Also when you order delivery it comes quite quickly. Its a small place but the staff is attentive,. quick, and super friendly. Never had to wait for a table. Also the take out is good!

Comment: Elaine the server has a lot of knowledge of the food here. She’s very quick and has a good character. My guest couldn’t decide but she got them on place and recommended something quick. Im glad she took initiative.I was very pleased with the quality of the food and the ambiance. She saw I was thirsty and would bring me water without asking. There was about 14people but she single handed controlled everything. Elaine and the Mexican sushi chef really made this place shine.

As a Japanese American whose parents had a sushi restaurant, I can honestly say this sushi is delicious, super fresh, and very moderately priced!!The lunch special is an insanely good deal and the sushi for two dinner comes with a ton of pieces that is served on a boat-shaped platter!Everyone is very nice, especially our favorite the super charismatic waitress, Mandy. Comment: My go to spot for sushi in astoria. it’s affordable and i am a big fan of the lunch special. my mom and i like to go on sundays and try different rolls. they also do brown rice if you’d like (i like to). the waitress and staff are very friendly (at least when i’ve gone on sundays!). (minor note for the staff, id reconsider the outdated pop music playlist?! can’t imagine the sushi making chefs enjoy listening to that all day!)

Comment: The few times Ive been here werent so bad, and every time Ive been here its been past 9pm.Ive ordered sushi, rolls, edamame, fried rice, and bento boxes. Of all these, edamame was the most disappointing. It wasnt salty enough or warm enough. The rolls werent bad, but also not something to blow my socks off. They were good enough for me to trust that theyll be decent tasting past 9pm. The beef negimaki is probably my favorite. The beef isnt tough and chewy, and they put the right amount of scallions in the middle.Now, the fried rice was a tad different. It didnt have that fried/loose fried rice type of texture. It was softer and tasted more like a teriyaki fried rice, if theres such thing. It was sweet, and the texture was the type of texture youd expect from a paella. Am I mad at it? Absolutely not. It tasted pretty darn good, and there was enough pieces of chicken in there to make it feel like a bento box itself. The amount of rice given is a lot-- you could share it with 2 or 3 people, possibly. A few appetizers, an order of fried rice, and a salad can go a long way for groups of 3.The atmosphere does sorta feel like a place youd take a date to--so if youre planning a date on a Friday, dont be so shocked to have two inconsiderates next to you playing tonsil hockey like nobodys next to them.The water always has ice (my fave way to drink water), their bathroom is clean (very much appreciated), and their bathroom sink is cute (just thought Id share that).Theyre pretty solid.Id go back past 9pm again, why not.

Comment: Wow! Amazing sushi! I got the shrimp tempura, peanut avocado, eel avocado, and salmon skim rolls from the lunch special. The peanut avocado was our favorite, but all of the roles were perfect and crisp. All of this for $15 Will be back for sure.

Forget that its reasonably priced and forget that the service is excellent. The quality of the food is as you as you are going to get in the Ditmars area of Astoria. The sushi sashimi for two is our goto dish. We always walk out of this place full and happy.*Bonus Tip*: Get the fried cheesecake. It doesnt sound like it would be nearly as awesome as it actually is.
