Comment: Definitely my new go-to spot in the city for some amazing ramen and vibes that kinda remind me of a speakeasy. Me and my date tried the Sapporo ramen and the soupless mushroom truffle creamy ramen, both were top-notch. The mushroom ramen was a fantastic blend of Japanese and Italian flavors, not too heavy, just perfect. We also had the truffle egg sandwich, and boy, I could munch on those all day. Service was quick, the place had a great buzz, and yeah, prices felt right for what you get. Comment: Pleasantly surprised! We had no reservation but the host managed to get us a table, they just needed it back in time for an existing reservation.Service was friendly and quick. Food was fantastic, the fried chicken (tori no karaage) outstanding! Pork buns melted in my mouth .. I also had their Miso Ramen (cant remember the actual name) which was terrific. I lived in Hokkaido for years and miso is my thing ...The real delight are the cocktails. I didnt have any (I prefer beer) but my wife and daughter did and they really loved them.Definitely worth the visit, even if you have to wait for seats.

Comment: Amazing ramen place. Loved the broth on the Kyoto and they give you an egg & pork belly & bamboo for $18. Soup curry was interesting but I preferred the ramen.Deviled eggs were solid but a little too mustard-y for me.Drinks were actually amazing as well. Best drinks menu Ive seen from a ramen place (or best ramen Ive had at a bar?). Recommend the yoghurt washed lassi or the chamomile drink.

Comment: I tried this place because they are serving Mazemen ramen at lunch. Had a reservation and the place was packed.NR delivered and it is now on my list for dinner time.Well thought atmosphere, low lights and fluted glass, with the old bar setting still in place. With the right music selection it would have been even better. The chicken bun is very good, their mushroom Mazemen was a solid 7 (I will have to come back to try the salmon one). Try the Kyoto ramen, not too spicy and heavy on the broth.

We ordered novelty drinks like Japanese highball, Penicillin & Green Tea Highball and for food we had Deviled Eggs with Sea Urchin/Caviar, Edamame and Kara-Age. We liked everything we had and highly recommend the Deviled Eggs and all of their drinks are immaculate.

Comment: Really liked the Sapporo ramen and Mexican firing squad drink. If anything, the drink could have been a bit less sweet and a bit more spicy, but still very good. The ramen was delicious. Edamame was good. My friend got the miso glazed eggplant and chipotle watermelon mocktail as well as the Kyoto ramen. Servers were friendly and consistent without hovering. I liked the chairs they use for outdoor seating as well, and I’m pretty picky about that kind of thing haha. The inside of this place looked beautiful too.

Comment: Interesting menu. Good food though not quite 5 stars. Worth a try if in the area. Restaurant was willing to accommodate some alterations to order. We tried the:Spicy Fried Chicken Bun 5/5Miso Glazed Eggplant 4/5 - great texture and flavour of the eggplant but I thought the glaze was too sweet and didn’t quite work for me. Generous portion.Sea Urchin and Salmon Caviar (soupless) with gluten free noodles (4/5) - very tasty and worth a try. I really enjoyed this but wouldn’t order again given the relatively higher priceKyoto ramen - (4/5). Very good ramen. Though beware if you have a sensitive nose as the broth is chicken and fish based.

Comment: Yah fabulous spot in the UES. Loved the blue cheese martini. They have happy hour oysters from 5-7pm on weeknights which was a big win. Appetizers and ramen also delicious. We got chicken karaage, wagyu tartare and truffle egg sando for apps. Tried both the uni ramen and soup ramen too. Everything was amazing. The only thing was we got a really bad oyster which you could smell from a mile away… although they replaced it immediately I’m surprised it wasn’t picked up on ahead of time and still served.

Comment: I got a delightful Sunday brunch at NR. The genius concept of serving crispy karage accompanied by a dip infused with matcha powder truly caught my attention. It was a brilliant fusion of flavors that left me craving for more. As for their cocktails, they certainly didnt disappoint. The Matcha Sancho cocktail, with its refreshing blend of Japanese-inspired ingredients, transported me to a realm of unique and invigorating taste. Try their version of Manhattan, Old fashioned, Whisky Sour and youll be blown away!Compared to the drinks, food isnt too impressive, but its still tasty. I recommend deviled eggs and truffle ramen. Lamb curry is mediocre, wagyu and bone marrow noodles are way too greasy.

