Comment: A high end steak house, prices start at $20 per salad up to $100 for prime rib or lobster.Service was professional (only male waiters) they could not split the bill between the 5 members in our group.I ordered a salad was mixed greens strawberries and pecans. I asked for vinaigrette on the side (was very thick could not be poured easily) octopus was fantastic with a spicy sauce leaving you wanting more!Overall very fancy location and presentation. Comment: This place is RIGHT across from my job. Ive seen almost all great reviews here, & the parent company also owns others such as Insignia, which Ive heard a LOT of good about. I was optimistic.I got a reservation for 1/21 for me and my partner, and was running a bit behind schedule; the attendant was able to accommodate. The Valet was a great touch and the worker was appropriate, professional and courteous.We opted for the Sunday special, which is a 3-course meal (starts at $55/person) and let you pick one entree, with two appetizers, sides, and deserts.The appetizers (I got the Lobster Croquett and my partner got the Lobster Bisque) were fantastic. The croquettes were delicious; great crust and flavor. The bisque was a bit lighter on the flavor, and tasted lighter than Im used to. It didnt feel heavy in the stomach and the chunks of lobster were great. No complaints.We picked the fillet mignon and lobster entree. We were worried for a moment that at $70/person if we were getting enough food, but that was a foolish question. We got 6 slices of the fillet mignon in a gravy, and a deliciously sweet steak sauce for it, that includes some simple ingredients (and a few other ingredients they didnt disclose; I believe it was a manager I spoke with); for me, I like sweet and salty/savory, and my goodness, this was an amazing blend. The meat, cooked to medium was tender, had a great crust, and was the perfect temperature. Not too hot or cold. The lobster was equally delicious, giving us lemon and clarified butter. It was tender, not chewy/rubbery and not underdone either. Perfect bite.For the sides, we got the baked potato and creamed spinach - both were really good and cooked amazingly. The baked potatoes came with sour cream and butter, and complimented the potato well.For desert, My partner got the Sorbet which was a great fruity and tart end to the meal. I got the creme brulee, which was nice and rich, without feeling too heavy. The caramelized sugar on top had a perfect crunch, and the strawberries had enough acidity and flavor to give a nice break from the richness of the rest of the dish.Service wise.... they were great! I often drink a LOT of water with my meals. I barely managed to get the glass down to 1/4 before someone came by and just filled it up again. That made me very happy. The two alcoholic drinks we ordered were delicious, and had came out faster than any restaurant Ive been to in my life. I didnt even realized when they set the drinks on the table while I was talking with the servers, who were a pair - the entire night, they checked in with us periodically without being overwhelming, and only once it got busy did I feel one moment of looking around for the server; and I didnt wait long. No complaints here.Atmosphere-wise... the place is beautiful. We went further back where it was a room that was all glass windows and the roof as well; made me think of a greenhouse. That said, I had expected it to be chilly; it was perfectly temperature controlled, and my partner who is sensitive to cold felt very comfortable. If I had to give this a number grade? 10/10.All in all, this place has great staff, great food, and a great atmosphere. Both of us left very full and satisfied, and we actually took a little bit of food home! Like I said above, foolish to even wonder if we were going to be hungry.That said, this is a steakhouse. Actual steakhouses are generally going to be expensive. Like $60-$80 a person expensive. Like, your bill after tips for two people will probably be $150-$200. If you want something cheaper, look into Boulder Creek or Outback Steakhouse (which despite being a steakhouse in name, I consider it on par with places like Applebees, Chilis, etc - not bad by any stretch but not really a steakhouse). Be aware of this if picking Rare650, and be ready for a treat if you settle on this place!

Comment: I attended a wedding recently. The cocktail hour was in one room and then the main course was in the glass Conservatory. This room was beautiful with tropical plants and in the evening you can see the stars above. The food was exceptional and the seafood was excellent. The service was very good and attentive. We were a venue of 70 people and fit comfortably in the room. We had a band and a small dance floor in the middle with 70 people. The drinks were good and a little strong if you prefer that. A beautiful venue location. Prices vary for venues but average 200 a person.

