We went for the all you can eat dinner and everything, the appetizer-type foods, the soup, the sushi, sashimi, sushi rolls, all if it was perfect. We will certainly be returning!

Comment: Ordered ramen for takeout and everything was so fresh and flavorful, they kept the broth and ramen separate and made it very easy to just pour the broth in and eat, broth also cooked spinach and mushrooms which was an awesome touch. Dumplings were delicious as well, and the lady working the front desk was so nice and funny. Definitely planning on returning.

Comment: Decided to check this place out and not only did we get incredible, beyond reasonably priced food, but a cozy atmosphere and a charming host! Ordered two Ramen dishes to go and they split up the broth and components so it wouldnt get mushy before you wanted it! So incredible. And they put the to go order in a reusable bag; super useful! Will definitely be going back.

Comment: If you come here go the all you can eat route. Its cheaper and they give you smaller portions of what you order. For all you can eat you have a 2 hour time limit for almost $27 per person. The Takoyaki was amazing and the same can be said of the five roll I had ordered in a party of two. Spent just over $100 in a party of two ... So I personally recommend the AYCE ( All You Can Eat) option instead of going ala carte like we had.

Comment: In Albany, and decided to try Ruby City. Little did we know that not only great food awaited but the charm and hospitality of Yuki as well. Yuki served us delicious food and showered us with warmth and unmatched conviviality. Scrumptious rolls and ramen sated my appetite, and Yuki provided her own gracious humor and personality. Comment: I went to Ruby City for the first time last night and just wanna say right up front, its a 10/10.The all-you-can-eat option is very fairly priced and they certainly deliver on that promise. The menu has a ton of options and the sushi/sashimi was fresh and delicious. The hostess, Yuki, was great and made us feel welcome immediately. Its BYOB, which is a cool option to have (theres a corner store and a liquor store within a block or so if you forget to bring something with you as well.)At the end of dinner, our group was like, can we make this a regular thing?Again, 10/10, would highly recommend, will definitely be back.

Comment: Everything was very fresh and tasty. The Takoyaki was crispy outside, with the soft interior and chewy octopus. Presentation was great, and watching the Bonito flakes dance over the fresh Takoyaki is reason enough to check them out! All you can eat sushi, and we tried almost everything on the sushi menu. It was all fantastic!

I get any of their dishes that have tofu in it because Ruby’s is the one spot where I feel like I get can great vegetarian options without losing a lot of flavor. They’re good is always so fresh and their service is always so sweet. I had no idea they were closed for the summer months and every week my friends and I look online to see when they’re coming back. No worries! I’ll be waiting, and I’m sure I’m not alone in missing their delicious food!

Comment: Just keep in mind that Ruby runs late... about 30 minutes (sometimes 45-60min) late at night. They’re a small outfit stubbornly churning out high quality dishes in the minefield of Albany Chinese food. Set your expectations as waiting for quality rather than “having your time wasted” and the rest will be fine. Food is great, fresh, affordable, consistent, good variety. Seafood is fresh and hand-cleaned, sushi is excellent, bubble teas and slushies are awesome, hibachi is good.

I usually get pineapple fried rice (comes IN a pineapple) and a lunch bento box with mango chicken or pineapple chicken. Their wings are delicious. Their rolls? Crispy. The teriyaki beef sticks??? The have tables for 2, 4, and more, and there is a more private area so if you went with a few friends you could have a more intimate lunch or dinner experience! You could even sit right by the sushi bar. I love the decor, very authentic and they have lots of plants! It surprises me every time how quickly the food comes out because it is all so delicious. They give you such large portions you wont go home hungry. Everything seems to be made in house. Their bento boxes and lunch specials are wonderful, and try their summer rolls, we have to order one for each of us every time we go! Their wonton soup is some of the best over ever had, I just wish they filled quarts for take out! (Now I want rubys!)

Comment: My favorite place to get shrimp tempura and California roll. A lot of their appetizers are good too. Its best to opt for delivery in my opinion. They are always friendly at the door and I have never heard a rude word from them.

Comment: I like their Spicy Rock Shrimp bento box and Salmon Teriyaki bento box.The place is designed somewhat like a Japanese or ancient asian place. And they also offer sake.

Comment: I went for lunch and had the bento box with eel for $7.00 that had three eel sushi pieces, dumplings a sushi roll and a large scoop of white rice. I added miso soup and a lettuce salad for $.50 each. That is a great lunch price! Everything was good, but I was little puzzled at the scoop of rice in the bento box. I will go back to taste my way through more of the menu largely because this is one of the most handsome restaurants in the Capital District. What great decor for enjoying a meal!
