Comment: Honestly great sushi place,for the all you can eat it’s really nice and filling. People complaining about the extra food service charge are too self-entitled, this isnt a typical buffet. Of course they’ll limit your portions to ensure neither you or them comes at a loss in the end of the day. Sushi tasted nice and fresh, udon was nice and flavorful, dumplings were fine too. No complaints over service either.

Comment: This is the best sushi place of NYC. I have tried many places in many cities. Rakuzen hands down has the best fried food menu and sushi menu around. At All the other sushi places the food has an odd taste. Even the fried foods at those places is subpar. They all did have nice staff though and good service i must say. Now as for Rakuzens sushi it really is super fresh and tasty. Each item is distinct. The tuna takai is great. The sexy spicy tuna roll is amazing. The spicy crunch tuna is also a favorite. If you go try their rock shrimp and fried tuna dumplings. As for their service it is good overall. They are so busy so on those super busy days your food takes a bit longer. If you go when its not busy its like they cater only to you. I love thay place and so do many others i see when i am there. The staff is very kind even if sometimes they rush. They cant help it. The place is popular. STILL AMAZING 5 years later. The prices have gone up but you get a lot of food.

Comment: Food is generally good with few exceptions: the fried foods we tried had too much batter and very small meat inside (takoyaki, fried shrimp). Tomyum soup tastes different from typical tomyum soup (pass). Crab in crab rangoon is nonexistent (maybe crab is too expensive). Service was great. Ambience needs improvement although you can see the effort they put in the decor. Price is on the expensive side considering its lunch. We paid $39/person for AYCE sushi/sashimi weekend lunch.

They have a plethora of Japanese small bites that you can choose from such as miso eggplant, takoyaki, rock shrimp.They can also make different types of Asian fried rice from Indonesia, udons, ramens, and different soups.If you are getting buffet, please try the speciality rolls. They also had some without raw fish for those who dont enjoy raw fish such as the Little Hen Roll.What I didnt enjoy as much was that I was asked to finish my remaining food after I was stuffed. I am not one to waste food but I also value my comfort zone for not over eating. We werent charged for any waste but still wish that we could have just got the bill when we asked for it.

Comment: I am not writing this review to tell you what to do with your hard-earned money. I am going to share my thoughts and you make your own decision if you would like to try this place or not. One of the best all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in Queens. The selection of sushi is great, and they all taste delicious. Love their sashimi and soups as well. They also have lunch and dinner bento box options for great prices. Lunch is $12.75 and dinner is $17.50. the place is nice and clean the staff is friendly.

Comment: Wow! 31 bucks for the buffet. Find a parking spot somewhere residential and walk the half mile if needed. Surprised the hot kitchen food was so good, usually its just a fad to have. Noodles and rice come in large dishes so dont fill up on the carb, but its really good. Sushi doesnt pack with rice so its good. You get real big shrimp with your dishes. Dessert not included but the $15 all in is really presentable and good.

Comment: Really good environment in the restaurant, we were immediately seated and given the papers to choose what we wanted to order, the servers were extremely nice and well mannered, I suggest you order as much as you can in one go because it does take a while for the food to arrive, we ordered more than we can eat and didnt expect the pieces to be huge, the shrimp tempura was great, and we had the fried fish cutlet as well it was delicious and not oily. Overall this was a great experience but i think ive had enough sushi for the year😅.

Comment: Okay, if you are looking for some high end sushi place, probably this is not for you. But this is a very affordable, and relatively delicious all you can eat sushi place. They do have conventional list of Sushi and rolls, and many Japanses and not-so Japanese hot dish, also included in the menu. I have been here 4 times and the portion of the susbi varies, so you should order small then add more dishes afterwards. (This is all you can eat, so they dont complain as long as you finish your meal in 90 min without leaving food on the table.) Yes, food is average (some of rolls are acutally pretty good) but you cant find the budget sushi with $30 recently. So probably it will be my go to place when I am extremely hungry and craving for sushi.