First time visiting and the meal was one of the best I had in 2023. the Ribeye was perfectly cooked with great marbling. the Butter enhancement certainly enhanced already great flavor. Appetizers were delicious. We tried the grilled spanish octopus, mussels, and shrimp cocktail. All of which were perfect. Only reason i’m giving 4 stars was the service wasn’t excellent. we got there before a dinner rush and it took a while for a waiter to come over (had to ask for our server after about 10 minutes). Also, the parking situation is a S-show. it’s only valet and the line to get in was down the road of jericho turnpike

The lighting is not the best for pictures but the decor is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the Wagyu steak special and the creamed spinach. The steak was prepared, perfect temperature and seasoned. The lamb chops has a lot of potential with some salt and pepper. The calamari was great. I would definitely go back.

From the drinks, to the shrimp appetizer with olives and hummus, our entrees, my husband had salmon and I had the ribeye, and the banana bread and ice cream for dessert, we could not go wrong in this wonderful place.However, one of the most overlooked parts of a restaurant are the people who work there. How you’re treated can make or break an experience. For us, the service at this restaurant was better than most. Hannan at the valet was kind as he greeted us before we even got our cars. Our servers, Michele and Nor, took extra care of us throughout our dinner. But Cliff, the general manager, made our night complete. He went above and beyond to make us feel special as we celebrated our day.I’m so glad we chose to go to Rare650 and I’m excited for our next visit.

Comment: We want to thank the general manager, Cliff, and his staff for giving me and my friends and unbelievable dining experience before I get married on Thursday. His team of Chris, Albert and Cindy made 15 regular guys feel like gentleman for an evening.He directed us to two bartenders, Natalie and Sarkis, and made sure we were attended to while we waited for all of our guests to arrive. The Cocktails were phenomenal as well as the conversation and service. Natalie has a laugh that is contagious.As soon as we sat down it was like we were kings. Our servers, Lisa and Dennis, never left our side. My dad was amazed on how they could remember all those Specials without looking at the book. The sushi and apps were perfect and I never had a ribeye hit a temperature like that. The Chef Ceaser, even came to the table to introduce himself. That was a very nice touch.We cant that Cliff enough. That was an experience I will never forget!!!

From the moment walking in the manager Chris went above and beyond to insure it would be an experience not to be forgotten.The steaks were beyond compare. The surf and turf was out of this world. The food was absolutely mind blowing.Where Rare 650 really excels is truly the service. Their staff is completely focused on customer service. We had the pleasure of having Jason and Dennis as our servers. When I say absolutely amazing! What was so impressive not only their attentiveness to detail and customer satisfaction was their level of escalating the experience. They both focused on my 14 year old son that made him feel like he was King of the World I don’t think any other steak house would go to that level. I can not thank Jason and Dennis enough for that. Not to mention having the manager Chris visiting the table to be certain everything was to the level and standard of a true fine dining experience. It was also quite impressive seeing Chris visit every table through out the night.I truly can not give enough thanks to not only the manager Chris and servers Dennis and Jason enough. Truly absolute professionals and a staff to be proud of Mr Scotto. I can not see going anywhere else.

Comment: Extremely nice decor. Nice bar area with a wide selection of both mixed drinks as well as a very large selection of very special wines and champagne. One of the members had a maple smoked old fashioned drink. Very nice presentation. I tried a tiny bit I thought it would be sweeter with the maple flavoring but it was very nice and it added to the smokey flavor. Appetizers were very delicious. I had mozzarella with fresh tomato with something drizzled over the top. Nice flavor. One of the people with me had a tomahawk steak. They said it was cooked perfectly. I had the Baymans s Pasta. The fresh lemon pepper linguine was homemade, nothing like I had ever tasted before as well as a much nicer texture than store-bought. One member had the glazed New Zealand lamb chop. Presentation was very nice and she said it was very good. Multiple people shared different sushi and it was very fresh. Two different types of fresh salad that were really good. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out some donuts drizzled with I believe it was caramel and was topped with two different types of chocolate, white and milk chocolate. Overall a great experience. Slightly disappointed on two counts. The first was we had to ask multiple times during the meal for empty dishes to be removed so that the next plate of food could be brought in and placed on the table. Secondly, the waiter knocked over a full drink on a guest at our table on his brand new white shirt and black pants. Not much was said about it which is disappointing. Other than that it was a very very nice experience.

