Comment: YUMMY, FAST service. We ate here for lunxh, and had avout 45 minutes to order and eat. This restaurant is Great for a quick Sushi lunch. They have Bento boxes and Sushi specials, but you can order special rolls, and items that arent on the lunch menu.I had a special order roll, and tempura.Everyone gets miso soup, salad, and tea...even if you dont order the bento box/lunch specials.Very good sushi in Astoria, Queens NYC.

Comment: The tortilla chips with sashimi topping was delicious and creative. The vegetable spring rolls were basic in taste, and their black margarita was enticing and satisfying. I tried several other dishes and drinks on their night menu (seem to be a bit different from their online menu) and they were also overall satisfying. However, the place was posing to have an upscale ambiance to it (went on a Friday evening) so although the food and drinks was overall satisfying, the portions were a bit minimal. There werent many people there the night we went as well. However, regardless the lacj of people there my party and I had a great time as the staff was very accommodating and attentive to our requests. They also were generous and gave our party a sample of a new drink concoction their bartender made. They also had a live jazz duet who played very well and catered to the great atmosphere. Overall, it was a very well-rounded night at Rice K with the food, drinks, service, staff and entertainment.

Comment: We came here for date night. The pineapple shrimp fried rice and the hibachi shrimp were sumptuous. The server Ricky was very attentive and prompt. And the food was brought rather quickly and sizzling hot. The cherry on top was the excellent ambience and the green tea that Ricky recommended. Its a little pricey but evens out with the value for money. I would definitely recommend it for date night or nice place to unwind.

I feel like the food is better since I first tried it a couple of years ago.We were offered free cocktails (house specialty drinks- unique, nothing too unique, but refreshing) as well as a free sushi appetizer. The menu was diverse, not overwhelming, and very inexpensive relative to nearby sushi restaurants. I felt their specialty rolls were very well designed, in contrast to some sushi restaurants that I felt have just thrown ingredients together for their menu.I thought the service felt slightly impersonal, but certainly attentive. Maybe it was just me, as the rest of my party didnt seem to notice. Regardless, it wasnt anything that even slightly affected my experience, but I figured Id note.In short, it looks great inside, their menu will satisfy any sushi craving, the food quality is awesome, and the low price is an extra bonus.

Comment: If you sit at the Sushi Bar you will see how much they care about their food. The presentation is lovely and it is obvious they are proud of their work. What is different about this place is that the Chinese food is just as good as the Japanese, so it is great if you go with a crowd, because everyone can find something on the menu they love. Dinosaur roll is really good, as is the Fire Mountain... Reasonable, high quality food, and lots of variety. Whats not to love? As for why not an excellent rating on food? Seriously reserve that for foodie kind of places. The quality here is quite good.
