Comment: This is a neighborhood gem! Ben had the Tan Tan, which had a broth that was mildly coconut, sesame, chili, and garlic. My Shoyu with chicken dumpling was super, with flavorful broth, perfectly al dente noodles, and chicken and chive meatballs. We tried the Ononmiyai pancake which has something interestingly smokey and fishy along with chives and nori. I would have preferred it without the mayonnaise drizzle.

Comment: The black tonkotsu is rich and has a good depth of flavor without being greasy. The ramen is on the thicker side which I personally prefer and pairs well with the broth. The broth has a very well rounded umami flavor, and nicely cooked chashu making it a delightful bowl of ramen. This place is cash only. Also has a good selection of Japanese beer and sake.