The food was amazing as expected. Service was outstanding. However this is why I will make rare650 one of my go to spots moving on. We paid and didn’t realize our bill didn’t have the bottle of wine as half off (on Wednesday it is depending on $). I had gotten a message on my phone from one of the managers an hour after we left saying they didn’t take half off the bottle and told me they are going to take care of it and I will see it refunded on my card. They could of easily not of said anything, and we wouldn’t of noticed. However they didn’t, it’s refreshing to see a restaurant being honest. A true class act, will definitely be back.

Amanda recommended this awesome drink called “Route 135”. It was delicious and the presentation was outstanding! Amanda was beyond accommodating to my daughter’s gluten allergy and made sure everything came out right. She also went out of her way to ask the chef if he can make me a dragon roll that was not on the menu. All the food came out delicious and hot with excellent presentation. Comment: Ive recently dined at Rare650, and Im thrilled to share my experience! Ive been to my fair share of steakhouses, but Rare650 is now one of my absolute favorites!The staff was on point, and I appreciated how knowledgeable they were about the menu. I started with the lobster bisque soup, and oh my, it was divine! The porterhouse was cooked to perfection, and I have to say, it was one of the best Ive ever had. Im usually not a fan of creamed spinach, but the chefs recipe was a game-changer!The sides were all delicious, and my server recommended a wine that paired so well with my meal. I finished with a warm apple pie, and Im still dreaming about it! The atmosphere was elegant and sophisticated, and I felt very pampered throughout the entire evening. Overall, Rare650 is the real deal, and Ill be returning soon!

For dinner we had the NY strip steak, I had the skirt steak with the Asian chimichuri and a side of crispy brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. From start to finish the food was delicious. As far as our service :-/ our waiter was inattentive, didn’t introduce himself nor ask us what we wanted to drink. We had to call over other staff members to get a hold of him a few times and quite frankly felt like he mentally had checked out. Above all, we made the most of it and enjoyed our visit.

Comment: We went here for my wife’s birthday. Impeccable service from the minute we walked in. The surf and turf, filet mignon and lobster tail were perfect. They threw in complimentary birthday donuts to finish the meal, which was a nice touch. Our servers, Kim and Matty were extremely attentive, as was the Maitre D. Even the busboy, Nelson, was a pleasure. He came over, thanked us for coming and spent a few moments exchanging pleasantries under the pleasant tree in the greenhouse like dining area. She was friendly, well-presented, and keep track with us. Our male is ok, but sometimes he made us felt hes in a rush. Generally, were satisfied.The food we ordered were delicious, compared to the last family dinner at Teller. We order rolls, appetizers, steaks, chicken and scallops. We noticed lots of table ordering donuts, but we didnt find it in the menu. Im suprised its a hidden item.I am giving four stars is because of the flavor of the our Porter house steak. Its looked very nice, medium rare, no over salty and we liked it. However, it seemed less beefy flavor. Thats the meat quality not because of the cook. For starters, the decor and ambiance is what sold me at first site. The food and service was just as good! If you’re planning to come here and not sure on what to order no worries, the waiters take their time and explain each thing. It’s true that the waiters are very attentive and assist whenever needed. We were greeted by the manager Cliff who made my partner and I night exceed our expectations. If you dont order anything at all, get the chocolate cake. Im not a fan of sweet but it was utterly delicious and I couldnt stop eating it.I would definitely visit again to try the sushi.Fyi. My friend is trying to get me to eat sushi, so we ordered the rare650 rolls and crispy rice, which were DELICIOUS! We also split mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, and wagyu steak (medium rare). Everything was cooked to PERFECTION! And their drinks?!?!? So good! The presentation of the maple smoked old fashion was very cool.

