Comment: This is by far not your typical sushi joint!! This is an experience of flavors presented in the most artistic form using the highest quality of products that shocks your palate and sends it on a mouthwatering trip of a lifetime! Yes it expensive, but completely worth every penny. Will definitely recommend to anyone who appreciates food in its finest form!!

Comment: I ordered the 15-piece omakese for two people (so the sushi two-piece photos are because we are two people). Overall, it is great for the area since there arent many or any omakese places. I just recently flew back from Japan, so my taste buds are of higher standards, hence only gave 4 stars. The o toro could be a better quality, but all other pieces are great.

Im honestly so happy that here is the reason I ended up at this restaurant. The reviews are all 100% accurate and really speak volumes about this Omakase restaurant!! Comment: Omg. I was craving for sushi and wifey found a sushi restaurant nearby in Sheepshead Bay. I had doubts because I’ve never had good sushi experience in Brooklyn. Little did I know she found a hidden gem! Walked in and googled this place to find out sushi chef used be at Sushi Nakazawa. Meets if not exceeds Manhattan quality sushi at a very reasonable price. Chef Hiro is very knowledgable and super creative. His work of art not only looks good but taste good. Their Hiro Special Quail Egg Toast is sooooo good I need to order an extra one. Stop by and let Chef Hiro’s creative imagination bring your taste buds to a whole different level.

Comment: Just came from this place, my second time. This is an amazing place, both times were great. Fish is super fresh, the chef puts a lot of detail in each serving. The experience is just phenomenal. I enjoyed this more than sushi Lin, and sushi Lin was great-so that should tell you something. Had the 15 course omikasa special, at the end I was full.

Comment: If you think that only Manhattan has good Omakase, you definitely need to think again! My husband and I went to this place for a date night and it did not disappoint. From the atmosphere to the small talk with the chefs to the actual Omakase, it was perfect! It was well paced and they worked with so much precision. The otoro + truffle sushi, the Hokkaido scallop sushi, the quail egg mixture on toast are just a few of the amazing and creative items for the night. We each ordered the 15 piece Omakase and it was reasonably priced. I will definitely come back again and highly recommend!!!

Comment: This is definitely one of the best Japanese meals weve had in a long time. Although the location is run by Chinese. It was the Wifeys birthday and we took our 6/7 YOs along. The kids loved every single piece they had, all 11 of theirs! They made non spicy variations for our kids. They will only serve omakase for our kids, so beware of you are taking your little ones.Almost every single one of our 13 course was on point. The portions are not big, so be prepared if youre a big eater.The location is tiny, so make a reservation ahead of time. Also parking might be a bit tough, so plan accordingly.It was a bit pricier than our normal meals, but it was a celebration. We might be back for a different special occasion, but not a regular date.

Made a reservation here for my partner’s birthday and we couldn’t be happier with how delicious the whole experience was and how special the staff at Hiro made it feel - shoutout to Tracy for pulling all the stops!Stepping in, we were immediately greeted with a hearty welcome - “irrashaimase!” The interior is cozy and intimate with the just the bar and a handful of tables, rightly intended to focus all our attention on the food and service - as any good omakase would. We ordered the C Set (15 pieces) and it was worth. every. penny. The ingredients are fresh, flavorful, and work sooo well together. You will marvel at how each piece has been carefully crafted, like a miniature work of art and how clean the presentation of each piece is. Each piece is distinct from the next, but still maintains a playful coherence throughout - we had so much fun on one “hands-on” piece in particular ;). As for me, I will definitely be back for more of that delicious wagyu & foie gras which, in my haste to eat it, forgot to take a photo of.Omakase sushi by hiro is a MUST try, especially if you’re in the area - and if you’re not, you should definitely come out of your way to experience all this place has to offer.

Comment: Omg. Hands down the best dining experience of my life. Super fresh, super delicious. Every piece came out looking like a literal jewel or gemstone. Beautiful and simple presentation. The amazing flavors... I never knew sushi could be so delicious. Though a little expensive for a meal and definitely reserved for special occasions, this place is worth every single penny. Dont skimp! Go for the 15 piece set!!! Every bite a masterpiece. I dont have a favorite because theyre all my favorites. The decor and ambiance is cozy and romantic, the music hip and not too loud like most places. The waiter was very informative, sweet, and cute too! Caught him staring and smiling at me and my boyfriend a few times because we were making such faces at how delectable everything was. Honestly it enhanced our experience to know he and the chef enjoyed how much we were enjoying everything!! All in all the most perfect dining experience. It was a perfect anniversary date we will remember for the rest of our lives. Will be going back next month for my birthday!

Comment: 11 Piece Omakase Set - 8/10I found this omakase spot on tik tok and immediately booked a reservation when I saw that it was $68 for the 11 piece set. This restaurant is kind of deep in Brooklyn by Sheepshead Bay, but if you live in the area I think it’s definitely worth checking out!This restaurant definitely is more about showcasing the freshness and quality of the fish. I like places that meld flavors together better, but there were some real standouts in the set. Some of my favorite pieces from the set are sakura trout, shrimp w/snow crab, toro w/ truffle, otoro w/ caviar, and the maki hand roll.

This was pretty much the only location still open around us and they were able to accommodate our last minute 9:00 reservation. Upon arriving we were taken aback by the cozy decor and full house--we seated at the bar; there was room for 3-4 others on the other side of the bar and a few tables right beside the bar.The dining experience was superb, especially as we were able to see the chef compose each piece. We could tell that everything was thought out and executed meticulously. At the end of the meal we were extremely satisfied and did not feel the need for additions to the 15 course option. Im so glad that we discovered this restaurant and looking forward to returning for more!
