Comment: Staff here is very friendly. I got the chicken katsu bento and it was...just ok. Chicken was perfect, but the rice was super mushy. The miso soup was obviously from a ready mix and had those tiny little completely uniform freeze-dried tofu pieces. Ebi Mayo/rock shrimp was better, but tiny portion. Kani salad had more lettuce than crab and didnt have crunchy panko on top. Theyre also really cheap with the sauces here. Overall itll satisfy your cravings, but dont expect to be blown away. I honestly feel theyre overpriced for the quality served.

Comment: When I was a little boy my parents took me to my first Japanese restaurant & I remember seeing this little old Japanese man doing things in the kitchen that I thought magical! Okinii Japanese Restaurant also makes magic happen in their kitchen! The sushi & hibachi dinner was awesome!

Comment: Food was excellent and came out quickly. The service was nice but a little lacking; we were not asked if we wanted dessert for example. The vibe was definitely chill with nothing loud going on or anything smelling up the place (besides the wonderful aromas of the food), but the seats were old and rickety so it made conversation a bit awkward.

They also have a machine that prepares really good Boba tea in many different flavors, which is especially nice on a hot summer day.

Comment: I usually order California roll with spicy Mayo on top and on the side, if I order on the Google or Grub Hub I’m able to put it in the notes and they always comply. I also get miso soup and put in the notes spicy please, which makes it more flavorful! Not spicy hot, but with flavor. 👍🏼 The last time I picked up, the lady who brought the food out wanted to make sure my soup was made spicy, so she double checked and was very nice & friendly to me. The salad and ginger dressing are delicious too! If you see my edamame photo I added chili lime seasoning at home, it’s sooooo good! I haven’t dined inside, but it looks nice and I like the sweet goldfish in the seating area, but it could use a bit of decoration. I love them. ❤️

As in all restaurants, expect service to be slower during the high traffic days and hours. It seems tabled service is given higher priority, so I call well in advance for takeout (40 minutes). For social gatherings, I take a party try instead of wine. Now its expected of me. I sometimes suspect my invite is just for the great sushi.

Comment: I came here after an interesting discussion with their Twitter account regarding craft beer. While their own beer selection is limited to a few American and a few Japanese brands, I did find that I enjoyed the selection of Japanese beers that I tried. I was here with a couple of friends and between us, we tried several sushi rolls and a bowl of beef Ramen. We enjoyed everything! Speaking for myself, the two rolls I tried (Sunny and Wasabi) were outstanding, especially the Sunny roll. I also had some really delicious green tea ice cream for desert. The decor is really nice and our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Ill definitely be back to try some Ramen for myself, along with more sushi!