Comment: After seeing a video on TikTok about Rare650, I was sold. I thought this would be a great place to bring my mom for her birthday dinner. The restaurant was beautiful! We sat in the conservatory and I definitely did not feel like I was in New York! Its the perfect spot to feel as if youre on a vacation but youre not too far from home. The staff was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I havent interacted with such a friendly staff in a long time. Cliff, the manager, came to every table to make sure we were satisfied and he also interacted with us which made the experience more delightful. I must say the crab cake was to die for AND the steak was perfect! Also, if you dont get those doughnuts- YOU ARE MISSING OUT.

Comment: Wonder experience! Matty was our waiter for my birthday and he was absolutely amazing. He offered great recommendations for food and drinks. Beyond polite and friendly. The food and drinks were amazing to begin with, but because of Matty’s great service, everything was 10x times better. I recommend the no. 9 and rare650 special sushi, and definitely have to try the lobster Mac & Cheese. I had a filet steak, and the cream spinach is to die for. I had such an amazing birthday. Comment: First time here and I was not disappointed. Came here with a total of 7 people and we had an amazing time. The crowed at the restaurant was great. Kids and adults were here and it was still a very elegant and classy place. The staff was very nice, friendly and informative. We had a big array of food choices for all palettes. The sushi, burrata, tuna tacos, and all the other apps where phenomenal. The steaks were cooked to perfection but the burger meat was not seasoned and the massive lobster tail we had (wow it was impressive) was overcooked. Comment: My overall experience for my first time dining here and for my Birthday was a 4, but our waitress Lisa was 5 starts worthy! I simply struck luck and couldn’t have asked for an overall better waitress who was more enthusiastic, helpful and overall of quality such as Lisa. The interior ambiance was a nice change of pace from Insignia, but the outside reminded me of going to Insignia; from the overall aesthetics too the valet company. However, the food was impeccable; all of it from our appetizers, entrees and desserts. In addition too that; the wine Lisa suggested was delicious and my party and I gladly ordered it by the bottle. Lisa/management was lovely for the complimentary dessert on the house and I appreciated the GM coming over and exchanging pleasantries with my party and I. However, there were a couple of waiters who I was made to feel I comfortable by; one very short with black hair and a dark olive complexion and the other slightly taller with brown/red-ish hair that was styled up and had a fair-ish complexion. I’m 100% certain that I caught them exchanging insults about how I command the room when I walk into it and although effortlessly; everyone stops and stares. Although, there’s a difference between those who can appreciate greatness and others who are simply intimidated by it. Confidence is key and I pity those who lack it and especially those who are so insecure with themselves that they have to group together with other weak/minded people in order to exchange remarks about someone; that someone being a paying customer on their Birthday of all days. Overall, this is what made it a 4 star experience as opposed to a 5. Thank you again Lisa for waiting on my party and I and for both your professionalism and pleasantness.

Comment: My experience at Rare650 was excellent! My girlfriend, D, surprised me by taking me to the restaurant for the first time for my birthday and overall it was a memorable experience. The wait staff, drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all very good. The manager, Cliff was very attentive and hospitable and added to the positive experience we had at Rare650. I intend to go back again to try other things on the menu. We had the calamari/shrimp, lobster, and rib eye steak. We had the donuts for dessert and everything I mentioned is worth a try. When we got to our table we were unsure of where we were placed because we felt a but chilly but we asked to be moved inside and they had no problem with the request even though we were a party of 9. In any event once the birthday girl arrived she loved the seating and we decided to stay.Id like to mention Cliff who was very hospitable and made us feel like family. We had some special requests and he had no problem obliging 🙂 he returned during various points during the evening and took effort to ask each of us our names and remembered through the night! Comment: Good and atmosphere were, largely, fantastic. Here for a work related dinner and my filet mignon was cooked to perfection ! The creamed spinach was delicious as well; the mashed potatoes, not so much. I wanted to love the chocolate mousse cake and the mousse part with the caramel drizzle was terrific, however, the cake was rather dry in my opinion.We had a nice private area by the huge vertical wine cellar on the second floor, it was just somewhat awkward with the wine steward walking in and out during our presentation. Not what I expected of this type of restaurant.

