Our sever was pretty rude and made an error with my husbands order then had the audacity to role her eyes once we corrected her. We weren’t rude at all about it. It’s totally ok things happen. But don’t roll your eyes. You work in the service / restaurant industry. Then to top it off they automatically charge 18% tip to your bill. Again totally fine, but I think that’s why we were given poor service as they know they will make their money regardless.This place leaves much to be desired.

He consistently checked up on us and even recommended a dish that we ended up loving! He even recommended some drinks that we loved too! The food was great and could tell there’s love in our food the chef must love his job! I usually go to mito in bayside as my go to restaurant but wolly just won me over with making nikkos my go to now! 10/10

Comment: This time I think Nikkos deserves 3 stars. We were able to be seated right away next to some really entertaining folks in the hibachi area. Food was excellent as always. The ONLY one downside to the evening was that we felt rushed after paying our tab for us to leave the hibachi area. I think after spending almost 300 for a group of 4 people you should at least be allowed to enjoy your stay without having to be rushed.Update: tonight was great. Food was delicious. The Kani Salad needs some work.

The chef was very funny & interactive (remember at end of his performance, tip the chef a couple extra bucks in his hand) The service was great, everyone very nice, the place was very clean. Place is very well designed & bathrooms r very pretty. Prices were good. We went for lunch at 1pm on a Saturday & was nice & quiet still, with 2 chefs out doing there cooking for guests & so if your looking for a quieter time this may be perfect for any celebration or just lunch. They also automatically charge tip of 18.25% to the total on check so everything is taken care of in one shot, up to you if you want to add extra % tip for great service. One tip: on their dessert menu they offer a fried ice cream w/a selection of flavors but if u want just ice cream without the fried dough on top they subtract $2 (which is not mentioned but reflected in your bill, went from 6 to $4) & it came w/whip cream & sprinkles & was perfect for me & it’s a good portion for 2 to split. A must go!

The food was great I ordered an avocado roll, sweet potato roll, a small filet mingon entree that was actually really good but it had a strong hint of wasabi, vegetable lo mein, vegetable fried rice and the rainbow roll. Everything went great food service was not long . However I had like 3 different servers it got confusing. One of them was really rude and hurrying us up. The other two were sweet and calm. I will definitely be coming here again to try out the hibachi!

Tips should not feel like an obligation.Dont get me wrong, I was going to tip anyways but the tip should be based on service. My waitress just came to me, took my order, and came back in time for the bill. She didnt deserve a $20 tip for that. The cook deserved that tip because he cooked and entertained.If I was a party of 4 or more, i definitely understand including the tip. I support that. If youre going to indirectly demand a tip by including it in my bill, the service quality should equate to the amount you are asking for.

It couldnt be further from the truth, at least here for sure.The atmosphere was amazing everyones having a good time, the experience is great the chef was skilled and charismatic, the food was amazing, best fried rice Ive ever had, our group of 7 were eating the rice without the meat yet it was that good. Our group all ordered different things, and all tried some of eachothers stuff. Everyone agreed the filet minon was the best.Btw, whoever the bartender is, does NOT mess around when it comes to the alcohol in your drinks.

Comment: The service was mediocre and a little lacking. The waitress was not very attentive and the prices were on the high side. They were also out of a few Ramune soda flavors. On top of that, I had just graduated from St. Johns University nearby and was still wearing my gown and I found it strange that nobody said congratulations or offered a little dessert or had any sort of special for graduates. I only bring this up because there was an Italian restaurant nearby that actually had a chalkboard sign outside that said Congratulations St. Johns University Graduates! I have attended many graduation dinners before where the table has always been offered SOMETHING by the restaurant so I just find it strange that it wasnt the case here. It felt like the staff were just happy to get the extra money from the influx of graduates coming through the door.As for the actual food, the filet mignon was one of the best Ive ever tasted. I probably have to thank a lot of butter and salt for that, but Im not going to complain about calories at a hibachi restaurant. The salad and soup were also very delicious. As for the desserts, although they were very good we ended up getting one dessert instead of one that we actually ordered but we were fine with it so didnt bother to make a complaint. The desserts were good too, but again, on the expensive side.Might return here if Im in the area, but wouldnt make a special trip for it.