Comment: Food and drinks were great, service is beyond lovely, and the ambiance is nice too :)We got the karage fried chicken, bone marrow and wagyu ramen, and chicken curry soup. Portion was perfect, very full, not stuffed, and no left overs. The bone marrow and wagyu wasnt heavy at all. The wagyu melts in your mouth. The scallion is great with the bone marrow. The curry soup is more liquidy and more Pakistan spice style, not your typical Japanese curry. The cocktails were very delicious and creative. The pineapple and passion fruit is a really fun where they light it on fire, taste like a tropical fruit punch. I LOVED the herb and green apple granita. So refreshing and different.Everything was great, strongly recommend.

Comment: No bar is perfect. Neither is this one.I came here for the first time on Christmas Eve 2021 - Omicron Era, and was pleasantly surprised at the Salon Vibes this place gave off. Theres a nice antique play on Americana and Japanese themes mixed in the layout with lots of seating options. Even for the night I was here, it was crowded.I had their classic old Negroni, Smokey Last Word, Hanky Panky, and The Olympic. All unique and tasteful in their own way. Like ROKC, the food menu is amazing. I tried their curry (no spice) and thought it was pleasant and light. If you have had Japanese curry you will know that it is not like curry dishes from India or Trinidad and Tobago - not as thick or generous. Its accurate here though from a Japanese curry standpoint; it reminded of the now closed Goemen Curry. The vibes and staff here is very chill and we ended up staying till closed. Shots here are liberal, so dont forget to drink lots of water. 😂

Comment: Wow! This restaurant (NR) is easily one of my top 5 favorite ramen spots in NYC. First of all—the service was impeccable, the servers were extremely attentive and kind, and were also very accommodating. Then when the food came, my friends and I were extremely excited and happy. We got the starters which included kara-age(fried chicken), a truffle egg salad sandwich, and a salad. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the truffle sandwich was absolutely amazing. It also came with matcha salt(which I personally wasn’t a huge fan of), and butter. We also got the Cotton Candy Mussels appetizers, which was pretty yummy. The mussels were good but we couldn’t really taste the cotton candy. The ramen is definitely the star of the show. The Kyoto ramen is made with a fish/garlic based broth and that was really nice, the broth was super flavorful with the garlic aroma. The pork belly was one of the most tender I’ve had in ramen so far. The pork belly absolutely melts in your mouth. Be sure to get the spicy chili oil on the side if you want an extra kick.Overall I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come again.

Comment: This place is really more of a cocktail place than a food place. The drinks are good, nice vibe but the food is just ok. We had the Sapporo ramen and Wagyu Ramen with Bone Marrow. The soupless Wagyu Ramen was delicious. The Sapporo ramen was just ok because the soup wasnt hot (it was just warm) and it tasted like corn soup with butter.. maybe that was the intention. I could hear the next table really liking it but we eat a lot of ramen in the city so this was just ok for that.

Comment: Loved the vibe. We were seated near the kitchen and Im guessing the tables closer to the front would have been more ideal, but our server was so nice and attentive (this was around 5:30pm), we didnt mind. We ordered the deviled eggs, pork buns, and the wagyu ramen and a few drinks. Was an overall enjoyable meal and I would go back. The main reason its not getting 5 stars is that we had to vacate the table by 7:30 to make way for the next diners. They did tell us as soon as we were seated so we were expecting it, but it took a while before the ramens were served so we maybe had 40 mins to enjoy it. The bar was full so we really had to leave even when we wanted to stay and order some more (another friend decided to join us for dinner).

Comment: Second review: Came back a second time for the Sapporo ramen and spicy chicken bun paired again with the Yuzu Sansho and capped the night with their Ethiopian Coffee cocktail. Ratings still stand for the drinks alone are awesome.First review: As far as atmosphere, this is a great place using the first floor of an apartment building in the UES. Great cocktails pairing with the ramen. Didnt realize how well cocktails paired with ramen compared against the usual beer and sake. I had the Yuzu Sansho paired with the low spiced Kyoto ramen (pork based) while my friend had the Blue Cheese Martini (with fig) paired with the Sapporo ramen (chicken based). We also had their deviled egg+egg+egg which I liked if you are a fan of sea urchin flavor that overpowers everything else on the eggs. The drinks are superb and the ramen is great but I cannot say that the ramen is exceptional by itself. Come here for the drinks with food plus ambience (and awesome service). Would definitely come back to try other dishes and appetizers but for sure the drinks. I cannot give a full 5 but Id definitely say 4 to 4.5 stars is a good range. Price to food & drink value is what youd expect in NYC and NR is largely worth it unlike some other spots in the city.