We ordered a sushi roll by mistake not realizing it was raw fish I only like cooked & within a minutes the manager Cliff came to our table offering to switch the dish out for something else we ended up not ordering anything else and they removed it from the bill anyways and gave us a complimentary birthday cake for my husband. This place aims to please and cares deeply for their guests. The porter house steak was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. We will be back soon!

My bf and I came here to celebrate my birthday and decided on the filet and lobster special which is out of this world. We added the crab cake for an appetizer along with 2 spicy tuna rolls that came with the special. The crab and tuna was the freshest we have had in a while with great flavoring. We then split the 16oz filet and 2 lb lobster that was to die for. The steak was so tender and perfectly cut that you could cut it with a fork. The lobster was perfectly done and very tender as well. We had the sweet potato mash and creamed spinach that were absolutely delicious! We were so full that we decided to take our 2 slices of cheesecake that came with the special home.To our surprise, our fantastic waiters, Mario, Vincent, and Anthony must have took a note and surprised me with 2 fresh and fantastic donuts on the house and even sang happy birthday (not too loudly and I was beyond greateful for that LOL). I have to say that this trio of waiters was exceptionally amazing. All three worked in unison and were super attentive, inviting, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. All 3 continuously checked up on us and made sure that we had a perfect experience. Rare always has great service, but this trio went above and beyond and Id like to thank Rare and Mario, Vincent, and Anthony for making this an absolutely fantastic birthday!I highly, highly recommend Rare650! I promise, you will not be disappointed!

First and foremost, the food was good however like some other have stated Id had better steaks however these were pretty good. The apps are pretty regular for what we had.. just tuna rolls and calamari and shrimp. I had two glasses of wine and were each had a steak and sides. He had the 26 ounce rib and I had a filet. Were shared the mash and cream spinach. So yes we were very satisfied. The service however could have been a bit better. We had a senior waitress whom was very hospitable knowledgeable made good recommendations and was good and a more novice waitress, seemed as if she wasnt knowledgable about anything, she kept having to ask other people what things were. And over all the service seemed to lag a bit. What should have been about an hr visit seemed to go on and on smh. The price was pretty reasonable the check came to 247 for the both of us.. more than outthey steak houses where been to. Would I go back, probably not for a while. On the upside, the place was beautiful amazing decor, great wine, great cocktails, great date aka my boo boo!!p

Comment: This place has great ambiance. Its very nicely maintained. The outside garden area that is enclosed makes you feel like youre outside but still protected from the elements. Very sunny when we went there. And it was semi-private for our event. The waiters were phenomenal. Very attentive and polite and accommodating (even with our family and kids moving around a little). The food was delicious! Even though a few people got medium well food when they ordered medium rare, the waiters fixed it for us. (This and the minimum we had the meet really were the only differences in my mind for the 4star vs. 5star experience) There was a great kids menu and even their food was tasty. We had a prefixe menú, but we were able to order off the menu (they had a minimum price to meet and some of our people didnt show up).

Comment: Was brought here for my birthday. We got the porterhouse for two, lobster mac and cheese, and brussel sprout hash. We also got some grilled octopus and sushi for appetizers. Everything was great, besides the octopus which was a bit tough, but that did not take away from this meal at all. Got a nice candle in a cake at the end. Would definitely be back here.
