Highly recommend it as it will let you taste a lot of different options and will likely fill you up and you might end up with a little to goFried tempura icecream:Was a sweet vanilla ice cream with a light tasting tempura batter. Overall was a great dessert to finish off the meal withMango Sangria:Delicious drink. For a Japanese place, the sangria wasnt bad. Surprising even.Atmosphere:We got seated in the back with a nice backdrop of art work which looked like waves in a more typical modern japanese art form. It felt a bit private and definitely gives it a nice date like appeal. My one qualm is that walking to the table in the back was a bit tight. The tables are situation kinda close together so I imagine when its crowded, it will get loud and may be difficult to walk to and from the table if you need to go to the restroom or outside.Definitely recommend on a slow day for a date night. Was a nice place.Bill for 2 people was $91 + tax

The staff is so welcoming and sweet and the food is beyond delicious. every time my boyfriend and I walk in, we are always greeted with genuine smiles and you can feel the welcoming presence in the atmosphere. ever since I started going to Narita, I was never able to go to another sushi place... it just doesnt taste the same! Stephanie is a sweetheart and so is every other waiter/waitress. I get the same thing every single time and I absolutely LOVE it, spicy crunchy salmon with cream cheese and a nice bowl of miso soup. YUM! I will forever be coming back to this place no matter how many years pass by. Im never too tired for Narita, sometimes I come here after a full 10 hour shift in my uniform and everything lol. It is so worth it. (I PROMISE MY HEAD IS NOT THIS BIG)

Comment: First time coming to this sushi spot since I was in the area and craving sushi. Entering, was offered to either sit on a regular table or in the other section which is on the floor. I was hesitant but was recommended to sit in the floor area by the person I was with. Expected to actually be sitting on the floor. There are cushions placed but the floor is hollowed out for your feet. You take your shoes off as well. It is a authentic atmosphere that you dont get in many other places. I enjoyed the atmosphere the most in this place. The food was good, but I am a vegetarian at a sushi place (includes no fish), so my options are very limited and this review is based on only the vegetarian options. I had to take off a star because of one of the sushi rolls, forget the name but it was fermented soy with scallions was not good. The texture was mushy and I was only able to eat the one piece that I had sampled. I would definitely come back though just for the atmosphere and the other rolls were great. I appreciated that they had a vegetarian roll section on their menu.

Hibachi where they cook in front of you, traditional Japanese. Shoes off and sitting on cushions on the ground and regular tables as well. Stopping in alone. No problem have a seat and watch sushi chefs do their thing at the sushi bar,while sipping saki or a beer.

Comment: Its a tossup for the best sushi in Forrest Hills between the small unassuming Sushi Time on Austin and Narita. Narita scores big on ambiance, and depth of menu, with Hibachi options, variey of rolls, and overall presentation. Great flavorful miso soup with large chunks of tofu, great nonsushi items like Tonkatsu, and Oyakodon and ramen options, all unavailable at Sushi Time,make Narita standout. And while I have a slight preference for the sushi at Sushi Time, overall Narita makes great sushi too. Ultimately its a question of whether you want good sushi in an unpretentious place (go sushi time then), or a nicer sit down place with some nonsushi options, go Narita. There are a lot of other sushi places in forest hills, from Jade to Mocca, but overall your best bet is to always choose between these two or opt to pickup a poke from the new poke place if you just want a quick cheap bite . Also of note, great lunch special bento box at $12.95, though when they say available till 3 its because they close until dinner, so make sure you dont arrive at 2:50 and expect a sit down lunch.

Comment: Great maki/sushi. I had mushroom, shrimp, and Ume shiso. The wait staff was great and the food was so good that I didnt even add spicy Mayo and I always dip into spicy Mayo! It also has a variety of seatings, American and Asian style seating as well as outdoors. The place was also very clean and had a nice setting.

They always make sure your water is topped off and they check in on you to make sure your happy with your meal. The most important thing you need to know is the sushi is fresh, and delicious!