Comment: This place is always crowded! Especially the hibachi section of the restaurant. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated on the regular side. Customer service is good. We ordered sushi and sashimi for two- the sushi was pretty fresh, however, it was too much for us to finish. The bathroom was out of soap at the time. What disappointed me the most was that they did check for vaccination cards, so I’m not sure how well they are taking precautions here.

Chefs and servers all wear masks. Food was good, might be a little too much butter on some dishes. Prices of the food will fit most budget to get some live entertainment. I didnt do the Hibachi table so I cant comment on that. We had a new waiter so he had minor errors that the host was able to fix as she was walking around. Comment: So I came here yesterday for my birthday, and I must say I really enjoyed myself. Even though my boyfriend made a reservation for 6 and we didn’t get seated until like 7:30ish, my guest and I still had fun. We weren’t the only party group there so I couldn’t be too upset. The waitress was nice, and our chefs were HILARIOUS (especially Jimmy I think his name is)! Overall, I loved it, and the food was good too. I will definitely will be going there again!The only thing that I had a slight problem with was the capacity. It was really full and wasn’t sure if covid guidelines were being followed. But as I stated before, everything else was great.

Comment: First time there was the last day before indoor dining ended in NYC again. Capacity was at 25% which wasnt a bad thing. The place is nondescript, theres parking in the back but we found street parking right in front. The staff was pleasant following all covid protocols and we were seated promptly. The appetizer selection was great and we got them quickly, beers on tap, sake and the usual assortment of cocktails. The hibachi itself was good. Normal show with lots of sake flowing and fresh meats and veggies. The meal was great and we had an overall wonderful time. Will definitely go again!

He has a little bottle with a guy peeing and squirts you with it he even squirts vodka in your mouth. He literally made the experience so awesome. Food gets A+++++++.PRICEPrice is decent and falls on line with other restaurants. For a couple or two ppl it cost me about 123.00. Thats for a full bottle of wine 2 appetizers two specialty entrees and dessert. Wine bottle was 36 so that was a big portion of the overall price. Pricing seems in line with others.ENTERTAINMENTEntertainment was awesome. The cook was very funny and adaptable. Kept everyone well engaged all while respecting conversations. Had fun the whole time watching the food sizzle as well as cooks funny acts.SUMMARYIn recap this is a place I would definitely recommend and come to many times in the future. If you have a family or couple this place is suitable. Also time I came in was 630pm which was the best time as far as seating.

His flair as a very good hibachi chef and entertainer is worthy of his 5 star rating. The food was delicious. My son finished all his fried rice and most of his steak. He also ate all my leftovers the next day. That Rascal!. The appetizers were great, and the presentations of the foods that were shown of my family, as well as our table mates, were simply eye catching. The mixed drinks we ordered were not only colorful, but very tasty. I definitely will be back, and I highly recommend this place. It didnt break the bank either. The food tasted very fresh.

This establishment is one where the waitress/waiter is very sweet in the beginning and will rush you when you get your meal. It’s a Sunday today (May.7th) & hardly crowded at all. Why are you rushing us? Even the couple that came a few minutes after us was rushed. I feel the young lady was turned off, she was eager to leave. I would hate to think this, but i already feel it (maybe they just like to rush people of a certain “background”, more than others. They know who to single out to rush and who not to rush. I can’t imagine how they would want a great tip with service like that.

Comment: Ive tried many Hibachi places, and while many of the tricks have lost their novelty, Nikko reminded me of their charm. With a very modern and welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant is appealing the moment you walk inside. The staff is friendly and takes very good care of you, always checking in to make sure you have what you need. The Hibachi chefs are funny and friendly and will actually have conversations with you. The food is more than enough to feed two from one dish, and the prices are fair enough that you can afford to sample a large part of the menu, without breaking your wallet. If seafood isnt your thing, they do have plenty of land food that tastes just as good as the other dishes. Would definitely eat her again and again.

This place has a good atmosphere, little quiet, good decor. The staff was friendly but at a point i felt like they want us to go asap, were not given attention at the beginning. The hibachi chef was my favorite! He was so entertaining and he made us delicious food. Loved them! Their dessert was good. They have parking available on the back. At the end they came with a free frozen ice-cream with a beautiful candle and sang happy birthday to my girlfriend. She loved it! Overall it was a good experience. Will go again. Recommend!