Comment: Booked a reservation for dinner here and I cant begin to say how much I loved it! Fantastic dining/drinking experience! Dont just come here for the food, but definitely make sure to get the cocktails! To start, my dining companion and I ordered the Pineapple + Passionfruit cocktail and the Smoky Last Word along with an order of the Spicy Fried Chicken bun and Mussel + Beer + Cotton Candy apps. The drinks were fabulous and the appetizers incredibly savory and tasty. We followed that up by then ordering another round of drinks: 2 Smoke cocktails. Incredibly smokey (saw what I did there) and deceptively strong. I really enjoyed drinking it before our food order. For our mains, we ordered the Kyoto and Sapporo Ramen. Both were extremely good and flavorful. We finished by ordering 2 more cocktails: Yuzu + Sansho and the Ethiopian Coffee. Perfect nightcap. The drinks, food, service, and ambiance here was amazing. Im surprised I didnt visit this establishment any time earlier. Will definitely be back!

Comment: Honestly, hands down one of the best Ramen Restaurants in NYC, very cheeky, glamorous, feels like dinning back during the 50’s with a touch of modern glamour and delicious cocktails. The staff was very on point, impressive, fabulous and I couldn’t be anymore impressed. Also, please don’t forget to try the Spicy Fried Chicken Bun and (It’s not spicy at all) juicy and saucy, honestly just the perfect bite before taking a swim in their Sapporo Ramen or their Chicken & Vegetable Curry Soup which was hands down (my new favorite) dish. I am sorry, but i forgot to take photos of the food as I was just starving and couldn’t resist.

Comment: After looking for a late night dinner spot, a few friends and I decided to give NR a try. The reviews looked good and ramen always hits the spot. Upon arriving at NR, we were greeted by the host and walked through a very nice and low light restaurant that had a very nice cozy vibe. The Food: I went with the Kyoto Ramen with a little spice, Pork Bun, Cotton Candy Mussels, and a Mixed Plate as appetizers to share with the group. The Kyoto ramen was delicious. The broth was flavorful and rich, the chashu was very tender and easily able to split apart, and the ramen itself was well cooked. The appetizers are a must try as well. The pork bun was good, nothing special to note. The Cotton Candy Mussels were new to me as Ive never had cotton candy on my mussels before. However, the pour some hot broth of sorts to melt the cotton candy and it actually paired very well together. The Mixed Plate was huge, with different assortments of other appetizers as well. It came with a egg salad sandwich, chicken karaage and a side salad. The Service: The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The ambience was very nice. The lights were dim and the candle in the middle definitely had a nice and cozy vibe to the place.Overall, very cool spot to try if youre in the area. Id recommend.

Comment: NR is a good place if youre having a ramen craving and want to get some great cocktails too. Came here for dinner with a friend, and we got two excellent cocktails (Our Negroni for me, Asian Mule for him), and shared a couple of the apps.We got the pork bun and the truffle egg sandwich for our starters, the latter on the recommendation of our server. Both were very flavorful and done well. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, while the truffle dip for the egg sandwich was generous and gave it an intense, heady flavor. The ramens themselves were done well, although wouldnt say its the best in town. I got the Sapporo chicken broth, which was very filling with loads of corn and broth. Slightly disappointed there wasnt more meat there, since I only got a medium-sized sliver of chicken, but I finished the bowl clean anyway.

Comment: Decent experience but not that special. Cotton candy mussels sound cool but taste exactly the same as the usual mussel dish. Uni ramen is fresh.Update: their summer ramen cold noodle is really good. The dish is well presented, the broth is refreshing and well seasoned, the eel is good too. And as usual the uni in uni ramen is fresh - this consistency is more than what you can ask for even at fancy sushi restaurants in new york. I also enjoy their drinks a lot - not too heavy with fun heavy thats very clear and distinct, not random syrups added to way too much alcohol

Comment: Walked in on a Friday night around 9pm and were able to get a table outside (sad we couldn’t sit inside) but the vibe seemed really cool and bathroom was spacious and clean.Service was good and efficient. Our server checked up on us the right amount of times and food came out quickly even how busy it was.Food was great and drinks were decent. Our table got the Kyoto Ramen and the Uni ramen and we loved it!!! Broth was amazing and the dry noodles were perfectly flavored. Also extra points for how fresh the Uni tasted. For apps we got the fried chicken, mussels, Devil eggs and the eggplant. I wanted to like the eggplants but I thought it was okay and maybe a little too sweet. The Devil eggs were delicious but You may not like it if you don’t like Dijon mustard because it was a bit strong for a couple of us. Fried chicken was so yummy and had this matcha dip so highly recommend! The mussels were fine but the cotton candy melting was a cute touch.Overall, I would come again to try other dishes and other drinks. Also, would come again for the dry noodle dish because it was that good!

