The rolls didnt have descriptions of what was in them on the menu, so we had to find photos of old menus to know what to order. It was definitely worth the cost food wise. However, the specialty rolls are the way to go. Otherwise, the rolls seemed to have very little fish. Hot food was fantastic!

Approx 30+$ per adult, prices go down with ages.Hands down the best sashimi I have had in Rochester. It is a unique atmosphere as well. Before ordering anything in abundance, ensure you just get one and try it first. This is not your normal buffet... you do NOT get out of your seat, everything is served to you via a waiter/waitress. They are quick! They use tech devices to order, so the order is promptly filled. The new menu is via a QR code now - no more paper menus.The reason for 4 stars is, not everything is amazing... Sashimi is, hands down the best. Sushi has no wasabi under the meat, so, was a turn off. Anything that is fried is slightly bland. Tried the tempura, it was good, until I tried the brocolli tempura ~ I recommend DO NOT TRY it. That way you wont waste it. There were some favorites on that menu that were absolutely amazing though, but to each his own... you might like what I didnt.My history: Lived in Japan from 1992 until 2013. Ate Japanese food at numerous locations throughout the country, and know a good meal presented. This place is economical, and filling. I will go back for more Sashimi!

The only down side was someone elses lipstick on my wine glass,and dried old food along the edge of my ice cream bowl. Thank you for replacing the wine glass.I will always recommend Osaka to others. Comment: I love Osaka Sushi and will always recommending bringing people there because I think its a fun time. That being said, I think Osaka Sushi stands out for its side dishes more so than its sushi.All of their appetizers, rice/noodle bowls, and tempura dishes are fun to eat and come in reasonable portions to minimize food waste. I particularly like that you order sides by the count, so if you can only eat one more dumpling, then you can order a single dumpling with no guilt!The stand-out dish for me is actually their fried rice. The rice is toothsome with a salty-sweet taste, and its generally piping hot. It reminds me of the fried sticky rice youd get at dim sum.As for the sushi, I prefer getting sushi instead of the rice bowls, but I think their rice is a bit under-seasoned/can be gummy, and its not easy to distinguish rolls between each other since they all kind of taste the same. That being said, I do enjoy eating loads of sides and proteins along with a roll or two, but this might not justify the price for some. If Osaka Sushi increased the quality of their sushi, I wouldnt mind paying a higher price.

Cheep lunch and reasonable dinner prices for very tasty Japanese food including favorites like the chicken teriyaki roll (thats right, roll) and gyoza that is to die for. The service there starts to run slow the more you order so make sure to get a big first round and always finish off with the icecream! Enjoy!!Edit: this place has gotten a lot more expensive recently (used to be $13 and is now $32 without tax and tip) but the quality has not improved. Not that its bad but something to consider.

For those who are ordering things other than sushi like rice bowls and are then complaining about them cutting corners, I agree its not ideal, but you should be focusing on the sushi or sashimi alone if youre trying to get the best value anyway. Overall while the rice is big so you get filled up faster, if you know what to order and stick to it it is delicious!Service is fast and its a new go-to spot for me when I come by.

I recommend ordering your fried stuff pretty shortly after sitting down because it takes a lot longer than the sushi to be made. Service is okay. They give you time to eat without being bothered but sometimes I wish they came around a little more often. Over all I love coming here because Ive never had something I didnt like, and its so affordable for sushi!

The appetizers were also excellent with one exception: the Udon soup I ordered could have used more salt. The broth was very bland, but perhaps this is because so many of the customers like to salt to their own personal tastes.I highly recommend Osaka sushi as a wonderful place to experience a large variety of dishes full of flavor in a short amount of time.

The main selling point is the $20 all-you-can-eat sushi and its worth a trip here just for that!My only gripes would be that the seating/tables/dividers could use some updating and the menu doesnt have much in the way of ingredients/descriptions. Im not very well versed in sushi and had to Google the names of everything on the menu that peeked my interest. I suppose I couldve asked the waitress but I really didnt want to annoy them with that.That being said, this place is awesome and Ill definitely be returning!

This was our second time eating there and we enjoyed both occasions. The only complaints we have is a lack of a drink menu and the specialty rolls on the all you can eat menu have no descriptions. The servers will gladly tell you what the descriptions are but that seems like a waste of time when it could just be right on the menu.

