Comment: I stopped in yesterday for a quick early dinner. The service was excellent. I ordered a miso soup the spicy salmon roll, eel roll and green tea. It was the best spicy salmon roll I’ve ever had! I was pleasantly surprised and disappointed I hadn’t been there before as I live nearby. I’ll be back with friends.

Comment: I walked in, and I was instantly welcomed by a very kind lady. I was given a menu to look over and I ordered the salmon teriyaki lunchbox. It was very yummy. It came with miso soup and a great salad. I struggled a bit because the place is dimly lit but unless you have serious eyesight problems it’s really no problem. I really enjoyed it :)

Comment: I came here with a friend the other day for the first time, and we were both very pleased by how kind and friendly our waitress was. I ordered the Chicken Katsu lunch bento box - the miso soup was a standout, and the Chicken Katsu was also delicious! The price was also quite affordable considering the area. Comment: Oki is always my go to sushi spot. I adore their Happy and Red & White rolls. The crunchies they use are awesome (better than other places). I always order a Kani salad with avocado too which is one of my fav dishes of all time. Creamy and delicious. Nice family owned business. Food is always prepared lighting fast. Love ordering from them!

Comment: Love love love Oki! Jenny has been there for over 10 years and always makes me feel like I am really being catered to. There are other sushi restaurants in the neighborhood, but none feel like home the way Oki does. They are a Sunnyside mainstay and deserving of more than 5 stars. Mushroom soup, sweet potato rolls and ramen, oh my!

Comment: We have eaten here several times over the years when we are visiting family in Queens. I usually order the Nabiaki Udon, which is always good. But this time I tried the Tempura shrimp and vegetable dinner, it comes with salad and miss soup. The Tempura was light and delicious. I recommend this place for Japanese fare.We just returned on new visit to NYC and I thought this time my usual Udon was definitely not up to par. My wife felt the teriyaki chicken lacked taste. It seemed like it had been boiled and sauce added later and not marinated in the sauce. Maybe, this was just an off day.

Comment: I really like this restaurant. Its a very casual, place that still feels like a sit-down restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing. The food is excellent. And the prices are easy on the wallet. With no alcohol I usually spend $15-$16 including a 20% tip for a hot traditional Japanese meal. I live in the neighborhood and eat 2-3 times per month at Oki.

The place has a light, simple decoration, but when you sit down, and you are welcome by the staff, it feels like home. You wanna relax and taste a good sushi, maybe fly in your thoughts, this is the place to be. You can really say small place, means high excellence. I highly recommend this place.

Comment: Oki Japanese is a restaurant you go on a Tuesday night after a hard days work and no motivation to cook at home. Oki has reasonable prices, no wait ever, friendly attentive service, and a peaceful atmosphere. Not a great place for a sushi date unless its with a girl with no potential.I suggest you order the Bento Box! You cannot go wrong by ordering the chicken or beef terriyaki bento box. The price and portions are different for lunch and dinner, dinner slightly more expensive, but with larger portions. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Comment: This is a great place to go to. The food is cheap and you get quite the variety if you get their box specials. The ambience is nice but the decor tends to be a little cheesy/cheap with papers drawn with markers all around the walls. What I am trying to say is the place can increase in decor if they really tried. The service was great and the waitresses were very attentive. The sushi I tried was good but it did not have a fresh taste or feel to it so it was not the best.