Comment: This is worth a stop. Most notably for the bar service. Bartenders have upscale flair and the cocktails are PERFECT. If you’re into cocktails, the ingredients listed for the classic cocktails were correct and well balanced while simultaneously giving space for the original in house creations. The entrees were good. My wife got ramen and I got the chicken curry. Overall good but I wasn’t enthralled. What blew my mind was the pork and fried chicken buns as an appetizer. By far the best pork and/or chicken buns I’ve ever had. I wish I just got another order of these!Overall for the cocktails in particular, absolutely worth a date night stop.

Comment: Food, drinks, and vibes, all are great but would be even better if NR doesn’t have such a strict timing for each table. Comment: This is a swanky and fun Japanese cocktail bar and restaurant. Perfect for a date night or casual drinks in the UES. Reservations recommended. They have a nice oyster happy hour until 7 PM most nights but you should definitely take advantage of. Cocktails or funky but a little kitschy (who needs a cocktail served in a bell pepper?!?), And still delicious. All the food I tried was wonderful. A stand out is the curry soup which is a light thin soup from the Sapporo region of Japan, that is served with a side of rice. You can opt for chicken, vegetables, or both chicken and vegetables. The flavor is complex delicious and comforting and you can choose your spice level from 0 to 5 if you’re a space love her you could do four or five I got the four and it was perfect. The chicken is fall off the bone delicious and all the vegetables are well cooked.

Comment: This might just be my new fav spot in the city! The food and drinks were both mind blowing.Ok so I had the Truffle drink paired with a cheese and I was so shocked about how amazing it was. Took me aback. Never tasted anything like it. Then I had Yuzu+Siason (not sure if I’m spelling it right) and that was such a delightful flavor. The Bee+Chamomile was delicious too. Then my last drink was the Nightcap, the presentation was so cool, drink is on fire while being poured, get ur cameras ready. I loved it allI also tried like half their appetizers lol. Favorite was the Truffle egg sandwich. I clearly love truffles lol. The pork and fried chicken buns were delectable and the fried chicken by itself was great. I tried the mussels+beer+cotton candy bc it sounded interesting but the cotton candy just melts into the broth and u can’t taste it. The mussels were still good tho.I sat at the bar as I didn’t have a reservation and that was a fun time. Will be coming back a bunch.

Comment: Vibe: Swanky, energetic, classy with a rustic sensation. Draws a hip but eclectic crowd.Value: The ingenuity of the cocktails is well worth the trip and the cost.Yuzu+Sansho - Can taste the difference of using fresh yuzu. Drink let the natural flavors of the yuzu shine and didn’t over sweeten it like most places. Flavor carried through to the shiso and the orange blossom brought it together at the end.Bee+Chamomile - Ingredients brought out the best in each other. Smooth, consistent flavor from start to finish and it sat on the palate well w/ the chamomile maintaining the spotlight. Strong rear nose florals.Transparent Tomato - Showed off how much umami can be found in a tomato and doing it in a cocktail that’s not a Bloody Mary is bloody impressive.Miso Glazed Eggplant - Great textural contrast w the pomegranate. Eggplant itself was cooked really well. Dill brightened up the richness and heaviness of the burnt miso.Kyoto Ramen - Rather standard. Broth was expectedly lighter being chicken and fish based.*As always, remember everyone has off days, check your bias, and consider other palates.

They have lots of options and you can ask any server for recommendations too. I’ve tried 4 drinks and they are all amazing even the one that I asked for “Good looking” drink and taste doesn’t get compromised. Portion is just fine, I will say moderate. They are tasty, harmonious and subtle. Not heavily topping and seasoned but well made. They all have such nice characters.Plan and book your visit is recommend. But 1 time I got there by myself and luckily seated by the bar.Lovely spot for Date night, Hang out with family, Dinner with friends before head to somewhere else because they have limit seat time, I think around 90min. Comment: Best egg sandwich we’ve ever f&$:king had. Truffle is everywhere if you’re looking for it but not overpowering. The oysters were well-shucked and the accompanying vinaigrette was balanced and delicious. Then the ramen was in our top 5 for sure, even better than a few ramen places in Tokyo and Kyoto. We didn’t have drinks but we were sat at the bar and could watch the bartender at work. Some of the drinks were beyond creative, some with tiny origami cranes dangling off the side by a golden chain. We are most definitely coming back, and bringing all of friends. The staff are very nice, but also extremely competent. Overall a 10 star experience.

