Comment: My friends decided to make a formal meeting at one hotspot rumored to be one of the best Japanese restaurants in New Rochelle. Sakana sounds so good to my ears, so we as an entrepreneurial company went to collaborate and dine. The restaurant is fabulous and well-designed, with deep, sensual blues and purples setting the mood for a chill relaxation. Waiting for the food was easy with the friendly waitress, and I enjoy the customs I use to respond to her polite service. The food was spectacular in both view and flavor. The Bento Box felt like a sweet assortment of sushi and seasoned meat, like choosing delicacy from a box of chocolates. The well-done Beef Negimaki was bite-friendly, and enjoyed the sauce that complemented the sautéed onions. I have to thank my friend for covering the modest costs of this meeting. I am satisfied with the price, given that there are five of us ordering to our hearts’ content. Each of us would have contributed 35 for our respective dishes. I have paid more than that price in other restaurants with three guests including myself. I love Sakana, and I would go back to have a customary relaxation with my friends and family.

Comment: LOVE this place!With all the great sushi restaurants in the Westchester area theres really no reason to go to a place unless you love it. Ive been to this place now about a half-dozen times and every time has been thoroughly enjoyed. I think a big reason is that the owner is also the chef so he is Hands-On and knows exactly what the customer likes and has direct feedback. Sushi is extremely fresh and if youre into brown rice which I am its actually better and the most tastiest brown rice Ive ever had. Bottom line its better than all the other restaurants on Mamaroneck Avenue and I think thats saying a lot.

Comment: Tonight was my first time here and I left asking myself why havent I ever been here before! The service was very attentive and the food was delicious! The passion roll was incredibly fresh and well balanced. My steak hibachi was a little over cooked, but every bite was fought for by my wife and I lol. Hibatchi rice was simple, but cravable and the spicy tuna roll was perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant and will go back again soon.

Comment: What a great pick. I dont know what else I could have asked for. The food was perfect, the waitresses were polite, and the food was near perfect. I even tried their dessert and was highly impressed.The setting was nice and low key, the lighting was dim, and air was nice and clean. This was greatly appreciated after a day out running around in the park.I certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to take a date. He/she will certaily be happy with their visit. Enjoy.

Comment: Love this place! The brown rice they use for the sushi rolls is unique from other brown rice ( it’s almost like a soft wild brown rice ) and it was amazing!! Loved it so much that we went for dinner two nights in row. Service is great, clean environment, would recommend this place to anyone!