Comment: I was starving for a meal and then it hit me why not sushi? So I googled up this place I have passed by many of time but never dropped in. So today was my lucky day and theirs As well as theirs. I was greeted by an attractive semi plus size Asian woman very pleasant. She sat me after I informed her this was my first time here. she explained to me the menu and what it entails. A lot of people seem to get the idea that an all you can eat means that if you leave food on the plate it will just be tossed with no charge but not when dealing with sushi spots. What I dont understand is why people grab up so much food when theres a 2-hour window and you can order right after you finish your first or 3 or 6 maybe even 9th plate. This way the food always remains fresh when you receive it. But people will be people correct? So as you see from the picture I had two Philly rolls some other type of sushi roll. I dont remember what it was but I got to admit it was damn good. I must admit the wasabi was weak very weak It did not have that losing my breath sensation that I usually get I dont know if the ginger was fresh because it was a lot dry Im used to my ginger being a little bit more wet and pungent. The place was clean Even the floor. The table that I sat at was not sticky or no soy sauce on the table as Ive had experience at another spot. The waitresses were pleasant although they did not speak very much just the common English to get by at least the one that I encountered. LET ME WARN YOU ALL THE PARKING AROUND HERE IS HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. SO IF YOU CHOOSE TO DRIVE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK FOR A PARKING LOT OR READ THE SIGNS CAREFULLY. THERE IS A PARKING GARAGE BUT I MUST ADMIT IT IS EXPENSIVE. However I wasnt there to make friends I was there to eat lol. I ordered the rainbow something of another as you see in the picture which was absolutely phenomenal. I will be back in this time Im not bringing my starving stomach I am bringing my empty stomach. I noticed on the outside the rating was an A however I hope they aim for an A+. I know theres not such a cold however it never hurts to improve upon anything. The one thing I can say is I did not like how they kept the bathroom This is the reason why Im rating a four star and not five. The rating is based upon everything not just the food but customer service as well as presentation, decor, and all things in between. The bathroom had a very nauseating odor the floor was scattered with paper towels and the stall to the left was not kept clean. I had to rush through while holding my nose especially after just eating such a great meal. Perhaps on the regular the bathrooms I kept clean is just so happen that I came in during the time in which it wasnt. I dont know but I will return. And I hope to update this to a five-star. Has Arnold would say Ill be back.

Comment: I have frequented this restaurant several times over the years since theyve opened. Its an ok spot if youre looking for all you can eat sushi. Obviously dont order more than you can consume or youll get charged extra. Never had an experience when Ive gotten charged extra. Even when leaving 3-4 pieces of sushi behind I couldnt finish I never was charged extra.Im assuming those who complained about extra charges on the bill probably left an unreasonable amount of food behind justifying the charge. Any way. Never had a problem with staff. Always the right amount of attention. Only had one experience where I ordered chicken tempura and they gave me shrimp, but they changed it no problem. Went not to long ago after several months and was pretty bummed to find out they raised the price of the all you can eat sushi. $27.99 plus the tax and tip is nearly a $40 dollar meal just for one person and thats way too much imo.I understand that costs of things raise due to changes in the economy, but the price is what drove me to go back. Now I cant see myself going back as often due to this. A plate at a decent restaurant in Manhattan is $17-$22 a person. Theres but only such you can eat to justify the new cost. Unless you have a deep stomach to get your moneys worth. Anyway its a nice place to try at least once.

They seated us quickly and checked if we needed anything throughout our lunch. They put our orders in quickly and they came out quickly, though the sushi portion slowed down a bit when the lunch rush hit.The two menu prices are for weekend vs weekday. Even at $30, its well worth it. Ive been served a lot less in quality and quantity for a lot more. The only knock down is that the location is a little sketchy and hard to get to. A homeless person came into the restaurant about halfway through and started begging the customers, but it was dealt with and we didnt have any trouble afterwards. As this is unrelated to the actual restaurant and food, it only knocks it down one star.

The food was fresh and delivered super quick, the waitresses all on point offering refills on beverages as needed. As closing time drew nearer we went order dessert to get it before closing and the waitress told us to finish our food that theyd bring out when we were done. We were one of two parties left and we were not even rushed to close.

