Comment: Just moved to Staten Island recently, our family was craving for some nice and fresh sushi and Asian cuisine. I’m glad we went to red apple, they have a very big menu with variety of choice . The place is newly renovated and cleaned. The sushi and sashimi is super fresh and delicious. The salmon sashimi melted in my mouth the moment I put it in. My kids love their wings and nugget. The place gets pretty busy during the dinner time. Highly recommended

Comment: They did a lot of remodeling so the place looks very chic now as opposed to when it was a bit more humble when I first started going there. (I went there over a decade ago). But throughout the years, their food has always been very good quality and their service is incredibly polite. So theyd leveled up a lot in the years that theyve been around, but you could always expect some great food and great service.

Comment: Arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing and gentlemen warned us he was closing soon. We said we would eat quick and leave. He seated us and we ordered the Mongolian beef (not spicy) and the house fried rice. The Mongolian beef was delicious and the portion was fair for the price. The house fried rice was good. Everything was hot and fresh. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. We would definitely come back.

Comment: Sushi is always great, food is ok, ex. the sesame chicken or general taos is basically just fried batter with specks of chicken, tastes fine but i’ve had the same things from other restaurants that are thick juicy pieces of chicken with just enough coating for flavoring, these items from here remind me of strip mall pop up chinese in less than desirable areas where there isn’t much available, a last option. I like the place, but some improvement on these and other items is necessary, hope they read these.

Comment: Delicious food, and always fast delivery! The woman who takes orders via phone is very nice as well. Their vegetarian options are A+ and the vegetable fried rice is always fresh and tasty. Definitely a place to try. Good sushi rolls too.

Comment: The sushi here is amazing I highly recommend it to everybody.Edit: The food is still good but they took out the sushi buffet so it was a lot more expensive then all the other times we used to go. The bubble tea was a little watered down too. Since they took out our favorite thing we most likely wont be going back anymore. I wouldnt suggest going unless you have the extra money to spend. We used to spend $60-$80 for my family of four and last night we spent about double that. The service was great but the pricing is really just too much.

Comment: I have been eating at red apple since I was a teenager going to New Dorp High Scool. The $15 all you can eat sushi was part of my daily commute home and gave me some quiet time and a place to do my homework. The sushi has always been excellent, the Chinese food is equally good and always consistent. Having moved to the mid west I can not find any Chinese restaurants or sushi restaurants that come close. Anytime I’m in town I always try to stop by for another visit. Happy to see this local business has not only thrived for so long but also survived the covid pandemic. After 17 years I’m still a repeat customer and I’m sure you will be too if you give them a chance!

Comment: I think my biggest regret here is that I didn’t take the time to take more photos! There’s a great variety of foods here, and I have loved everything I tried - even the things I tried just to test myself, so to speak (lookin at you, Salmon Skin Salad). We’ve come here several times now, and each time we have eaten in, we’ve done that all you can eat sushi. At dinner time, you get a few extra roll types added to the selection, but for just $15.95 at lunchtime you still get an amazing set of choices! The staff is super friendly, and will give you “child-friendly” chopsticks without judging you! (I used them today to test them, and was a fan, but prefer regular.)I have also ordered delivery from them before, and have never been disappointed.

Comment: TO GO AYCE in Staten Island. The food is slightly above average. WHEN it is mango season (SUMMER), I would personally suggest getting anything mango on the menu. When mango is in season their, mango kani salad, mango sushi rolls, and mango salad is amazing. Miso Soup is hot and freshly made. Hot and Sour soup is nice and tangy however it is a hit or miss. Their avocado they use are really fresh and soft. However their lettuce are also hit or miss. Sometimes there are bruising on the leaves and something they are straight up not fresh.Their onion rings does not have much onion flavors, I would skip that.$19.99 for dinner. Great place for their price.

Comment: I’ve ordered from red apple maybe 15 times total. I like to get their bubble tea. I normally order sushi, fried rice and chicken wings. I think the sushi is a bit pricey but it’s about average price of all other places now. I’ve never had a problem with their food but the delivery takes forever sometimes, especially at night.

The beef and broccoli or general tso or lo mein trays we order always arrive to us quickly (usually 15 to 20 minutes) and still hot. The prices are decent considering how much food we order. the staff is very friendly and courteous every time i walk in to pick up orders. One of the best chinese food restaurants i know. all the really good ones in the basements of Mott and Christopher st in manhattan are all closed and gone forever