Comment: Great little hole in the wall with delicious food and cocktails! We were wandering around NYC, looking for a place to eat near Central Park when we stumbled upon this gem. It was a little out of the way from our intended path but totally worth it! They only had a couple of options, which I actually appreciate since but menus can be overwhelming. I will say the highlight was the cocktail. I’m a huge fan of gin, honey, and chamomile, so I was absolutely in love with the drink. They were quite accommodating with the seating even though they have a time limit of an hour and a half, we were able to choose table or bar, and actually switched from one to the other without issue. The host checked our vaccination cards prior to entering the restaurant, and the tables were separated by clear dividers so it felt pretty safe and clean.

Drinking the cocktail with the yuzu was a beautiful experience. It came with a beautiful origami thing on the side! It’s citrusy with a touch of floral with one big ice cube in the glass. Perfumey? It’s hard to describe the vibe but it’s a vibe. The ramen was the exact same experience. The pork chatsu was the most tender rib meat tasting thing to ever bless my body. Truffle Egg sandwich and fried chicken with matcha salt dip was such a fulfillment from the Mix Plate. Wish we have more stomach for sea urchin fish roe ramen, save it for the next visit. Drinks are beautifully crafted with originality and aesthetics. We loved seating at the bar and watching bartender shake on the drinks. This visit make me feel like nyc night life is back again. Spacious well designed interiors with good flow. It was lively yet not overcrowded. NR gives me a reason to come to UES more often now.

Comment: Edit: the past few times I’ve been I feel like they’ve been off their game a little bit with the cocktails.Original review: Sleeper! A nice date spot to slurp up some noodles and drink some cocktails, which are some of the best Ive had in the city. The curries and ramen are delicious. The inside vibe is low-lit and cozy. Service is overall good. A treasured neighborhood spot.

Comment: Great cocktail menu with fun drinks and apps.Very small food menu though, so its more of a drink place with food than a full restaurant. That being said, my group shared several apps and the soupless ramen and vegetable ramen and every thing was excellent. Very impressed with the veggie broth, it tasted homemade with veggie stock and not just hot water and salt like a lot of veggie broths end up being.

Comment: Skip the drinks, pig out on the food. All of the food here is either a staple (oysters) or very unique. My absolute favorite is the fish roe and sea urchin ramen!!The only con about the experience is that while the drinks are very theatrical, they tend to be very small, sometimes bland, and very weak in terms of alcohol content. Regrettably, I have to say that although the drinks are presented well, they can be overpriced. The best for me was the truffle cocktail. The food definitely carries the experience though! I recommend the uni ramen, summer cold, karaage, and truffle egg sandwich! Yum!

Comment: I love when restaurants take pride in the food they offer. Everything from the beautifully steamed edamame to the elaborate cocktails was top notch. I had the veggie ramen which was really flavorful and delicious. Service was really awesome. Plastic containers for hot sauce is my only call out, maybe also have more veggie items for appetizers as edamame was the only option. Will come back any day!

Comment: This is a cool place. Inside decor is similar to a speakeasy, I’m sure the cocktails are good but we were not drinking that day. The oysters are fantastic, the ramen was just okay, it would be more similar to that from south of Japan. It was very light in flavour. Overall a solid experience.

Comment: Great service, drinks, food, and cleanliness. We ordered pork and spicy chicken buns, the Kyoto ramen and the sea urchin ramen (soupless); all of which was DELICIOUS. As for drinks, we ordered the mezcal and grapefruit cocktails which were very good. Definitely coming back.

Comment: Ive already told multiple people about this place and we only ate there yesterday! Got a seat at the end of lunch and had a wonderful time at NR. Yet another place I wish would open in my neighborhood! Service is super friendly and on point. Our server knew the ins and outs of allergies and what I could have on the menu (sadly, almost nothing). Oyster HH was fantastic and the PEI oysters were so fresh we ordered another round. We loved all of the drinks we tried, and I only wish we could have tried more. I had the Smoky Pineapple and Ginger (LOVE the cardamom in this one) and my husband had Smoke and Asian Leaves. I very much had my eye on the frozen Lychee too. He loved his ramen and well be back when we can try the curries. They have GF noodles, but the ramen is sadly not able to be made GF. The only bad part? The number of options on the menu makes it nearly impossible to choose!

