Comment: Perfect sushi place in my opinion. Small dining room, so quiet and comfortable. The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The rolls are simple, which I prefer. Not too much rice and very few tempura fried or with cream cheese. Good prices, except the mixed drinks. I recommend avoiding those because they were $$$. I will definitely return.

Comment: I had an absolutely amazing experience at Osaka Sushi in Rhinebeck, NY. The shirashi ($28) I ordered was nothing short of perfection – the fresh and generous assortment of sashimi on a bed of sushi rice was a true delight for my taste buds. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I cant wait to return for another delightful dining experience!

Comment: I love the fish here and to thing...i was going to Kingston before I realized I could get my sushi fix in Rhinebeck!The service is always kind and friendly -- the waitress remembers us and is very gracious.The atmosphere is casual and we always sit at the bar. I recommend it and even to go solo!

Comment: Very good restuarant. Small location that has about 4 tables and 10 seats against the sushi bar where they build the rolls. Staff is friendly and provides very fast service. The food is very fresh and has good flavor. They do a good amount of take out business. Very simple clean menu

Comment: The good:•exceptionally well-priced sushi•mountains of sushi•all of the sushi•did I mention the sushi?•impressively telepathic waitstaffThe not-so-good:•Mai tai needed a little workThis place was a total gem! Very small inside but if we lived in the area, this would be our Friday Night Dinner Spot. The waitstaff weirdly seemed to know exactly what we needed before we asked (that was pretty cool) and the piles of sushi that we ordered at pre-pandemic prices were delicious. I love this place and wish I could have taken the whole restaurant back home with us.

Comment: This little place is my favorite for rolls and sushi. They dont have an extensive menu so what they do offer, is made very well. I tried it for the first time during the pandemic so I could only take out, but I look forward to meeting friends here as it has a very cozy, friendly vibe.

As an Asian/sushi foodie, I was skeptical at first but decided to give Osaka a try. When I got there I noticed that the restaurant was clean, well decorated, and small so that it created a very intimate atmosphere. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the restaurant who was extremely friendly and clearly knowledgeable about sushi. We talked about my sushi addiction and she told me to trust her and shed recommend me some great rolls that Id really enjoy. Lets just say the food WELL exceed my expectations! Specifically, I had the Happy Roll, Spicy Scallop roll, Eel monster roll, Salmon Su, Tuna Su and also got to enjoy some delicious miso soup and green salad. I have enjoyed great sushi in NYC, LA. London, San Fran and Tokyo and I can confidently say that Osaka in Rhineback was some of the best sushi Ive ever had! And To top it off, I even met some of my favorite celebrities while i was at Osaka, Paul Rudd from Clueless and Hilarie Burton from One Tree Hill! I even got to engaged them in conversation while talking to the owner and they both told me that Osaka was truly a Rhinebacks Jem! If you are EVER in Rhineback stopping by Osaka is a must!

Comment: Its nice to find a Japanese restaurant similar to what the experience was 30 years go. Its family friendly as well. The sushi chefs are excellent and had traditional techniques and variety. Hot towels before the meal have been long gone from most restaurants. While there wasnt any particular roll or dish that stood out, the menu was diverse and interesting. The Dashi was savory and had bits of seaweed and that was an interesting change from the usual broth. Saba and Uni were also available and these are generally not found in newer, fast food restaurants. It was a pleasant experience and worth the trip.