Just a heads up, if you go when there is a cold, windy day you will want to sit away from the door as the breeze will get you whenever the door opens. My picky daughter likes eating here, because there is a variety of foods she will even eat. The pork katsu was thin and very crispy. There was a considerable amount of seating in the space so it’s good for groups. It’s also close to the Queens Center Mall and is a good option for a quick lunch.

Its not a regular buffet where you go and pick your own food, they have a sheet with what you can choose and how much you desire. They bring it to you and you begin to eat. Unlimited soda and they carry Pepsi which is a plus!! ( My favorite drink). 17 dollars for lunch 25 for dinner. They have a menu for other items not included which have a separate fee but thats like sake and sweets and several other things I barely looked at. Make sure to pass by it’s worth every penny spent. 👍🏻

I’m glad I decided to give RakuZen a second shot with my sushi-loving sisters’ encouragement. The waiters’ attitude and customer service improved a whole lot and we did not get someone else’s order more than once like in our first visit !I highly recommend Raku Zen All-You-Can eat sushi !!! The food is delicious .. the tempura vegetable, stir fried rice, and udon taste MUCH BETTER than its neighboring Akino sushi buffet and the ambiance, decor, and customer service has certainly upgraded a whole lot within 3 months . Lots of positive reminders on life on the wall and on staff’s faces. Also, the music is not too loud .Adding fried sushi to the menu and more vegan sushi options to the buffet list would be SO COOL too for my vegan friends and my future self!I look foward to visiting soon next month :)

Comment: Wow, Im surprised at how many negative reviews there are from people that dont know how All You Can Eat Sushi works... If you go anywhere in the country (& at least 4 places I know globally, in Tokyo, Venice, London, & Helsinki), All You Can Eat Sushi works the same way; if you cant finish your roll, you have to pay full price for the roll. Itamaes/Sushi chefs do this so you dont just eat & fill up on the fish (like it was sashimi), the expensive part of the meal, & leave the rice to make more room. The restaurant looses money this way & its highly disrespectful. And dont confuse All You Can Eat Sushi with buffet; although its unlimited, they prepare the food just for you instead of it sitting out in hot trays. This is done EVERYWHERE. Just order little by little & youll be fine.That being said, this is a very decent All You Can Eat Sushi restaurant. I really like how they have a variety of tempura/fried sushi, as well as a very large kitchen section within the all you can eat option. They also serve a few dishes from other Asian countries (Korean, Thai, Chinese, etc). You can technically come here, get only kitchen stuff, & no sushi (for those who do not eat fish, if youre maybe going with others who choose to come here for the sushi). Kitchen items, like I said, are vast, and probably have the most kitchen items served from any of the all the other All You Can Eat Sushi places Ive been to (Las Vegas follows). From the kitchen, you can get goyoza, ramen, Udon, chicken teriyaki, katsu, etc... & The options are decent size so you can try a bit of everything. If you get 3 sushi rolls alone, the all you can eat pays for itself already (we easily went way over that). Dessert, if you have room, is about $5, so not bad. If you choose not to do the all you can eat option, they have A La Carte prices as well (aka, full price). Workers were friendly & efficient. & Last but not least, all the food we tried was delicious!!!! Highly recommend, & definitely will be back!!!

The pad thai noodles and miso salmon are very tasty. Also ordered a bunch of sushi rolls and sashimi. The was 8 of us and the appetizer portions were small, so we kept ordering more of the ones we liked. Did not get to try the spicy kani salad, but will do so next time i visit.

Recommend the short ribs, yakitori, and scallop sashimi. Even woth the limit kn sashimi apetizer, we has plenty of choices to eat. Also like that they have uni sushi, thats not easy to find in queens. Lunch didnt have as many choices, was disappointed. Also, dont eat the pad thai, its not even close to being pad thai, disappointing.

When I came here, their tuna was on the less fatty side, and their salmon was pretty good. I dont think its the freshest fish Ive ever had in my life, but its also not stale. Service aint the best, but it isnt terrible either. Overall exceeded my expectations for 15.99 pp. Id come back when I get a sushi craving again.Oh, and for 15.99 you also get free soda. You dont get free desserts, but most sit-down AYCE sushi places also dont have free desserts. At least, the ones Ive been to.
