Comment: I’ve been holding out on this review for over a year because I’m greedy and want to keep this hidden gem a secret to myself, but this place deserves a review!First off, it’s a 25 seat joint. You walk in and it feels like the back streets of Tokyo: tiny, dark, chill. Perfect spot to bring a date or an old friend!There’s a copious amount of sake to choose from and they’re all delicious! If you’re not too well versed with sake, not to worry, all the bartenders here know their stuff. Food is great too, the type of comfort food your Japanese aunt would make if you rolled into her flat late at night after consuming too much sake. But to be fair, it’s real yummy when sober too! Highly reccomend the chicken karaage, Berkshire sausage, gyoza, and spicy tuna onigiri. They go great with a few glasses of sake, or better yet, a sake bomb.This place is so small and intimate that if you stay long enough, you’ll brush shoulders with some of NYC’s coolest and most eccentric individuals. Highly reccomend visiting this place, and don’t forget to order the karaage!

Comment: Really solid food and a really nice selection of sake. Food does take a bit to arrive, I would not recommend if you are in a rush.The curry rice is filling and flavorful. Id recommend getting another snack while you wait, the squid and karaage are delicious and are great with sake.

Comment: Tiny Sake bar located in East Village. The indoors has 2 small tables and some variable seating by the bar. One bartender and one cook (it appears) to run the place, so service is spotty. Appetizers were tasty and drinks were fine. A little pricey but a cool experience to check out with a friend. Definitely not a date spot, and not a group spot.

I really enjoyed the EVERLASTING ROOTS Junmai which was off menu, but recommended when looking for a slightly smokey sake. The CHICKEN KARAAGE had a tempura-like breading and nice ginger hint.

Its a tiny Japanese restaurant with an incredible selection of Sake and a huge number of tasty dishes. If you can squeeze yourself into a table, its definitely worth a try. Comment: This is a good one-drink stop on a night out if you want to visit several bars. If you can get a seat in this little place, order a round of sake bombs. Theyll bring out some beers and sake shots which are precariously balanced on chopsticks until youre ready. Have your party slam the table with your fists, the shots drop in, and you drink the whole thing.

How can I not meet them downstairs for sake. Its a cool small place with a homey vibe. Definitely worth a stop next time youre around the park.
