Comment: Tonight we got to celebrate something very exciting. As many of you have known my daughter is a senior this year. Night she was accepted to her number one school, SUNY Cortland.We went to nishiki in Selden which was good not great. The chef was awesome and very entertaining but we felt the chicken was dry.We had a blast, and everyone was so happy. Its great to see her smile so hard!Congrats Gabby! You did it!

Comment: I wasnt nervous to start eating here as I might have been (because, truthfully, eating at a restaurant I dont know that serves fish can make me feel apprehensive at best) because a friend of mine who lives around the corner from Nishiki has been eating here for decades. Weve never eaten in, only ordered takeout, so I cant speak to the atmosphere, but we have never had a problem with the food. Its always fresh and smells and tastes delicious the moment we open the bag. My friend gets hibachi all the time and really enjoys that too.

Comment: Got a coupon to come here so I wasnt expecting much at this place considering places that give out coupons like that arent doing well. I was pleasantly surprised. The Philadelphia roll was excellent and tasted fresh. The chicken hibachi my wife got was excellent. I got the chicken teriyaki which wasnt great, but everything else was good. The atmosphere was nice, we didnt sit at one of the hibachi tables just the regular dining area which was quiet and well decorated. The service was also very good. I would come back here again for the hibachi.

Comment: Local guide approved! Excellent place to be with friends or family and even kids. Very entertaining cooks. The place looks very clean and the environment in general is cozy. Don’t be afraid of the sale squirt!!! It is fun and it is mild so you don’t choke with the alcohol. All the food is great but my favorite one was the sushi pizza, loved it!!!.

The food was good but a bit overpriced for the area.the guy who seen to be the manager,owner was on the cell phone the whole time.some people even walked out because they couldnt get any help wich is weird for that type of restaurant.would NOT go there again.. update2 years later the service is way better .Will go back

Comment: We had take out from here yesterday and everything was delicious. The avocado salad and dressing amazing, the calamari tender and the hibachi steak and chicken combo was SO GOOD. It had rice, veggies, small salad and two extra shrimps on the side. They included all dressings, sauces, utensils..packed nicely in a tightly sealed carryout. All was perfect!!

Comment: Came here for mothers day, its easier to make a reservation when you have 2 people or more because you can be waiting 30 minutes plus. Staff is awesome, friendly, professional and good sense of humor. Really great quality of food, and excellent prices for Hibatchi! Their sushi menu is really great to! Waitress was very nice and pleasant! This is a really great place to come for Hibatchi or Sushi! My pictures will explain how it went! And they have a awesome wall of decorations!

The price is always high at hibatchi but the food here is well worth it. If your looking for spicy foods this may not be the place for you as unfortunately it wasnt up to par with my liking on that end. I highly recommend the show as they are clever, friendly, and fun for any age group. The decor and atmoaphere is excellent for a date night but very dark in comparison to other restaurants.

I wish they would not sit large parties with other parties - honestly if you have 5+ people you should be able to get your own table.The enjoyment of the “show” portion of the meal definitely depends on your group, but also the chef. We also got sushi and they were super cool about swapping shrimp out for something else because of allergies. I totally recommend the coconut martini!!! It was soooo delicious!

Comment: I like this place. I usually go to green tea hibachi in lake grove cuz I have little kids and they the chefs do a pretty good show and make ballon animals for the kids. Nikishi is closer to my house.Only thing my kids hate about this place is they don’t make ballon animals lol. Otherwise food is good.service for refills and stuff is usually bad. U have to ask for it often.

Comment: Excellent night out! Food is always exceptionally good. The hibachi table is entertaining and most of the guys put on a good show. Service for drinks is not very quick, but it is always busy so it is understandable. Make a reservation for weekends, but still expect a wait. If you go without, you may be there a long time. Prices are good and average for hibachi service.

Comment: We went out on a Sunday night at around 8:30 and was seated within minutes. The server came and took our drink order and it was there within minutes. Then again she took our dinner order. Before we knew it our drink was there and the chef was cooking our food. Habashi cooking has to be one of the best ways to dine out. Chef was entertaining and the food was excellent. We definitely will return.

Comment: They are good and convenient if youre in Selden, but not a place I would go out of my way for. Compared to some other local Hibachi places, their serving sizes are on the smaller side for the price. They have a club-like vibe when you first walk in and their staff is a little more casual than I would expect. Dont expect to get anything you order on a slow weekend afternoon.

Comment: I guess everyone has different experiences. I tried this place when they first opened- about a year and a half ago- and it was phenomenal! And the service was great too- they gave us so much free stuff and totally bent over backwards for us. (Granted the owner knew us because we used to be regulars at her previous restaurant in Patchogue) I havent been there since but I am shocked by what I am reading. Ill have to go back and try it again to see if anythings changed. To be honest though- if a restaurant closes at 10 and you show up at 9:30- thats pretty rude on the customers part... just sayin.