Comment: Cocktails AND ramen? Yes, please. If youre someone who has a hard time making choices, you will find yourself staring way too long at the massive cocktail menu and wondering how many drinks you can safely order in one sitting without looking like an alcoholic. I had major Goldilocks syndrome: every drink on the menu is more seductive than the last. In the end, I had the Grapefruit (which was meh), the Smoke which was very interesting, and maybe the Boulevardier though now I cant remember because I was staring at so many of them for so long! The ramen menu, by contrast, is much more straightforward. You basically have 2 choices, and I went with the Kyoto. You know how they say alcohol makes everything taste better? I dont know if that was the case here, but I sure as hell enjoyed that bowl of ramen.Service was excellent. The waiter was patient with my indecision and helped me narrow down my choices considerably.

Comment: Food: 5Value: 5Service: 5Atmosphere: 5Notes: I never thought I’d eat an egg salad sandwich at a restaurant, or ever. NR changed my mind about an entire dish which is impressive! The ramen is delicious. It isn’t anything life changing, but it measures up. $16 a bowl isn’t bad either for a more upscale restaurant. A server lit a drink on fire and squeezed a lime on it. I’d come back here!

Comment: One of the best cocktail bars (and ramen restaurants) on the Upper East Side. The drinks are made with impeccable detail. If you’re going for drinks, I recommend sitting at the bar. The bartender with the longer hair (sorry, I missed your name) is exceptional; he gave some great drink recommendations and hosted great conversation. I’ll definitely be back regularly!

Comment: You almost feel like its a speakeasy when you walk into this place. First off the restaurant is almost hidden as you can easily walk by without knowing its even there. They only have a small sign on the door with their name. It gives off a very 1920s vibe. This is a great place for high end cocktails. You almost want to try every one of them because the presentation is so unique. When you sit at the bar, its like free entertainment-especially when they use fire! Also, can I mention the oven of the bathrooms in the basement? :) Perfect for the wintertime.NR is a great place to go if you want a casual or lavish date night. If you want good ramen and cocktails, go here.

Comment: The best ramen and cocktails in the UES! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food they serve. The menu is limited because everything on their menu is excellent! The cocktails are one of the best things about this place they are a work of art! Its a cool little bar resto with great atmosphere. We are lucky to have this gem of a restaurant in our block. The service is always amazing. The staff are all pleasant and efficient! We have been to this place more than 5 times and they have consistently delivered excellent service! Highly highly recommended! This place is worth every penny! You have got to try this place if you find yourself in the Upper East Side of NY!

Comment: Great little spot, hidden between the residential high-rises of the Upper East Side. Super low-light, but greatly old-fashionably decorated. Cocktails are creative, fun, and quite potent! Not an incredible amount of seats, but I think the size is fitting of its decor.Food-wise, the appetizers and ramen were quite phenomenal in taste, but the ramen portions can be just slightly larger, but I was quite full with 1 app + 1 ramen. I had the Kyoto, quite a standard ramen recipe, but was well packed in flavor and taste.Great addition to the UES.

Comment: Absolutely loved this hidden gem! We live just down the street, so we decided to give it a try.Cocktails - pricey but delicious! Ive never been in a restaurant or bar before where I wanted to try multiple drinks. I got the pisco sour (my personal favorite) and it did not disappoint.Karaage - we loved this. Crispy, flavorful fried chicken. Creative with the matcha salt.Kyoto ramen - oh my goodness! Literally the best ramen Ive ever had. They gave us some spicy chili oil to add to it and it was perfect. Delicate, flavorful broth. Perfectly cooked vegetables and pork. Chewy, fresh noodles. All in all, great spot, glad they opened, cant wait to go back!!

Comment: This place is a true definition of a hidden gem. I was a little apprehensive because NR had massive shoes to fill to make up for the loss of the seamstress. I was beyond pleasantly surprised its a super discreet entrance and a beautiful interior and makes it if you feel like you stepped into a 1940s Japanese speakeasy. the menu is small and precise with great deals on delicious and fresh oysters, not to mention a damn fine ramen. The real winner here is the cocktails, order a cocktail and you will be pleasantly surprised with the meticulous fine small details that goes into every single crafted cocktail. The drinks are some of the most creative, and tasteful cocktails I’ve had in all of NYC. I didn’t really get to try the food, but heard it was good.
