Comment: My first time at Ohana. Went with family for a birthday celebration and I enjoyed the experience.We were late for our booking but the staff were very understanding. They served as usual and even stayed past their 11pm closing time. Great job guys.The food was great and the chef was hilarious. He made the whole experience so so fun. The birthday girl received complimentary cake on the house. The staff sung for her and even gave the pregnant lady additional slice of cake.The negative was the washrooms, the floor was a mess with toilet paper all over. Ill pardon them and give 5stars because it was past opening hours.I will highly recommend. You can order for take out, dine in, make reservation. Closing time is 11pm dont forget

Comment: As a business owner myself I hate to bash a place which I won’t do I will merely in hopes to the owner makes the changes or fixes what’s broken. I have dined at this place for 8 years or so and it was always spot on the meat was always quality they were just as good as edos I would always ask for Ralphie but this last time I called in a order I asked for the usual filet mignon and shrimp asked for extra mustard to find out they don’t have hibachi mustard anymore only yum yum sauce that threw me for a loop and was weary from that point on till I got home with my food and could already tell the filet mignon isn’t the filet mignon I was used too from here it looked poor in quality to the filet I used to get. And not having hibachi mustard in a hibachi restaurant is crazy to me I can understand having yum yum sauce but not outright ridding of hibachi mustard. With that said I don’t no if I would return to this place after the downgrade in quality of the meat and not having hibachi mustard.

We love one of the cooks whos extremely entertaining. I keep forgetting his name but hes in the video and makes it fun! The menu is a little pricey but its worth the treat every once in a while. Woman next to us had avocado allergy, they brought her avocado in her sushi and lucky it was caught. Asked for shrimp tempura, never came out. Guys head was in the clouds.Please retrain or replace your wait staff, they could possibly be the worst Ive ever seen, zero attention to details, forgetful, memorably bad.

The service was excellent from entering and exiting the building. I had a small headache from the moment we sat down in the waiting area.. The host treated me with care he made me feel special he got me a glass of water and said add lemon it should decrease the headache. I can say before we ate the pain was gone. I was extremely satisfied with the Chef he was engaging with eye contact from start to finish to ensure that we were happy with his service, he prepared our meal with love, I felt that deeply in my heart it made it more enjoyable he cared for our stomachs. I have no complaints about this Restaurant the food is on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for and it’s worth every penny spent. Also we’re in NEW York…The drinks were delicious not to over powering just the right blend with the dish. The restrooms are a bit small for only two the most perfect private stalls to use to wash up and go no need to hangout. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we’ll be back! 👈🏽I would recommend us going back with more family possibly a birthday party to enjoy the hibachi experience. I ❤️ New York!

Comment: Yummy food! I ordered the karage appetizer and spicy white tuna roll, and my uncle ordered the hibachi combo of filet mignon and shrimp (which I sampled and were delicious). Our chef prepared the steak to his liking and he was quite funny and entertaining. Even though I didn’t order the hibachi, he kindly gave me some fried rice and vegetables (which were so good!) My sushi was good too, and though I liked the karage, I did feel that it wasn’t quite the same as traditional japanese fried chicken. We went on a Friday night and this place was busy. You sit with other people but they do try to keep a chair or so in between you and the other guests. I will say that the place is a bit tight and got loud, which can be fun, but if you are looking for something a little quieter and more spacious, I’d recommend not going at a popular time. Otherwise, it’s a nice place for a birthday or a date. Special note: if it is your birthday, make sure to tell the waiter. They will bring your dessert out with a candle and sing.

Comment: Fantastic establishment, food quality and flavor, very friendly and inviting staff. Got there with my.family late..10 when they close at 11 and they were so inviting and kept telling us take your time as the little one ate. Establishment is clean and trendy. Chef was great..personality, flavor. Waitress and hostess showed so much hospitality. I will be back for sure. We wanted to try something different on the Island and Im glad we did.

Comment: Awesome food, Awesome staff, Awesome atmosphere and awesome location. If you love hibachi this is the place for you. Theyre a bit more pricier than Edos but worth every dime.The staff is friendly and does everything to make you feel valued as a customer. I love the theme, the lighting and authentic Japanese decorations.My only critique is the drinks couldve been a bit stronger. I barely tasted the alcohol. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.

Comment: Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday, loved the chef he was great and so funny!! Food was great too my boyfriend and his brother loved, I didn’t really like the noodles though. Only thing that bothered us was the server, we waited forever to get drinks and even longer for another round of drinks, so instead of ordering more we just went to seafood city. Other than that it was great!

Comment: I loved it here! The staff is really fun and nice. They’re VERY careful with allergies. The only thing I’d keep in mind is that they take a while to get started with the grill but they do have other guest so it’s understandable.

Comment: Came here grouped with family and friends for a birthday, Had a wonderful time. The staff is pleasant, welcoming, and very attentive. Its Mainly a Hibachi place as their tables are centered with a grill. The Hibachi chefs are nice, great, entertaining, and cook great food(atleast my chef did). The place is cozy, restrooms are clean, and theres a separate bar area. I would recommend this place and certainly return.

Comment: Cheff and servers were very friendly and helpful. Fridays and saturdays it gets very crowded, so be aware of that. It’s always fun to come with a group of 5 or more people. They also got a decent size of parking space at the back of the restaurant.

Comment: Great place to eat! They took a little long getting the grill started, I think because it was only two of us and they were waiting on more guests. Though a little pricey for hibachi, it was totally worth it. The food was well seasoned. They didn’t have yum yum sauce but their own garlic sauce which was great. Portion size was good too, we had left overs!

Comment: Owner, chef, hostess, and busboy were great and friendly. The waiters service left much to be desired. The fact that gratuity is automatically added especially when his service wasnt that great was all the reason not to add extra. We tipped everyone else that attended to us. The food was great and the chef was entertaining. Calamari tempura delicious. Good price for a hibachi restaurant.

Comment: This restaurant was the first hibachi I ever went to. It is the best! They have a parking lot. We did not have to wait to be seated. Our cook was a very creative, happy, and talented chef. She put on a great show, we really did enjoy our food. We came here with a big family and the food is not that expensive. We were there as a family celebrating a birthday and shade made it a great experience. The desert option are really great. The bathrooms are very clean. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in City Island.

Comment: Ive eaten here a few times over the years, usually during peak dining hours but most recently during a slow time, shortly after they opened for the day. I was surprised and pleased that they had me and my girlfriend at our own Hibachi grill/table instead of placing us to sit with others which is the norm when they are busy. Our personal chef was entertaining and insisted on our participation during the cooking show.As always the food prepared before us was delicious and well portioned. The price per dish as expected is a bit higher than other typical non-hibachi places because the show is included in the price.Note that they serve sushi as well, though this is not part of the performance. As a sushi person, I ordered only from that part of the menu the last couple times I was here but was not terribly impressed either time. Not bad, but Id stick with and recommend the hibachi going forward.

The service is great and the food is good too.This restaurant is amazing entertainment wise if youre not looking to do the typical wine and dine. Comment: Truthfully, I have had the greatest experience here! It was my first time at Ohana with coworkers and we had such a blast! Our cook was hilarious and was not afraid to participate in his cooking. He would try and aim veggies into your mouth and he never missed. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a quick thrill with AMAZING food made fresh in front of you. If you are visiting from out of town, I highly suggest you come :)