They have placed a strict rule about all waiting customers to be in the car and not in the restaurant, and I love this rule. It felt safe eating in this restaurant even though there are many people inside eating.As of now, they only serve an all-you-can-eat dinner menu. Also, there is a 75min time limit on all-you-can-eat, but the restaurant doesnt kick you out even if you overstayed eating. Its more about each customer being aware of customers waiting outside so that everyone can enjoy eating.

Comment: This restaurant is amazing! I ate here a couple months ago and everything is made as you order so it’s very fresh. I chose to go when they had dinner all day, which I recommend. The fish is so fresh and they have a great variety of foods that anyone could enjoy. Everything tasted great and the service was perfect. The reason that I’m giving 4 stars is because the special rolls don’t have a description and the waiter didn’t know anything about the menu when i had asked about the rolls. Otherwise, this is the best choice for Japanese cuisine in the area.

Comment: I have been going to Osakas for quite some time. This specific location only in the last year because of where I live. The great part is that the food hasnt differed from one location to the next. I do love that I get fresh sushi rolls and food in an all you can eat platform. The price for dinner (about $25) is well worth it. Lunch menu is doesnt have as much things so I usually go for dinner.If you want good fresh sushi at a good price plus ALL YOU CAN EAT go here!!

Comment: As with most good food joints this place costs what its worth! They have an all you can eat option that saved me some money because I really love sushi. The rolls were really great, they use a robust rice which really makes a couple rolls feel very filling and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. My son enjoyed himself and my parents who are still new to sushi were treated with patience and respect. I will return and look forward to it! Perhaps valentines day.

For an all you can eat, this is a good stop to go if you dont fill up quickly, as their policy follows as long as you can finish it, you dont pay more than what you start with. The food doesnt rival a fancy restaurant, but you absolutely cant beat the deal!! Its the perfect place to introduce someone to sushi for the first time because they have plenty of options and only about half the menu is sushi, the rest has things like dumplings, fried rice, tempura, noodle dishes, etc.

Comment: The food here really good and you cant beat the price for all you can eat sushi. Lunch is usually pretty busy on Saturday so expect a wait if you have a large group. Even once seated the service is usually pretty slow (because sushi is slow to make) but Ive always considered it part of the experience. This is a place you go if you want to sit an hang out with your friends/family/date. Its not a place you go if you want a quick bite to eat.

Comment: Excellent restaurant with an all you can eat sushi deal! Ive been to Osaka in Henrietta twice now, and both times have been a stellar experience. The atmosphere is great (my friends and I sat in an enclosed corner of the restaurant...nice and private), the servers were friendly, and they were very knowledgeable about food allergens. Their all you can eat sushi deal is wonderful! But in order to get sashimi you have to go for dinner, which is considerably more expensive. However it isnt unreasonable, and dessert is included in the price! Overall Ive had a great experience at Osaka and cant wait to go back with friends! Only at lunch this time since the dinner price doesnt make sense for vegetarians 😅

The place is always clean, noce setup, the servers dont talk much (which isnt a point against them, Im introverted so I think its nice) I highly recommend it. College students would love it, but its also nice for dates and birthdays for older ages. Maybe get your cranky relative that wont try anything new to go and live a little.

Comment: I absolutely loved this place. I went for the all you can eat lunch buffet it cost 13.95. Groups of 5 or more they charge 18% gratuity. And you have to eat everything you order or at least 95% of it otherwise they will charge you.I dont eat sushi, so I cant really speak to that. However, everyone I went with really enjoyed all the sushi they ordered. I ordered udom which was good I just didnt like the texture of the noodles. I also ordered fried rice and ALOT of shrimp tempura. Amazing!The portions are kid size portions which in my opinion is okay since everything is unlimited it allows you to try a lot of different things.Dinner is about $22.95. Im not sure if Im willing to pay that however, lunch is definitely worth it.

It had an excellent value compared to other seafood choices such as Red Lobster especially at lunch. The food was all fresh, I had a variety and enjoyed it all. Comment: I arrived at 3:10, and lunch ends at 3:30. I was able to get 11 pieces of sushi and 3 sushi rolls in those 20 minutes, including what I got when they were kind enough to make a last call.Friendly service, good atmosphere, good food. Lunch is a good price, might be a bit much.
